my goodness. Your patience in explaining this incredibly over-engineered game is impressive. I literally found myself saying THERE'S MORE to this game? 20 times in the video 😵💫
Great guide for playing this game. This game definitely has a lot of things going on and it was helpful to see it played out. My wife loves this movie and we cannot wait time play. I know this is a tragic event, but I see this more as living that moment through the characters/individuals and appreciate the reality. Anyhow, thank you!
Yeah I agree idk why people are upset about a game where you try to save people! Besides, this one is very much based off the movie which nobody seemed to be outraged by. The only thing that's inaccurate is Cal trying to save people lol.
Great video! I watched this after I had read the rules and had completed one playthrough with my son, and though I found the rules straightforward, I still caught a couple of errors my son and I had made from watching your video. Very helpful and I will be coming back to check out more of your videos. Thank you for making this! The game was a fun play through. My son loves anything "Titanic" related, so this was right up his alley, and it was fun for me seeing his enjoyment of the game. This rates about even with Monopoly for me. Familiarity of Monopoly makes that one easier to play, so that might bring it ot the table before Titanic, but Titanic is probably slightly more fun for me (at least on first playthrough and impression), so that might push it past Monopoly, but it's a close race. This game attempts to recreate the movie or nostalgia of the movie. Unless you were offended by the movie, I don't think you'll have any issue with the game and it's subject matter.
Thank you for this video! I bought it some odd many months ago ad we are so confused about how to play this game. I saw other videos on how to play this. They were no help. This video gives better instructions. Idk why those who make these games don’t give better instructions how to play it.
My OCD hated the tokens used on the scoring track as they are too big for the spaces. Lol pawn, meeple, cube anything else would be heaps better. Besides that fairly neutral on the game, looks more complicated then expected which is a bonus. I still think Jaws was the best movie to game of recent times
agree that it seemed a little complicated for a mass market type of game. That is one of the reasons we wanted to do a How to Play video to help people out. :-)
Can you remove the scene cards in gameplay? I love the movie, but acting scenes out mid-game seems kinda lame to me. The rest of the game seems like a cool concept, though.
During setup, each player gains a certain number of action cubes (based on the number of players). Unless a special action or card gives you extra cubes, you will never gain more. At the beginning of your turn, refresh all your action cubes by sliding them to the available side.
@@tantrumhousegamesHi! Just 3 questions: 1. I know you can only have 3 star CARDS at a time but is there a limit to how many star COINS you can have at once? 2. For the cards that says (I forgot the name) “End your turn HERE” do you teleport yourself in the specified room at the end of your turn or are you just supposed to be playing/ending your turn in that room? 3. For the card that allows you to exchange 1-3 for your opponent’s.. what happens if your opponent has 3 non-permanent cards and 1 permanent.. and after the exchange they now have 4 non-permanent cards. Do they discard a card to maintain 3 cards in their hand or is it something else? Thanks in advanced!
@@tantrumhousegames @lbr2613 asked really good questions! Me and my fiancé might have been playing wrong this whole time!! I’d be really interested in knowing the answers to his questions too! Please tag me when you get the chance to respond!
I agree I don't think the teacher was boring at all. This game has a shit ton of stuff going on and she did an excellent job in explaining everything in a clear and concise manner. Thank you!
