its so annoying watching him play with all his blocking reaching and shooting fouls then has the audacity to question the refs when they finally call one of his fouls smh
So we’re going to act like Steph’s close outs aren’t dangerous and every screen wasn’t a moving screen? Damn… I wouldn’t be able to shoot with her getting underneath me either!!
@@BHOODXIII being physical and undercutting someone while shooting has a huge difference that can't be effaced. Steph seemed like she was actively trying to harm her.
Also for everyone saying Stephania was helping a lot let me remind you that damn near every screen she set was a moving screen...she should've been called for them just like Cash was last week.
@@ericmasker6330she never set her feet on any screen she made. She kept her feet moving and kept trying to cut tjass off from advancing around the screen. He basically had to push her a few times
@@alexguillen5532 I just re-watched this, I see what you're saying, I completely missed this when I first watched it. The initial sets are definitely not legal, they didn't get called. BUT, you can't push through the screen the way TJass did after the fact, in my limited experience, those will get called more frequently than feet not being set on the screens. But you're absolutely right, those screens should have been called first.
Not if you fast enough, just play your game and keep the ball moving with your partner. You open the floor up for miss matches and score off of good looks. You don't need massive basketball IQ but you sure as well need to communicate with your partner to have a better chance of executing plays you know will work even in a slight height disadvantage.
@@infiniteexpression3322 I was referring to the first half the video where he had Steph as his partner because he complained a lot through out the match and when it came down to the 1v1 aspect there isn't a lot of room for excuse especially when he's been here before in that capacity.
Steph worked hard to make things difficult for Carson and TJ. Julian played a massive second game - puking and everything. Ran his heart out. Big respect to both.
This was good. I liked this structure a lot more; add a 15-second shot clock to put the pressure on. I think Julian held his own; size can't be taught, but his heart is all there. He just took a few ill-advised shots instead of using his teammate.
She was constantly setting moving screens. Dirty play. Game 2 after every check up. And then people trying to call Jass dirty for the foul? When in reality his intention wasnt to foul it was to get through the ILLEGAL SCREENS she had been setting all game that the refs werent calling. Why do you think Julian got so many open 3s off checkup that game?
He is a great player at this level. He gets hate because he is a douche and him and his dad hyped him up like he was a Zion/RJ level high school prospect. Which obviously he is no where close
it's crazy how when homegirl was hurt on the ground, julian literally said he's more upset that he can't score. and jass said we gotta make sure she's okay. That's crazy.
That is so sad, she has such a nice shot and spirit. Never wanna see anybody get injured, my "career" got cut short due to ACL/MCL/PCL all at once.. 😢 pray she's alright.
Julian got outclassed on size there at the end and TJass knew it. Great few games tho. Sad to see an injury happen, but I was also excited for the 1v1 when they announced it.
The game wouldn’t have been as close if Carson actually played defense. She let Julian just run by her and tjass had to catch up by going around her to get to him at the basket. But good game to everyone and I hope Steph is ok
@@thomastes508 she put her bow in julien chest and put his ass on the ground though. Stop actin like it's easy for a female to guard a dude. even though julien is small, he's faster than her.
I haven’t made it through the whole video, I’m at game two. But it’s so funny to see Julian play his heart out against a RU-vidr 😅 asking for fouls on the girl when he is throwing bows himself 😂
@@warstars8382 "when was the last time he did something"just now he was poping off against tjass and Carson and alot of people was praying on his downfall and he prove everyone wrong
Bumps and pushing happens in the sport it’s for 50k as well as bragging rights. Each team had a lot on the line unfortunately the bump happened at the same time Julian ran behind her and she tripped on his foot. I hope she gets better but come on moving screens will lead to things of that sort I’ve seen it first hand.

I watched that recording over and over again and T jass purposely pushed steph. Julian tripped on her leg as she was going down but julian's leg getting caught with hers wouldn't have caused her to fall it was t jass' fault
I didn’t know who Carson was until today so I thought her height would be helpful but wow….was I wrong. She was the literal reason Julian scored most of his points. SHE DIDNT DO ANYTHINGGGGGGG ON DEFENSEEE
everyone saying Carson played no D has never played any sort of high-level basketball. You say that like it's easy to guard Julian Newman. He is crazy fast with the ball in his hands, and Carson is a big so she's naturally going to be slower than a twitchy guard.
@@codygibbs7841 poor guy, you must’ve typed this without going back to watch and realize that basically every time Newman blew past her, Carson was already near or even UNDER the dam basket. You must not know physics if you think him being fast is a good excuse for her being LAZY ASF. As a big person, all she had to do is leap towards Julian or even towards the basket and she would have already made it to the spot where he started his layup, and boom she would’ve blocked him. There’s this thing called JUMPING FORWARD or…idk try KEEPING YOUR LONG ASS ARMS OUT to even ATTEMPT to guard him, it wouldn’t matter how fast he was if both of them were already near the dam basket. So my friend….try again.
I kinda thought carson would be much better seeing as she played college ball. She has such a significant height advantage over all the girls in this tourney, I figured she'd be doing lots of posting up. Definitely didn't look like a college player. 2 v 2 is different tho.
Word I didn't know who she was, definitely surprised to hear she played college ball. She wasn't aggressive at all, for 50k with her size advantage she shoulda been doing exactly like you said, taking it inside and posting up.. but nah lol
College ball is the worst for hoopers they force you to fit into a system so people with real talent usually defer to the More known/louder voice in the locker rooms
@The Real Red_Hawk3000 Well thats cap. One of the biggest if not the biggest differences between a LeBron James and or Kobe bryant and a micheal jordan from a pure basketball standpoint is college. Mike got that good being in UNC for 3 years and playing on the Olympic team set a foundation of playing with ther players and knowing how to incorporate people's talents in a structure so that way you can play the chess game. Plus she played in college for a women team their game is based purely on fundamentals and thats it with guys its both high fundamentals and high athleticism.
