I miss these embark animations. I kind of wish they could still use them in Titanfall 2. What I miss the most is how the titans in tf1 were more personal. The Stryder in tf1 appeared to be more eager to help its pilot than in tf2 where it stands there like an impatient child waiting for you get in. Even the Ogre was like a patient old man who would wait methodically and move in a way that would allow its pilot the easiest opportunity to climb aboard. And then thete was the Atlas, this one felt like the pilots big brother when it would grab you out of the air with the greatest amount of care and understanding. I guess what I am trying to say is that I miss the first person embark animations and would really like it is Respawn would update the game with the option because I don't know if they did. Still it would feel more like tf1 if they did.
I'm actually pretty furious that they left out the Atlas because in titanfall 2 they remade the stryder and ogre. Stryder was remodeled into ronin and ogre into scorch. But no atlas...When I'm in deep shit and I run for my atlas for protection I get chills up my spine every time I embark because it's almost like he's saying "I got you bro!" I miss the atlas.
Thank you for your words. Believe it or not I am a writer and author of a book who enjoys creating new video game ideas. I have created over twenty eight titans that follows tf2's style of specialist titans. I have given each of them a unique weapon, abilities, cores, kits and even executions to make them feel special. Understand that some of them are slight variations of the existing seven, but they fit more into the lore of tf2 than they do the combat. I am also working on a fan fiction that takes some of these titans I have created and weaves them into the story. It even brings a new Titan class to the forefront that I invented, I call it the Kronos, a super titan of sorts. Since you shared your personal opinion with me on the embark animations, I will share with you the name of all the Titans I have created. All I will give is their name and chassis type. If you want to know more all you have to do is ask.
Here are my Titans: Hive-Ogre; A walking Specter/Stalker factory Dredge-Atlas: Deep sea salvage and maritime hunter Demon-Atlas: Atlas version of Scorch armed with burning plasma and lightning. Nitro-Atlas: Tar, napalm and fields of fire. Quake-Ogre: A mining Titan with limited gravity manipulation. Lawman-Stryder: A riot suppression Titan pressed into military service. Spearhead-Stryder: A high risk, high reward fighter that charges into battle with heavy bayonet rifle. Backdraft-Stryder: Built for swampland traversal, armed with shoulder mounted fans that can blow you away. Meltdown-Ogre: A nuclear fission Titan equipped with resource driven deployable abilities. Glutton-Atlas: Acid spewing Titan capable of denying large areas from enemies with lingering acid. Neptune-Atlas: An irrigation Titan which fights with water, armor repairing mists and volatile alkaline metals for an explosive punch. Warthog-Atlas: The Titan version of the A-10 Thunderbolt. Daedalus-Ogre: Armed with a scaled down version of the Foldspace weapon from the Titanfall 2 campaign that can fit in a Titan's hands. Hyena-Stryder: A resource based scavenger who can mod its revolver styled weapon five times over the course of its lifespan. Tesla-Stryder: A lightning Titan who heals friendly Titans and overloads enemies. Hermit-Stryder: Self-sufficient Titan who scavenges ammo from enemy or friendly Titans and can go toe to toe with an Ogre. Vulcan-Ogre: A demolition Titan armed with a wrecking ball, self-repair function and military grade glue cannon. Viking-Ogre: Liquid nitrogen Titan who can match speeds with a Stryder temporarily. Beware of ice drill. Herald-Atlas: An anti-jamming Titan complete with orbital strike weapons package and repair drone. Blight-Stryder: A hacking Titan who wreaks havoc upon enemy Titans and can even turn auto-titans against their pilots temporarily. Dragoon-Stryder: Fastest Titan of the bunch whose core causes him to hover in the air and come crashing down, dealing lots of damage in target area. Huntress-Stryder: An assassin Titan armed with a cobalt dagger and a belt fed autocannon. Only Titan that can fire its primary weapon while sprinting. Blinx-Stryder: A warping Titan capable of charging enemy lines and recharging its powerful abilities. Payload-Ogre: A heavy assault Titan armed with all manner of rocket salvos, mines and mortar style Quad Rocket. Frigate-Ogre: A walking battleship equipped with cannons, gatling guns and a MIRV artillery cannon. Woodchuck-Atlas: Heavy lumber harvester with ricocheting explosive buzz saws that return to sender. Castle-Ogre: Armed with a mobile particle wall generating shockwave cannon that reduces the damage friendly titans take while behind it. Badger-Stryder: A Titan that can redirect an energy resource to power up either its offensive or defensive abilities when you need them the most.
Amazing you are just full of ideas! I'm most intrigued by the Tesla-Stryder for being a support class and the Blight-Stryder. It would be pretty sad for an auto titan to kill there pilot considering that they will serve and guard them with there life.
I adore the Ogre animations, primarily from the back embarks due to the fact that the pilot jumps backwards into the cockpit with their arms crossed. Kinda gives it a power ranger feel.
Seeing this makes me wish they made blooper animations like the Titan accidentally bonks the pilots head when he gets in via the Titans hand or maybe the pilot just came up a little too short on the slide when coming from the back and they just scoot themselves to the hand, something funny really
There is one thing I love that titanfall has that titanfall 2 doesn’t....... that it’s animations are first person and not boring third person. Those are my beliefs
is it just me or are Titans bigger in titanfall 1 than in titanfall 2? maybe not actually taller per se, but they just seem more imposing in the first game. something about the graphics, something about the depth of field or field of view, just makes them seem like they have a more tremendous presence
I don't really have this impression even though I played both , in this video though I'm crouching most of the time. And they are still 6m tall. So, yeah, I don't know :>
datpolakmike no your right the titans in the second game have a slimmer build then the ones in the first but respawn had to tone it down because there more different types of rirams and the maps aren't as big as they were in the first game forcing them to make the titan bit boxs smaller and it would be awkward with huge titans that have small but boxs not only that but the atlas chassis is tone in titanfall2 the strider chassis is ronin in titanfall2 and the oger chassis is scorch on the second game and the other chassis is based of them but monarch which has it's own original chassis but you didn't need to read all this btw if your wondering why I used so much game design taulk is because I majored in it
I rewatch this video every now and then. It makes me feel nostalgic and i just love to admire the awesome animations that they made for the embarks. It also makes me sad that titanfall 2 doesnt have the first person embarks. I like the way that they made use of the titans characteristics while showing us the embarks like for example when the pilot grabs on to the ogres shoulder and then the handle bar inside to climb in. I wish these details would be present in current/next instalments (if there will be any).
Wish they had this in titanfall 2, it's so fun and satisfying everytime you got your titan, or hell you could just embarking and disembarking for days without getting bored and inside your mind will be thinking of another embarking animation of your own idea. Details levels in titanfall 2 is at okay-good level but lacks of FP embarking animation and background story telling by the good ol' famous grunts like titanfall 1, how they discovered that map like "Glitch", it would make a good background story or story after the Typhoon Destruction (and also it's unclear if titanfall 2 multiplayer is before or after the Campaign so it might gets complicated) Would make the game way better imo
nonname123 Multi Gamer Tbh I wish to see titanfall 3 handled a lot like the first game it felt like they put soo much time and effort into everything. For instance the maps are better, and pilots look hella cool. I would like to see customization going further like you can choose the way you want you pilot and titan look if they can’t do that because of design issues then I would like to see more skins for factions and playing the game , like reach gen 100 and get the original titan or pilot skins. Or get the 64 Skin. No more overwatch characters I know this means stuff is going to be unbalanced, but I rather not have a million tones on the battle field with I win abilities. Make it like the first game we need less hero titans. It’s boring and just lazy. Maps need to be like the first game we can’t stress that enough No more I win abilities like phase shift because you don’t know how to fight Burn cards First person embarking and animations Speed up wall running I feel sluggish in the second game , and less bright light on pilots I was really dissatisfied about the way the second installment was treated maybe the 3 game can be the great as great as the first game.
For me titanfall 2s movement is way better and I liked how colorful it was the customization was very lacking it's also very unbalanced which I think titanfall 1 was I haven't played in forever but I remember burn cards just being win the game buttons plus the smart pistol was a regular weapon which is bullshit at least I think it was I never really used it.
There’s different Titan voices that also behave differently. For example, Ronin says “An unfortunate loss” when a friendly is killed. That alone is above titanfall 1
I don't really know why they changed the animation in Titanfall 2, but dang I always preferred this. You feel more like you *are* the pilot and that the titan is yours. Also the old titan loadouts were cool, Respawn should mash it with the new titans in the third game. What I mean is that you can just change what weapon/ability you have that fit the Titan's class. For example: -A Scorch should have a other option of Ordnance besides the wall of Fire, a Cluster Missile but it's basically Thermite(Firestars) would have been cool. -A Tone and A Northstar should be able to wield the Quad Rockets too, like the Mortar Titan and the Brute Titan (both using it with Tone and Northstar chassis) -Ronin's Tri-Grenade Launcher as an alt-Fire for the Shotgun is something I think would be cool. Sword Block could also be switched with a Counter for certain projectiles and for Melee that would reset the Dash cooldown. -Monarch could have the Arc Cannon as an alternate weapon instead of the XO-16. The "Arc rounds" upgrade would instead be something like a faster charge and an extended multi-target, dealing more damage or Slowing down enemies around the main target. Everything that I wrote up there right now is just ideas I thought would be cool to share if weapons and abilities could be switched on a Titan class (that fits their intended archetype though) (TL;DR plz respawn make Titanfall 3 more customizable :p)
I’ve thought about the same thing for Titan upgrades: giving them more customization aside from just appearance. I completely agree. Also apparently they replaced 1st person embarking animations with 3rd person embarking animations so you could see your pilot and Titan camos. Also it gives you the ability to have more awareness of your surroundings. Frankly I don’t care about being able to see what my pilot/ Titan looks like. I just want that feeling of power and personality when jumping into my Titan
These are some good ideas. I always like the idea of being to have more customization options. I had an idea where instead of having multiple Titans like in 2, you would just have the original 3 chassis and could customize their looks, and load-outs. For example, I take a Stryder loadout and want to give it a Northstar chassis look but spec its abilities more into that of Ronin and Stryder.
I always loved the atmosphere and design of Tf1 over Tf2, with its militaristic atmosphere. I also prefer the 3 titan chasis over the specialist titan loadouts; I just like how they felt more like mass produced weapons used for every situation rather than the overly specific specialist which make you feel more like a mercenary. (Not saying I hate them, just prefer Tf1 titans.) I also loved the cuztomization of titan weapons, being able to pick a gun for your titan rather than it be stuck on one specialist. I hope they go back that route with 3.
I hear the respawn has no plans for titanfall three because they’re all hands on deck for Apex legends and a Jedi fallen order 2 Respawn doesn’t do a titanfall 3 We need ask dice to do a titanfall 3 using the same engine as battlefield 2042 if they keep some of the titanfall one atmosphere with his militaristic theme I’ll go with it especially dice knows how to do Military aesthetics
@@kevingame3198 Problem is Respawn owns Titanfall, and because its technically part of the Apex legends, thst would mean giving up licenses to them too. Besides Im pretty sure they'll get around to it sometime in the future, as they havent entirely given up on it, they just dont see it as a major priority right know.
As much as i love playing in 3rd person in general, i gotta admit the 1st person animations for boarding really help capture the scope of the titan. Uv just gone from a highly maneuverable foot soldier to a towering body of armor and weapons. Genuinely awsome
I liked the first person cockpit view of an ogre. It felt like I was hopping into a walking bunker or fortification and I was actually safe and didn’t need to worry about being sniped in the head from the ground
I think The reason behind the titans being less customizable in Titanfall 2 is because, after the battle of Demeter resources are low and custom load outs were too resource heavy.
I still miss these animations and the customizable Titan voices. Side note: I love how Atlas and Stryder give the pilot a helping hand for most of their animations and Ogre just stands there for most of his.
Honestly these are so much more satisfying. I wish we had an option to turn them on for TF2, though I will admit the third person animations have saved me more than once from a pilot about to get a sneaky rodeo
I wish Titanfall 3 had these Titan helping pilot to get in fast So cool I am so glad that I could experience Titanfall 1 in 2020 and in 2021 even though I missed out on it on release.
I never played the first game but I definitely like the first-person view of getting into the Titans and the unique ways of Embarking. Titanfall 2 is definitely more fast paced and focused more on gameplay. While Titanfall 1 really focuses on the role-play of being a pilot and being in your Titan. Definitely really sick. Titanfall 1 should have never been taken off the Microsoft store.
I miss this game so much. Me and my friends want to start a development company. While we make quite a few new games, we want to revamp a few childhood favorites with all the respect they deserve
I know the Titanfall 2 animations kinda allow you to see your surroundings for a sec in 3rd person, but I personally think these look a lot nicer and are easier on the eyes.
I think there should be a toggle for first person and third person embark animations. First person is more immersive and cool, but 3rd person is more cinematic and pretty
This got recommended to me. I miss the Ogre "Hey Bird" animation, where he uses his arm to aid the pilot to embark, kinda like a mongol warrior waiting for his eagle to return
I find it interesting that they sit still, completely lifeless and motionless with the hatches open, as if waiting for the pilot to come in and animate them. Meanwhile in TF|2 they're sitting there primed and ready, as if they waiting to meet up with you but more than happy to take the fight to the enemy without you. Although, there is definitely more personality between the chassis in this game in how they help the pilot onboard.
While I do kind of miss these I can understand why they cut them for TF2. There's a lot of dead time in those animations where you can't fight back and you're just a sitting duck, so the choice is either make them invincible and interrupt the flow of gameplay for other players, or shorten the animations to make it as fair as possible for everyone.
There's one more embark animation for the Atlas which is extremely difficult to trigger. I can't remember exactly how to trigger it and I've only seen it once or twice ever. I know that it requires you to be in midair, I want to say you need to start very close to the titan's body, and the animation starts by grabbing onto the top dome-shaped "eye" module and hanging there for a brief moment to halt your momentum.
You're right! I'm not sure if you're talking about this one, but it's missing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8H98yDXGz3g.html I need to remake everything now...
I like the first person animations of titanfall 1 more than the cinematic animations of titanfall 2. It makes it seem like you are the pilot embarking your own personal titan
I knew you had first person the entire time on tf1 this was my only complaint on titanfall2 please God developers when you make titanfall 3 in 2060 please bring back these animations I searched for these forever. 1st person load animations were the best.
I think I like Titanfall embark and finisher animations more than the Titanfall 2 ones don’t get me wrong Titanfall 2 has some finisher animations that are just beautiful like legions and monarch’s but still
does anyone here feels like the motor power is lighter and softer than in Titanfall 2? it feels clean, but in Titanfall 2 it jsut too loud, but it does gives more feel to the titan of how power hungry they are.
I like the cool animations from titanfall 2 but these first person ones just feel way more personal if they do make tf3 which could be hit or miss i hope they have an option for 1st or 3rd person either way i still play both games
Titanfall 1 has been pulled from storefronts. It is now only possible to play it by getting a Deluxe Edition or Standard+Season Pass cd keys (otherwise free DLCs are not available!). The servers on PC are hit or miss in terms of their status, mostly missing a hit. The servers on both Xbox consoles are 100% working properly and the servers on Xbox One have a healthy player base. Come and play with us on xbox❤️👍
I forgot how big the dome shield was back in tf1, I mean, you could drop a titan in and in the time that shield was still up you could fit an entire team in there amd an extra 2 or 3 titans
Bruuuuh I miss the voice customization In your titan wish they kept that for TF2 I completely forgot about the badass deep Arnold voice I had on my titan.
More than all of these... I miss ripping a pilot out of their titan and crushing them in your hands. I think that might've been the most satisfying thing in the whole game.
I honestly think Titanfall 2 is so painfully overrated,it feels like overwatch compared to the first one. Maybe it's all the flashy ability icons at the bottom that all have individual cooldowns. They feel more like powers than military equipment and that just takes me out of it. Tf1 plays like a gritty FPS while Tf2 plays more like a hero shooter.
