This is a festival celebrating dance, drama, music, folk art, and crafts organized by Idagunji Mahaganapati Yakshagana Mandali, Keremane (R) at "Yakshaangana," a picturesque art space located in Gunavante beside NH-66, during the winter months (January-February) in Coastal Karnataka.
WHO WAS SHAMBHU HEGDE?
The late Shri Keremane Shambhu Hegde was a distinguished Yakshagana artist, thinker, and dramaturge from the Keremane Artist family, known for enriching the traditional art form of Yakshagana with elements of Indian choreography.
WHAT IS KEREMANE SHAMBHU HEGDE RASHTRIYA NATYOSTAVA?
In honor of national awardee Keremane Shambhu, this festival commemorates a grand cultural event - the “KEREMANE SHAMBHU HEGDE RASHTRIYA NATYOTSAVA” (Keremane Shambhu Hegde Memorial National Performing Arts Festival) - aimed at preserving, popularizing, and fostering awareness of India's rich cultural heritage. This event brings together various art forms from across India, including Yakshagana, Bharatnatyam, Chhau, Gotipua of Orissa, Carnatic and Hindustani Classical Music, Langa Mangniyar of Rajasthan, Kathak, and Carnatic, among others. The festival features a diverse array of cultural programs and discussion sessions with performers held at our premises, utilizing both open-air and closed auditoriums

Music has religion. Carnatic music born and brought up with devotion of many legends. Do you know one peace loving religion think music is haram. Then how can you say music has no religion. T M Krishna is a great musician. But unfortunately he is in nexus with people who are against the Sanathan dharma in which carnatic music immersed.

One of the most prolific composers Thyagaraja elaborates musical knowledge without devotion isnt a good way (sangeetha gnanamu bhakti vina sanmargamu galadhe). This form of music is thus a form mixed with religion like skin and blood

I started to take carnatic classes in October 2019 initially, it was very difficult for me too set my mind and practice.. later slowly I was going through carnatic performance's in RU-vid and I found this video in 2019 December.. spine chilled at first hear, later I got hooked and it transcend into subconscious state of mind with bhakti, later learning carnatic music was blissfulness.. all because of this person's rendition... Legend 🙏

At 5:04 in the rendition, Mr. Krishna sings "Lakshmi Kantam ..." and synthesizes the essence of Sindhubairavi raga in the sweetest way possible for any human being. His husky, sweet voice is reminiscent of late Mr.Maharaajapuram Santanam. Phenomenal experience of melodious carnatic music.

In " Thimbuiru naradha ganavilolam" Naradha descends on the stage. Again in "Mahara kundal adhara madhana Gopalam" Lord Venkatesan appears before us. That is exactly the beauty of the keerthi and of it's rendering by the arist ! New, new sangathies emerge whenever I listen again and again.

Concert is a beautiful blend of the sound of music from vocals to instruments to rhythm. See how the mridanga artist follows the song. He knows the song and its nuances and gives the appropriate rhythm. The tempo varies with the emotion conveyed. The violinist plays alternate seconds and octaves to give a enchanting blend of chords. Tm krishna has developed this cult of taking his vidwans with him. May god bless him. In many concerts artists try to display their talents and the music is subdued. No need. If music is pure and blended talents come out naturally. Great example.
