Here is my quick review of the TKC 70 Rocks rear motorcycle tire. The perspective that I offer is from someone who has spent around 2 years and over 70,000kms travelling across the Americas on my 2020 Honda CB500X. The overwhelming majority of that time has been spent on TKC 80s, which I found offered an unparalleled combination of grip on both pavement and dirt. The main drawback of the TKC 80s being that they don't last very long and are expensive to replace. I have been doing a fair mix of pavement and dirt, but the distances between places mean that there is always going to be a highway ride thrown into the mix (sometimes several days of highway riding in a row), so I was considering swapping out my TKC 80 for something with more longevity. I had a small manufacturing problem with my rear TKC 80 that I purchased in Bogota, Colombia and the wonderful TKC distributor for that region is in Ecuador; they saw the pictures I sent them and offered a replacement. They did not have any 80's, so they offered me a TKC 70 Rocks as a replacement.
The TKC 70 Rocks is a rear-only option that is designed to be slightly more aggressive than the normal TKC 70, while having much better longevity than the TKC 80. I was not unhappy with the tire, but I am not sure that I would buy it again if I was able to choose my own tire. A big thank you to #continentalecuador
