Leo Swainbank you should check out FrothyOmen, UnkknownSoldier and Titanfall 2 News And Tips - Titantime here on youtube as well, Tony Mo makes great content but if you want more.
Tony Mo btw, if you actually enjoy using it, could you try to make a video on this Zarya cosplay? I'm sorry if you didn't enjoy, but I thought it would be nice.😅
Tony Mo if you ask me the only downside to this loadout is 9/10 times when ever i try to give a titan a battery the guy in the titan thinks I'm an enemy and try's to kill me and gets killed in the process I try to go after the close to death titans
Thank you so much for this loadout suggestion! I've been running The Shepard build all weekend and have been absolutely loving it! Definitely going to keep experimenting with the build
I started to play a week ago, mostly because of your videos and I love the game. the learning curve is definetly steep so I was using Tone at first but now that I am more comfortable I started to us Ronin and boy is it a lot of fun. The battery boost does help mitigate its weekness and make it a viable option. keep up bringing the great vids!
Please do many more of these Loadouts. I know they are fun to you but they are really giving me good ideas as well as giving me a better understanding of different metas that are possible in Titanfall. This game is borderline MOBA. Love your work.
The "Football" pilot loud-out: Grapple pilot to get to high places and move quickly, the soft ball and MGL as the Primary and Secondary with Wingman as a second secondary for the time you need to fight head to head. I found it's great to use this loud-out with the Tone or Scourge. I just figure to say my personal loud-out right here since... some other people already said their own. Anyway, I tested out the Shepard Loud-out on a few games, and loved it. It was kinda hard at the beginning but still a amazing loud-out for helping on the frontlines for me, good work with making it :3
Loved the video dude!!! I use Battery boost all the time and my friends call me Christmas haha I just like supporting team mates as well as charging up my titan also, right?? (PS, I now wear the FIRST AID patch since it works so well with my play style lol) Thanks for the vids, keep 'em comin'!!
For tacticals anything ecxept a-wall is honestly pluasable, yes even holo pilot. Phase shift- Maximize survivability with easy dodges and escapes Cloak- Completely invisible to titans. Enough said. Stim- allows you to attack and retreat across the entire map, unlike phase shift, however you can be shot. High risk/reward Grapple- You can move across the map at amazing speeds and can hook on to titans and ejecting pilots. Holo-pilot- although its a meme it can be used here to distract enemy titans and confuse them as you either escape or attack.
This is exactly what I did in the free multiplayer weekend. I actually don't like playing in Titans, but love the Titan aspect of the game. So, I decided to focus on creating batteries for my Titans and stealing batteries from enemy Titans. Though I do use Grapple instead because I just find it too fun a mechanic.
No kidding about the batteries winning fights, I went into a Last Titan Standing match and was left in a 1v3 fight. I won, but only because I had 3 teammates still alive constantly bringing me batteries mid-fight. Most players don't realize how effective a dedicated support teammate can be.
I've already been playing like this since day 1. The courier (alternatively 'The Runner'). The battery mechanic and the teamplay involved with rodeos on both enemies and allies REALLY caught my attention. It's fun, it's dangerous, it helps, it's cooperative. Some key differences between your build and how I've done this (not that you're wrong, options are options, and yours works really well) are my Tactical, Ordnance & Titan. I run Stim to get batteries from point A to B as quick as possible, I run Arc Grenade to disorient and blind enemy Titans to escape with their batteries (two charges is nice, and I kept killing myself on my own firestars when boarding enemy Titans) and I run Northstar. Because... Northstar, I guess.
The wingman elite is pretty good on frontier defence. A single magazine can take out an entire reaper and one shots grunts and can make pilots regret their loadout choice and it pairs with anti titan weapons greatly
I have a similar Pilot class that I call 'LTS' solely for use in Last Titan Standing, but I use the grapple so I can get onto Titans more quickly. Still trying to master Ronin. Up to level 13 now, but still getting destroyed when getting in close. I do like the Ronin OS voice, though. "Friendly Titan destroyed. An unfortunate loss." Said with absolutely no sympathy at all!
I have a class of mine called The Shepherd! i didn't even know about this vid till now. Mines totally different though. It's purpose is to flank and channel the other players into my full team.. or just destroy them entirely lol Stim, Mastiff, Charge Rifle/RE45, either Frags or Firestar, and either Amped Weapons or Pilot Sentry(usually AW). I do use the same Pilot kits though. It's nice to see im not the only one making loadouts with a specific purpose.
This is my first time watching one of your videos Tony! But please do a loadout involving Legion, the A-wall Pilot, and the Volt, Thunderbolt, and RE-45 Auto
satch charges maybe good to try. phase shift lets you get to a safe location before boom; but i agree firestar is a good anti-titan weapon that i use mosf of the time. Also suicide ronin is a fun build, use tac nuke instead of overcore then when doomed pop phase shift then detonate. Helps if you sword push foes into geometry or use arc wave. You can earn your titan again instantly and call it in before you land from ejecting.
Here's a loadout I use I call it... THE STIM TRAIN: Mastiff with gunrunner and tactikill and really whatever secondary, I have stim gravity star and battery (the thing that makes your ability recharge faster) and that thing where you see where enemies deaths) and I also use amp. Seriously it's fun as all hell getting a pilot kill stimming to your next enemy. Then chaining it to another pilot
A friend of mine runs Ronin and I run Scorch which is great because that arc wave thing slows titans, and he has two, and my calling in life is to set everything on fire, especially the ground which titans tread upon.
I feel like Ronin should automatically execute a titan under 10% health before they are doomed. It's so freakin' annoying how hard it is to get those executions as Ronin.
this sounds so solid! and very fun I'm definitely gonna try this out. off topic but have you tried the ricochet perk for the snipers yet? it works extremely well with the double take. I've gotten a few cheeky kills from pilots I've shot once and hid indoors, I spam shots into the room they ran into and got the kill. even got a sweet double kill with it.
Yah...if team mates wouldn't run away from you when you are trying to give them batteries 😂 ...even with that "Hey I have a battery for you" feature :D
Benny Balzer It's a sound audio clip so you can't really hear it while your blasting away your giant ass gun.Should be more of a blue arrow on the screen that shows you were they are working exactly that red arrow that shows were your getting shot from.
Did you know that if you stim while putting a bettery in a friendly titan it goes a heck of a lot faster? Not sure of this applies to stealing from enemy titans, but it's something worth noting.
In my opinion: I think that Ronan's arc wave should be a 1-hit kill against pilots. Also I think that the lead wall reload should receive a slight reload speed increase (10% speed increase, give or take) or a 5 round magazine. I'm more lenient to the former because as ronin, you're going to be in enemy Titans' faces a lot meaning that after you've dumbed your lead wall magazine, you're just standing their at point blank range without a way to fight back while they hammer away at you with their primary. The lead wall just seems so underwhelming. If you read this and are able to provide a legitimate reason this would make ronin op, let me propose: slightly reduce ronin's standard melee damage against Titans but leave sword core damage untouched
I love this tactic. Doing it already (not with phase shift tho ^^ ) But its a little bit frustrating, that most members don´t get it, when I want to deliver a battery, and run away - and you die as a supporter, left behind xD - but Oh lord when they get it, it really pays off, and is really fun. - Even TF2 player will get chatty and say HEY! COOL THANKS BUDDY etc :D Great video :)
+Progwale haha I've had plenty of those moments also had a few messages saying thanks for making those battery deliveries! Also cool to receive a message from another player in a positive sense.
It's great when new players get it right away. Had a guy playing his first ever LTS match deliver a battery to me. He had no idea how to rodeo and I just t-bagged the floor until he could.
So I just watched this video. I do something very, very similar to the Pilots load out where instead on the Alternator, I run Volt. Seems better in my hands. I also run Arc nades so I can stun titans vision to get away easier. I also run the Pilot kit where It reduces the time for Phase Shift. And for Ronin, I use Nuclear Detonation, but stay with me, which i pair with Phase Reflex, which pulls you out of combat for a short time. During that time, I manage to get in the centre of the enemy titans "ring" and detonate. Ive timed it so when I pop back into existence, I detonate immediately, giving the enemy team no time to react.
In the interest of a Ronin Guide at some point... some info from a Gen 7 Ronin player. (I know you go over most of this in your video already, but I wanted to cover everything) Ronin is very fast, for in-and-out hit-and-run engagements. It matches up BEST against Northstar and Scorch. Close range and Phase Shift for Northstar and her tethers, mid-range and the Leadwall shotgun for Scorch. IMPORTANT: It excels at sneaking up on low health Titans, knocking the health into Doomed range with the Leadwall, then quickly performing executions. Also excels at killing pilots at titan-eye level or lower. Extended melee range makes quick work of enemy pilots trying to board you or run from you. Wounded, Weak, and/or Small is your niche. THIS IS WHERE YOUR POINTS WILL COME FROM. Watch out for anything above titan-eye level, though: Ronin's Leadwall lacks the splash damage to kill anything over the lip of an edge. Also, despite respectable damage output, Leadwall only has four shots, and must be reloaded often. If possible, try to engage Titans near crates or walls you can rotate behind for reloading when using it. Use Phase Dash sparingly, for emergencies like avoiding core abilities (best way is to phase to the other side of the Titan), or to quickly flank or phase through slow titans and escape tethers. Just be very careful not to Phase Dash INTO another titan, as we all know it causes instant death. For you. Not them. The sword block is ridiculous. It can block literally anything, from bullets, to rockets, to electric smoke, and even NUCLEAR EJECTIONS (provided you're not too close). It blocks best when you're facing danger, so keep your head on a swivel. Keep in mind that you can dash while blocking as well. It may not block damage completely, but it counts. The Sword Core drastically improves Ronin's damage output with the sword and Arc Wave, and is incredibly helpful for defeating Titans where extended encounters are dangerous (Tone and Legion). Keep in mind that while active, Leadwall cannot be used. As such, using the Sword core against close quarter powerhouses like Scorch can be detrimental. Assault Chip is good for a "Battery Runner" setup as it allows your Ronin to perform autonomously. Overcore is helpful, but I've found that after one titan kill, Ronin's core is usually close if not already full. I use Nuclear Ejection, and explain why below. DO NOT use Stealth Auto-Eject and Phase Reflex together: it's a waste of a kit slot. If you need to use one, pick between them. Turbo engine is unnecessary, since Ronin essentially has three dashes already. Ricochet rounds hasn't been too helpful for me. Melee-ing pilots is much easier, faster, and conserves your four round clip. Thunderstorm and Temporal Anomaly are both good choices for Ronin's kit. The loss of Leadwall makes Highlander potentially dangerous. Use whatever setup feels right. I personally use Nuclear Ejection for two reasons: mostly because Ronin's low health gives him a short life expectancy on the battlefield, and also because you can start the Nuke sequence while Phase Dashing. This means that while up against slow inattentive titans, you can Phase Dash right next to them and explode for lots of damage and possibly kills. It's also a nice last ditch offensive option against multiple titans when severely outnumbered, surrounded, or when you need to clear a LZ for the dropship. The damage you do quickly works towards your next titan, perhaps even allowing you to get your next one instantly. (Because ejecting makes you vulnerable, Phase Dash or Cloaking are good Pilot abilities to pair with Nuclear Ejection) ...okay, I'm done.
Legion is the slowest of the Titans, I think Tony wants a hit and run tactic not a protector build (that would make the A-wall a better choice rather than phase shift).
How about instead of phase shift, you can use cloak? You're going to be in titans' faces, they can't see you at all, so... maybe cloak would be a better option, but phase shift sounds like it'd work perfectly
this is what I do in LTS if I'm playing a squishy Rogan and die early. just force feed my team batteries (i use cloak and the SMR though since I don't have to worry about many pilots)
I have used this when it was alive (hopefully will be with apex legends) and used my legion with a smart ai distracting the titan while i grab a battery and when my team had sheilds i led the wolves away from my sheep often losing my life and titan while my sheep can attack
Like the idea of the loadout and the series as a whole, you have a new sub in me. My only comment would be as Ronin, never run overcore. Sword core is by far the worst titan core ability in the game. Its damage given to taken ratio is terrible. Essentially it is a glorified escape mechanism, but for a core ability to be your escape isnt worth investing a kit ability into it. Go with extra dash, especially given all your talk on hit and run tactics. Then, depending on whether you are running extra phase dash or not, you either have 4 or 5 dashes which allows for maximum mobility and harassment. If ronin's low heath means anything, it means you need to try as hard as possible to not get hit. Again, like the vids, keep up the work.
@@alcoholic402 the game pretty much died in Australia around this time, but I did do a lot of support, stealing batteries and stuff. Low profile is a must for sure. It's a shame, the game is AWESOME :)
Nice team based loadout, best way to build timer is to steal a battery and drop it in a friendly which gets you to about 90% on it. Not related to this video but when does dlc drop for preorder and non preorder players.
I would rather go for a tone Titan not because I'm a cheater and I just wanna have the best stuff in the game but I think it's good cause this load out is all about supporting your friendly Titans, making sure enemy Titans don't destroy your teams
Great stuff that is but wouldn't the pilot kit be better with something like "stim and special recharge rate" for quick pickups and deliveries? You could also try using a tankier titan like legacy, ion, or scorcher for more survivability than ronin? (Btw, tone might work really well in a heated situation because he can just drop a shield, you can get out and pickup a battery but fuck tone so no....)
Hey mix it up however you like =). I create so many combinations for these loadouts, it's almost a dice roll of which ones get featured. I can argue reason for myself for hours making up justifications for each selection whether it's for a purpose or just to fit a theme haha.
would a grapple hook work well? in my experience it does cause it helps get onto enemy titans, steal the battery, grapple to safety, and can help get onto friendly titans who wont stop moving
This is My Loadout, but Power Cell instead of Fast Regeneration, and instead of Alternator. I use Double Take or Softball (Softball Mainly for Trolling). Then that's how I Play my Titan and I Only use Ronin
Do we have to use the Altinator because i suck balls with it. Any suggestions on what other Primary weapons i cna use that will be as effective or at least as effective as possible. thanks Tony Mo you rock.
+AHeroAlmost it would but I never play with cloak lol. Just not in my blood, I find it incredibly frustrating to be occasionally killed by a cloaked pilot so I'm actively boycotting the cloak until it's modified by Respawn haha. I have no problem with others using it but I can't personally find enjoyment in an ability that lets me go on ridiculous sprees, makes me feel dirty lol
Also, LITERALLY every reason he said for why he prefers dome shield is a reason why warpfall is good. You call it in during a heated battle on top of enemy titans. You wait for a shorter period of time, get the chance for a potential kill, and get into the action to help your team as fast as possible. I personally prefer dome shield on most of my titans anyway, but the explanation he gave for why dome shield should be used is completely ridiculous. I mean, yes, dome shield can act as an actual shield(for both sides, by the way. Your team can't shoot through it either), but it's very rare that engagements will be affected by it in any meaningful way, whereas outright eliminating an entire enemy titan with warpfall(which, by the way, people use to get the titan into battle faster, not around a f*cking corner. How did he jump to that conclusion?) is WAY better at turning the tide of engagements. No matter what, it just comes down to personal preference, but that explanation was just absurd.
