i feel that every title screen in the horizon games depict what the devs are proud of most, if that makes sense.. FH1 - The festival setting and a detailed map for its time FH2 - Dynamic water effects on cars FH3 - Colorful and vibrant Australian skies they had a hard time working on it FH4 - Game changing seasons FH5 - Near photorealistic environments
Its way better that forza horizon 4 which is all that matters to me FH4 sucked compaired to the last 3 games so really hoping this is a come back even if its just how forza horizon 4 should have been.
Forza Horizon 1 is the game which felt like an actual festival in real life, Forza Horizon 2 has some of the best lightning I've seen for a game, Forza Horizon 3 has an amazing map, Forza Horizon 4 has a lot of cars in it, and Forza Horizon 5 seems to be a bit of everything. I have high hopes for FH5, it's gonna be a great game.
EXACTLY, it seems like Forza Horizon 5 has a little bit of every good thing about the previous forzas, and this gives me hopes for the next Forza Horizon, being very similar to the 1st one, with the focus on being a nobody, driving your way up to become the Horizon champion, with an actual story and festival vibe
@@weonvirtual The amazing part is, the car sounds are even gonna be better. Forza Horizon 1 and possibly 2 used microphone recorded car sounds, FH5 is using them which is even more realistic.
@David Moore Blinkers are cool, but they don't exist in game because it's more of an arcade style racing game, it's about having fun and not needing to worry about essentials like blinkers. The roads are also more wide so cars can drive around more freely, it's not fully realistic.
That’s actually a good observation. Probably coincides with when the consoles came out. Horizon 2 was dual console with the 360/1 and horizon 5 is dual console with 1/series x/s. The new platforms probably allowed them to beef up the graphics. I own a series X and I’m so excited. Also bought a 4k tv to go with it. I know it’s going to be just gorgeous. Interested to see how the Xbox 1 holds up over time with this game. I can personally say the series X + a 4k tv is a game changer. I’ve noticed important details I never have before… but that’s me coming from a 720p 30” Amazon tv 😂. Sorry for the long reply… but the leaps and bounds TVs and consoles have made in the last few years is astounding.
@@shady8261 as time goes on graphical leaps will get shorter and shorter, since there is only so much to improve upon. I bet that once photorealism has been nailed (and we’re pretty close to that) the only real things to work on is to improve frame rates, resolution, and how much can be on screen at a time. Oh and normalising RTX as an industry standard.
@@mudtennis9842 yeah haha, my brothers let me play on their xbox. Then family problems occured and fun times ended, but in 2017, i found the game again, and i wasnt as bored haha. Im now 14 years old
@@ijv. yeah I remember going to games shop called EB games and I saw horizon sitting there and I loved forza and started off on Motorsport 2 and I picked it up and I couldn’t stop playing it lol that game has way to many memories ahaha
FH1: Getting through college FH2: Graduated from college FH3: One of the best years overall of my life FH4: Engaged/married, menu song is our wedding song. FH5: Bring me that horizon
Horizon 1 intro had the best song Horizon 2 intro had the best cars Horizon 3 intro (for me) brings back many memories, and is spectacular Horizon 4 intro is different, the same car through different seasons is clever! Horizon 5 intro had absolutely remarkable detail of the surrounding nature
that was my first new gen forza game lol (at that time), my first one was fh2 xbox 360 but man did fh3 felt like an upgrade and man was it fun, sooo nostalgic to me fr. can’t wait for fh5
After having fully played every game, each one is special in its own way. FH1: Best Horizon Storyline FH2: Most aesthetically pleasing FH3: Most environmentally diverse map. FH4: Changing seasons FH5: Largest and most vertical environment (big air!) Each game is gotten progressively better in terms of customization, online play, and number of cars. And my favorite DLC is the Hot Wheels DLC from FH3.
Me too! I got the first horizon maybe a few months after it released. I was 12 and had seen a video over this cool looking open world racing game. I had zero clue what forza was as I had just gotten a Xbox 360. I begged my dad and one day I stopped at GameStop. I was hooked from day 1. Horizon 2 and 3 were pretty good specially the vibes. I was quite disappointed in 4. Good car choices though. Nothing will ever top the original… especially the soundtrack. Best videogame soundtrack ever. I think the storyline is what sells it too. The environment is good as well. I want to move to Colorado soon after I graduate because it is a beautiful state. Just wish I had any of the dlc which I can’t find anywhere.
Me too. It was the first ever game I got on my Xbox 360 Slim. I got it on my 7th birthday and man the memories, of playing that game in the evening during Christmas time (cuz my birthday is in December), are still there! I can ever remember the smell of christmas flowers in our livingroom where I sat and played for hours! That game holds a special place in my heart. And I still have the 360!
@@Ilovebread3000 the sun glare in horizon 1 did a lot for the vibe, other than having a racewars vibe in the festival and being set in America of course, which Mexico comes close to, especially with the volcano road
FH1/2 - give me the same feeling of a fun car game FH3 - gives me that feeling of a music festival taking over with visuals of a Australian car game FH4 - gotta be honest, feels kinda depressing, in that sense of if you listen for too long you start feeling that sad kind of nostalgic FH5 - Probably gonna be difficult for me to start the game due to how beautiful that sounds
Previous FH opening screen’s song just sound like a normal game opening. FH5 makes me feel like I’m about to go on this epic adventure, and I am! And to go along with it, it really fits the setting, not to mention catchy. I’m gonna love this game.
To be fair Fh1 does have a better story, soundtrack, graphics (for its time), good car sounds( again for its time), a big map with a lot of things to do and don't for get the most important part of it all. The yellow and black viper GTS
I cant agree with you more. Somebody will say Fh1 is better but I think thats just notalgia. To be fair, new FH opening screen over each version had improvements and its really better than the old one.
@@nothingatall3104 over the course of 2 years, prob not. Sure it looks nice but the first 3 horizons have the nostalgia (and quite frankly they all look amazing on newer consoles). If fh5 had a storyline comparable to 1, it fs would be at least the 2nd or 3rd best horizon
The music in the original horizon just made the atmosphere and the game so so good, something about that game will never be topped, even with it's exploration limits and whatever. Its just the greatest
Exactly 👆 The forza horizon 1 intro just feels so much more alive. I’m not sure how to explain it, but it makes me want to get a bunch of mates together and go for a drive in the sunset with awesome music and just enjoying the freedom and having fun, and that’s exactly what horizon should be about!
you can definitely see a shift in direction starting from horizon 3, it starts to focus more on adventuring, exploration, and driving various cars instead of focusing on that party feeling with actual people in the centre, cars and car culture acting as a conduit
The music in FH1 and the visuals of the game is honestly amazing, the used to be popular edm and the older cars just make it feel like such a nostalgic game
My favourite horizon games were 1 and 2, the most memorable moments best locations, music etc, 3 went downhill in my opinion 4 was slightly better than 3, 5 looks like it’s going to be the best one yet but probably not beating the memories from horizon 1 and 2
Nothing has really beat seeing the festival from red rock in fh1, but i think fh5 might come close with the volcano, i havent been at the peak at night yet
It seems like there are less and less people in the title screens as the games go, but i love all of them, first Horizon 1 and 2, then horizon 5, horizon 3 and then horizon 4
4:04 This Is my beautiful country ''México'' I born in 2008 and I Can't wait to play the new Forza Horizon 5 in Mexico. November 9th date release the game. Because teh song its beautiful for All mexicans. Getting on Mexico 🇲🇽. ¡VIVA MÉXICO!
Horizon 4s intro is just absolutely amazing to me, I really wish the scene continued until the song looped as thats my only gripe with its intro. Just something about spinning around the senna with the environment chsnging around it makes it feel more personal than showing many different cars. 8/10 just feels unfinished. Horizon 5 looks like the start is very abrupt and a lack of focus on the cars themselves kinda lowers its rank for me, but the scenes look nice and the song feels fitting.
Fh3 music gives that feeling of awe and discovery of an amazing world.. Fh4 is more calm and serene like the English countryside ( my fav menu theme ) Fh5 is gearing us for a fun adventure through forests, volcanoes and sand dunes.
I love Forza Horizon 3 because you’re in charge of the Festival. The one issue I currently have with Forza Horizon 5 is that the Cadillac Escalade isn’t in it or it is but you have to unlock it, other than that I really love Forza Horizon 5.
FH1 intro was a flashback and definitely the best concept for racing festival, can't forget the hours I spent playing it and the soundtrack was great. FH2 and FH3 can't remember where they were recreated, someone please, refresh my mind. Have no memories from those 2 games at all. FH4 was more focused on open world, nature and the 4 seasons with many cars and very cool soundtrack. Never could obtain the entire barn find collection due a game glitch. FH5 is a FH4 enhanced, big big map. Tremendous amount in details from nature and lightning in one of most diverse countries of flora, ecosystems and geography. It's a poem to Mexico in videogames and I think Microsoft got short!!! Wish it could have a better soundtrack, intro is great.
It genuinely makes me teary eyed thinking about Christmas 2012. It was the evening we where at my nannys (grandma's house) the whole family (40 ppl) where there. I got a present wasn't sure what it was i opened it and the first thing i read is. 'forza horizon collectors edition' i was so happy and i played it so much along with forza Motorsport 4 until i got an xbox one in 2014. Now i own every forza game apart from Motorsport 4 3 2 and 1. But i can only play forza Motorsport 6 and seven And Forza horizon 2, 3 and 4 cuz i cant take disks out of the disk drive.
Fh1 is my all time favorite. Makes me want to move out west to Colorado. Fh3 I'd definitely a close second. Something about the vibe of the music and those twilight skies. My favorite part of everyday.
FH1: Porter Robinson - Language FH2: Keeno - Nocturne FH3: Dusky - Ingrid Is A Hybrid FH4: ODESZA - A Moment Apart FH5: Urbandawn - Encanto (Probably Composed by Microsoft)
In my opinion there is a timeline of forza horizon where the the 1st gen was those type of games you would see in steam that has a good campaign but does not appear in the front page. The 2nd gen was the time when graphics had a big upgrade of what we normaly would see back in 2015 and has gotten popular enough to be at the front page of steam. The 3rd gen was like the golden age of forza because when ever i hear a new forza game apparently if don’t even search it up it literally was in the popular section for me in youtube and it was pretty well known too. The 4th gen had a seasons and new effects to the cars and environment it’s more like a add on to horizon 3. Lastly the 5th gen the game is essentially like others games on Ps5 like spider man miles morales giving huge graphics changes and things that we all ask for, in return we will all be stunned to see how much the game has grown.
FH1 - I lived in WA, game is placed in CO FH2 - I lived in Germany, game is placed in France/Italy FH3 - I lived in S Korea/Japan, game is placed in Australia FH4 - I lived in PA/NY, game is placed in UK FH5 - I lived in TX, game is placed in Mexico Forza Horizon is literally a digital copy of my life the last 12yrs… it’s uncanny the coincidence and timing but it’s the game series that directly influenced my love of racing games
All of these startup screens are beautiful, the cars, the music, the graphics, the environment, this virtual universe full of cars and sheer joy has done so much for a lot of us
