This man has an inspiring story and a fucking crazy one too. Admitting that he was nervewrecked about going to Ranger Batt and then proving to himself that he was ready to join amongst the best is fucking inspiring. Hopefully you can do more podcasts with this man!
Getting out the Marines in a month gonna sign a option 40 contract Im scared shitless, but hearing this really made me more motivated to go. Great channel
Sua Sponte (of our own accord) #RLTW Tabbed or not all Regnars have to go back to (RIP) back then if they leave Batt, and are able or lucky enough to return, RASP (now) to ensure you are good to go. As for quitters he's absolutely correct, quitting is contagious. In addition Group is completely different from being in a Ranger unit. Especially jokes... all you ever hear are Ranger jokes in group, in a Ranger Batt all you hear are Navy Seal & Green Beret jokes.
I’m Air Force and I’m absolutely switching. People on in my unit think I’m nuts. But I don’t care, I’m almost done with my Masters and I’m commissioning.
How long do you need to serve in Ranger Battalion before you can transfer to SF? I know you can join 18xray, but I want to get some experience downrange in the 75th Batt first.
Best bet is starting off with an option-40 contract when you join. Do that contract, and if you still want to transfer to SF, you need to be at least 21 years old at the youngest before you can drop a packet. So first contract option-40, then if 21 or over drop the packet to SFAS.
In the video, you referred to ‘1 term’ after which you were getting shots for pain. What is a term? Is it one enlistment? Or something shorter? Thanks for a great interview.
Special forces only refers to green berets. It is confusing. Special operations refers to Seals, rangers, pj, marsoc, combat controllers, swcc, and green berets. But special forces is only a term for green berets.
