We are Legion!

Buying Legion was the only time I used the credits I was given by the Advocate for anything. Holy shit was that the best decision I ever made. You know why? For the first time in my history with the Titanfall series, I managed to kill more than 3 Titans and stay alive all the way until the very end of the match because of Legion's "aggressive, sustained, counter-fire". I made it rain motherfucking bullets on them and they forgot their goddamn umbrellas.

At 3:30 you mentioned that you like to open with gun shield. Never ever ever should you use gun shield this way. Gun shield deploys instantly and doesn't interrupt your fire, so you should definitely hold it until you're actually being engaged. If you get the drop on your enemy by dashing around the corner your might have upwards of a full second of unretaliated fire. All this valuable time your shield is being wasted by having it up already.

I'm not sure and I don't want to declare outright in case I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the damage stats are identical of close and precision mode (Apart from power shot, close has more damage.). The only difference is ease of hitting, and DPS. In close range mode, each bullet takes 1 from the magazine, whereas at precision mode each bullet takes 2 from the magazine.

I used to run the extra ammo kit, but I tried out the one that gives your gun shield more health, and now I can never go back. It is by far my favorite of his kits because it keeps you alive so much longer. I do think that it and the extra ammo kit are definitely the best ones. The DLC one that is gonna provide two powershot charges seems interesting though.

I gotta say your the best Titanfall youtuber, I watched a few others and they don't give the Titans the love they needed or reviewed them all that well. Awesome job dude!!!!

Thank you for the Titanfall 2 coverage; I'm not that great @ the game, but I am having a lot of fun with it. These guides certainly help and I hope more people purchase and play this game.

Don't forget that Legion is the only titan that can shoot through friendly titans. It took me a while to figure this out because I always stopped shooting when people got in my way, lots of frustration that could have been avoided 😆

hey Tony Mo, love the vids, i'm a diehard legionary and love playing with him, i also run the extra dash, but i prefer hidden compartment for that extra power shot wich can really do some damage early on and after the first round of LTS, enemy's start to run when ever they see me, even ion's with there vortex rather avoid me and that is a wonderfull feeling let me tell ya hahaha. keep up the good work man, peace

Looks like an amazing Titan

When Piloting Legion: Turbo Engine+Hidden Compartment+Dome Shield. When running AI controlled Legion: Assault Chip+Bulwark+Warpfall. Can't even count how many titans have died in LTS on maps like Colony because I was able to take out a full two bars of health with point blank Power Shots and just rip into those crit spots and I normally have my smart core by the time the enemy realizes whats happening.

Also good to mention is that Legion is so far the only hitscan titan which enables you to hose through your teammates titans an using them as cover. Always switch to range mode before using smartcore if possible to higher your dps through precision.

I know this is late, but still here's a quick legion tip. If you see a friendly ion with her vortex shield up, shoot her. Your bullet will get caught in the shield and will give her extra damage when she let's go of the projectiles.

Legion is 2nd favorite titan. I use to be really bad with him. After watching, I finally understood how to be the 'Aim-bot titan'. Thanks alot.

Tony I think that long range mode only double the ammo consumption and increase the accuracy. in both mode I always found the damage to be the same

Actually I have another idea for a battle buddy of Legion. Try a tone with a Legion. The Legion grabs agro while the Tone flanks them with missiles.

i like to use the overcore and the perk that grants a second power shot charge because to me i like to constantly deal out huge waves of damage and when youre in close range you can use power shot twice and deal enough damage and by that time your smart core would be loaded and ready to use. If this tactic works correctly you should be able to kill one or two titans with never having to reload because when youre close to your ammo being depleted, you can activate smartcore and get that extra damage in time without having to bother to reload and with two powershot charges you can be dealing out more power shots over time even in smartcore

you forgot 1 helpful little hint about his charged shot, when it is in close combat gun mode it actually pushes enemy titans back, sure they can run up to you agian but not before you unload more bullets in their faces.

i love the legion so much. it's so much fun and so destructive. I run the exact same things except i go with an extended core. in my case, it feels like if i fire correctly, i'll have almost my entire core ready before i run out of ammo. So if im feeling cocky or in a risk taking mood, i will keep pushing forward tanking damage and just before i run out of ammo, i get my core ability. So i turn it on and just keep firing. i kill the grunts on the sides, the poor piolet trying to jump on me or escape, and of course im destroying the titan which is now trying to run. It feels so good to play as a legion and have it work.

Legion is the first thing i bought in titanfall 2 he is soooo op

LTS with a lone running northstar is awesome. whenever a northstar is seen people rush to kill it, than it would fallback and lead them running into a pissed off Legion. There is always that o shit, shift fire on Legion while northstar lines em up. Best part is people will be dumping everything trying to get the Northstar kill so most times they are off gaurd, after the first kill Legion is ready to return everything especially with the smart core extender. But team mate wise the best I have ever had is running with a smart pilot Tone that understands a Legion and vice versa. Shield stacking has saved me too many times from an IONs core. Love when Legion/Tone time the cores. Its completely opressive with all them rounds going down range. Team Legion all day!

i say theres also other battle buddy for legion is scorch and tone, tone give scan and particle wall, and scorch just get the enemies to a corner so legion can finish them off for good

thought just me and my friend were big on the complementary buddy system. he plays legion i played (now legion too) tone he'd rush in open up with his long range shot then hop behind my particle wall and pelt the enemy from afar while i unleashed rockets once my wall was done he pushed with his gun shield rinse and repeat. his legion would last entire matches

Try double powershot, basically takes down one bar of titan health at close range and having 2 of those at the same time is amazing

My trouble is that despite the fact that Legion is so tanky, I'm always so subconscious about my health. I think i'm losing it too quickly, yet when I watch your gameplay I feel like i'm losing it at a normal rate. Then as soon as I go back to playing, I still feel like i'm losing health too quickly, even though i'm well... not. I really need to get over this xD.

I use for kit 2 on Legion light alloys to increase speed also i use the turbo engine to increase speed

Always do longrange, it means more bullets hit critical areas if aimed and since you're not very fast it's better to be already in gear for a fight

Tips for the legion vs ion match up? It can feel like a hard counter, mostly with good vortex shield management and catching the extra damage vortex kit building core really fast. Saving smart core for Ion seems a bit excessive.

You should have mentioned the vortex shield. To many times when I play ion, il have a legion power shot me with the vortex up. It's just common sense.

What if the Legion prime titan was a close copy of the heavy arms model from Endless waltz? Would that not be the most epic titan of all time?

I've played Tone since the beginning, not knowing she was op. I just really enjoy her kit. But with everyone talking about how strong she is, I think I'll start playing Legion. I don't like playing flavor of the month characters in games :/ Thanks for detailed report

I only use precision mode and when I use my smart core everyone dies, even without ml the smart core I can run into a group and take that group out. Now you may be asking me, "Why do I need to know this?" Well it's because I dunno if I'm good or it's broken.

Hay thanks for the load out tips on legion, I myself am a legion player, and by that I mean legion is my bae to the motherfucking max. however even though my load out offered a lot of defence, I was dying too quickly due to almost always being outnumbered, and/or being caught in a nuclear blast! now that I have that dash kit, I'm able to get away from the nuclear blasts, and I'm able to minimize reload times, as well as deal more damage...thank you

I kind of disagree about the dome shield. I always use warp fall. I find that if your awareness of what's going on is good enough then you can call your titan is safe and time it so you arrive just as it hits the ground. no mess no fuss

"Let legon charge that railgun" Um...were you drunk? That chassis does not have that weapon

i figure this set up should really help i use nuclear injection thinkin it'll help but doesn't do much amd the dashes could be a necessity and i never knee switching modes real changed the damage

Playing legion with extended smart core is the best option solely for the fact that no-one wants to fight a legion with smart core. Wether it be a teamfights or a one on one. Fighting a legion who has smart core is your worst option. Legion plays through burning through his enemies and forcing them back seeing as getting close is not an option and trying to one v one him is an even worse option

Legion just feels bad imo, he's got the strongest sustained DPS out of the selection for sure but I just feel so handicapped when playing him. He's slow, a big target, and has limited pilot focused attacks; every alley feels like a deathtrap when you play him when pilots can just pop out of cover for a second to fire their MGL or Charge and you can't do anything about it compared to Tone or Ion. I just think that he's outpaced in all situations where you're on fair fighting grounds with your opponents.

I'd have to disagree with your last statement about Legion providing a sense of reward. This could be from my overall frustration with fighting him more often than any other titan. He does a hell of lot of damage, has a lot of health, incredibly powerful core ability (most powerful in my opinion). I feel like other titan's just don't stand a chance. Tone is an easy match for because his wall is easy to get around and his core isn't too terrible to deal with either. So out of frustration of getting beat by swarms of him, I've decided to try him out and found that I too could easily beat other titans. This is just me complaining. It could all probably be disregarded.

Legion never really appealed to me: partly because of his lack of speed but mostly because he only has one weapon, its a good weapon but its his only weapon, with all the other titans you have other weaponry if your main gun is out of ammo, with Legion once you're out of ammo you're boned, no way to escape properly and no other way to fight back.

I hate when my rear is not covered! HAHA Just kidding I love Legion but this will help alot.
