This is more my style when I use the grapple. Prefer to just use it for course corrections and juking people out. Obviously I'm not THIS good though. Also it's just fun to play like this, makes me feel like I'm Spider-Man or like I'm from Attack on Titan lmao.
Using an elite with bumper jumper. left paddle tactical, right paddle crouch. sensitivity at 6, but i don't recommend going that high if you plan on ads. I change sensitivity depending on the weapon i am using.
I've been using grapple since the beta. I loved it when I found out about the new mechanic to the Titanfall world. I originally used it traverse the surroundings with my double take. Been using that since launch
Love this. I love that after months playing this game, you can find more stuff like this to learn and take your game next level. Recently been making some great flag caps by juking past guys around tight corners and whatnot with the CQB grapple. Hookers for life
And this is how you'd use the grappling hook in the game it was taken from, Tribes Vengeance. Yes, slingshot was also there, but the biggest reason you'd use it (as it was taking one of two weapon slots) was to cut corners without losing any momentum and doing 180s on people chasing you.
Honestly its kind of weird cuz at least for me I picked it up and I loved it and got super high kill games for a while, after that I kind of dropped it and when I came back it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. for me at least I have phases where I use a gun for a while and don't use anything else, then I drop it for the next month. if you try to use the alternator a lot I'm sure you'll see its true potential lol
Adriel Torresola I've been messing around with guns I've never used before in Titanfall 2. I'm always scared of being the reason we lose, so I don't do it often unless I know without a doubt that it is useless like when I join a losing game late. It won't count against me and the score is too high to make a comeback so I'd mess around. I'm using the Cold War rn, it's so fun but has some BS moments when the other pilot is on like 1% health left...

I was using Grapple since I started TitanFall 2, I didn’t care that I didn’t know how to use it Never knew it was actually a popular thing but the time I got it, it was around the time it was released (2 months after release) so I guess I’m one of those who used it before people saw its potential I was a complete noob though I’m at least a descent player
This is either classic move for followers where two one you tuber creates drama with another and they use it to gain popularity/publicity or this man really is the best grapple guy and inequity is just a god damn bum. I like the bum one.

Not gonna lie, iniquity got me into using the grapple. ever since i started using it, i've averaged more kills per match. as you said in the beginning, i use it to get behind the other team in the beginning of the match and get a few surprise kills.
It's like a whole new game. On that map with the infected mountains, there's about 4 drop ships between you and the enemy team. I always swing off them, and get too the enemy team 3.7 seconds into the map, whip out that wingman elite and go too town on people that just grabbed their controller. Try it yourself!
Phase shift was meta, but super awkward. It, and grapple, may have more utility, but I'm still stimming it up bby. Nothing feels better than abruptly healing and faceplant-charging a guy with your shitty Spitfire Also, Monarch hype and glad you're back in the saddle
Nice. You are amazing. But in my opinion I think that stim comes very close to grapple with the right class. I play as an aggressive character. I use stim to get in people’s faces with the r-97 and melt their faces or use the alternator and run around them while shooting them. It works pretty good and is super fun. In this game mobility is the key. The faster you go the better you are. Unless you are an titan. I use legion just to kill the other titans the get back on the ground killing more pilots after my legion dies.

I think they should trash the grapple bcs of how broken it can be at times or try and fix it (Flying like super man) its cool with me they way he uses it.. maybe add a blink ability like in overwatch tracer or something like that idk just an idea. u should have to use the wall running to build up ur movement like in TF1
I hope Respawn took the time at least to fix the hit detection issues while sligshotting with the grapple, and the balancing issues with Capture the Flag.
Hell, it don’t even matter to me that I suck with the grappling hook. I am GOING to use it. If I can move fast, then I WILL move fast. Aka, I’m a lucio main too.
The game was updated, and now you can only use the grapple hook once, and have to wait for it to recharge. I stopped playing the game because I couldn't chain my shots and it ruined it for me.
