You would probably LOVE Grapple Island on VR Chat. It's all the great things you love about grapple mechanics... except in VR, in first person, with a true feeling of speed and height. I'm addicted to it!
That's a feature i can never get tired of in a game, either be first person, action, platform, etc. But i do prefer when it's fully free mechanic instead of specific hook points like in Hi-Fi Rush, Mirror's Edge Catalyst or Uncharted 4
Ultrakill has great grappling hook although it's mainly used in combat. fortunately, despite limited to mostly combat and occasional hookpoint traversal (and occasional item grabbing), there are other movement options to compensate for that.
I was just thinking up a grappling hook video- but I couldn't top this. just discovered ur channel when a friend sent me to aim assist finals video- really got to applaud your work, youre wildly under-noticed. I hope to see this channel really take off this year 👏keep it up, man.
Lost Planet 2 was some of the most fun Ivte had with a grappling hook in a game the movement and combat was so much fun, having 4 people co-pilot a Mech was the bees
7:56 Hi from the future, Halo Jumping is sick and the Ninja Warrior courses are only getting better including, of course, rope swings using the Grappleshot.
I remember playing a platformer game a long time ago with a grappling hook and although I dont remember the name of the game I still remeber to this day the love I had using the grappling hook and to this day I still havent expirienced anything more fun in video games than grappling hooks for movement
Wish every game has grappling hooks cause it looks so damn fun flying without using any flying vehicles or items that contains gasoline that goes VROOOOM all the time lmao 😂
Hey, I know this video is 8 months ago, but there's one more game that has grappling hook without using tech but space magic... Today, Bungie made a new DLC of Destiny 2 called Lightfall, they made a new second dark subclass called Strand, mostly they made grappling hook as abilities, just like Titanfall or Apex Legend (Pathfinder) or Spider-Man too... This thing is awesome, problem is you have to buy that DLC and complete campaign and quest to unlock Strand (Same as DLC Beyond Light, unlocking Stasis)
I can't believe you made a video about hooks in video games and you didn't mention any game in the tribes franchise, they were literally the most fastest fps games for years
