TM Krishna: Raga Nattai 

I can't stop listening to his performances on RU-vid. I have no idea what he's singing/spinning but the music is so complex and layered and beautiful. The musicianship is astonishing. And I will add that even without understanding the context (or even knowing much about Carnatic music), I've been turning to TM Krishna all throughout NYC"s 9 month lockdown because it feels familiar, like something that's been with me for much longer. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, but count me a fan. This guy is crazy talented

Between 8:25-8:30, akkarai played the charanam that comes later in the keerthanam ....but still tmk told it to her very silently that thing ...and did not compromise the sangeetam by stopping....that's the greatness of these musicians

What amazes me is he is criticized for saying lyrics (sahitya) is a deterrent to music reaching the common folk. Yet this is the most clear rendition of the song I have heard. Not a single word one couldn't hear clear 😍

With due Regards to all great musicians, no one has dared to explore the krithi in this way to bring out such an excellent piece. Going in the untrodden path will open new avenues. That is what TMK has done. The so called Bhaani would have denied us this experience. As rightly said Bhaani should contribute to embellishment , otherwise nothing wrong in such explorations. As for as music is concerned there is no violation as long as you stick to the discipline provided to you in the format within which you can have indiscipline to excel and entertain. Mr.TMK my pranams. Madam Subbulakshmi, great job done in your role. God bless you with more such eventd

This is total mathematics here. This guy is sending mathematical series and sequences in air through his vocal cords.

His concert is like a jugalbandi of vocal and violin.. no supiriority to vocalist and violinst .all team are flowing together in to the ocean of ultimate music divinity .

I am surprised by the number of unwanted criticisms...in the list below..when some one is so bold to experiment in front of an audience..why cannot one appreciate it...is it because they cannot do it themselves...!!!...I um unable to understand as to why so many people want to expose and advertise their physiological problems !!! This is simply an excellent..presentation with immense depth..no other words at all.

His singing is both carnatic and divine filled with bhakti in one place. If one is sensitive to the emotions produced by the lyrics and his singing notes they can feel it just like he feels it. That's the unique singing by one and only T M Krishna Sir ❤❤❤🙏

Highest level of bhaava, musicality and musicianship that you will ever see. Exquisite rendition by TMK. It's incredible how he gives space to all his accompanying artistes and they respond so beautifully each time.

TM K can be given BharatRatna only for this rendition....May my universal mother, Adhi Shakthi, Maa Kalaivani..bless him with health, prosperity, more accolades and his generations to be successful. May my beautiful goddess who killed mahishasura safeguard him forever. Irrespective of whether TMK believes in deities or not; whether he loves Periyar or not, whatever ..we respect & bow to his energy, intent and passion for music...

I have heard TMK in concert five times now and each time he has produced sublime music. The man seems to refuse to produce anything pedestrian or mechanical.

such an effortless singer, great voice. the admiration can be seen through the eyes of the girl behind her. He deserves the music academy's accolade and more, what is the problem fellow singers?!

Amazing. Deeply involved. He became so emotional at the sahityam penned by tyagarajaswamy..he has a different style.. excellent gem of a person.

TMK's passion and bhakti is fully evident in the rendition. Soulful singing. Long live the genius. Akkarai as a coartist is sublime. Listener attains full moksha.

TMK renders the kriti packed with bhaava and laya. Great support from Akkarai Subbslakshmi. Great job by FEA. Sublime music. Superb delineation of Nattai.

Holistic romance of voice n violin.. it’s a devine to watch u singing n u allow her enjoy her favourite piece on violin... ur silence in between cos u love particular lines so much that make u go silent for a minute it’s so truthful even being a listener it just makes us go blank.. being a vocalist no wonder u feel it so devine.. u r a blessed singer. I am far blessed cos we listen to this almost everyday now.

This rendition is truly superlative. So much rasa and bhava. The sincerity and meticulousness with which he adorns Raga Nattai with emotion is astounding, truly moved me to tears in parts. Heartfelt gratitude to the musicians and to FEA for bringing alive Thyagaraja's epic Pancharatna Kriti to life with such grace.

I may have ideological disagreements with Krishna but there is no denying that he is a genius

I hope the government recognizes this masters contribution to the tradition of Thyagaraja and confers him the highest honours for rendering ancient Sanskrit Tamil and Telugu compositions and other masterpieces with such purity and devotion. He deserves a Padma Shree by now at the very least for upholding the cultural ethos of India.

I was astonished in yesterday's program . Climate was so adverse,heavy rain, even reaching that place osana mount little interior to pala town was difficult.Again program was an experiment with Gurudeva kritikal.But the participation of the audience in good number till the end of the program and their enjoyment really surprised me.Iam so happy in the progress of your pure music.Kudos to TM KRISHNA.

TM Sir's recitals are always soul piercing!! But his superlative exposition of the Tyagaraja Gem starting with "Omkara" - which is a poetic expression of the trinity (Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu) being as one in "Om" - is "Spiritual Ecstasy"!!
