It’s Friday night. I’m supposed to be out in the world meeting people discovering mysteries and yet I’m at home watching masterful eggmaking from other countries. Cheers world!
"Hi, I'd like to order a 16 egg omelette." "What'd you like on it, Sir?" "Eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs, no onions, no spinach, but extra eggs." "Very good, Sir."
I always just thought it was so charming that Asian countries cook with chopsticks until I tried it- wow, you have such a finer touch with your food and so much more control over it. It’s a game changer! 🙌🏼
Same here, always found it charming! Your comment is motivating me to learn how to use chopsticks. I'd like to try cooking with them one day. Looks fun too
Ivegotwormsinme well boy howdy that sure is sweet! Thank you! It is all about living in the moment, heart, and imagination! People like me exist only when there are people like you who are willing to accept kindness! Blessings of love abound! ♥️
Just bought one of these pans. I won't attempt this Master's heights, but I made a couple with three eggs each and it was surprisingly easy (I used a spatula to turn) and fun. Egg streudel! I'm gonna start adding (finely chopped) omelette fixings to the egg mixture. But even with just with a little soy sauce, sweet vinegar, and S&P they're really good.
This is amazing to watch and to listen to. I felt strangely relaxed from the sounds of the frying pan and making of the tamagoyaki bread here. The finished product also looks quite lovely.
Amal Faraj....not sleepy, just hungry. I can smell the roast pork cooking at the Chinese restaurant around the corner. It drives me crazy, every Wednesday night. They cook late, so I can't even order some until tomorrow, but then I will have forgotten and will have coffee and toast in the morning.
No, not at all, but if one spends long time in the kitchen, he can easily loose focus or grows impatient . The person ( the cook in the video) does this daily for hours and hours .
I tried making one today. The best I could do was four layers with a wooden spatula, and I still had some brown spots and tearing in some places 😭. I didn't even think of throwing the pan to help fold it. What I notice is the chef lightly scrambled the first batch so it has some structure and won't fall apart when rolling it. I'll definitely try it out later.
I thought I’d get bored but somehow I didn’t. And now I really want a torta, which is what my grandma called a circular omelette she’d make for us. That’s not what a torta actually is. A torta is a sandwich, but the omelettes were round so she just went ahead and called them that anyway. Yes I highly want a torta with chocolate milk on the side. Love and miss you abuelita. Wait, was I talking about? Oh yeah! This was a beautiful egg making video. Thank you.
In fairness he did made *six* omelettes, and each one *feeds 5-6 people.* You try making 30-36 omelettes in just over 10 minutes... I think you'll find his method is actually pretty fast...
As joyful and mouthwatering as it is to watch it from the start, it's at about 10:55 onwards when it's in the bun, that you really feel the love of the whole thing.
I'm studying how to make the perfect tamagoyaki. After many years of research and studying I finally now how the make a winner tamagoyaki. But... it's not perfect.. but I will keep trying to perfect it .. and when I do I will finally accomplish all my goals. The ingredients are.. •Eggs (4) •Milk (1 ts) •soya sause (1 ts) •Sugar (1 ts) Directions •Mix like in anime •Mix •More mixing •And more •warm that thing that's outside on top of the oven •put a little bit of oil on your pan (u can use round to but square is best for tamagoyaki) •spread with paper •Pour forth of the mixture (30.3333333325% out of 100% of the mixture) •wait for 25 seconds •Mix it carefully so the egg doesn't burn but not to much . Like shown in video •use chopsticks to see if it's ready (Tip look around the sides if it's half cooked then it's done) •Fold it carefully (u will fold it 3 or 4 times ) •carefully fold again •move to top •add oil and spread with paper on the pan •add the second part of the mixture and repeat ( This is Gray For more information click on www.tamagoyakiofficial.com I'd be happy to help u make your tamagoyaki! So we are not gonna call out the fact that this man clearly has built in oven mitts?!!! He wasn’t phased when he took those eggs out and put them in the bamboo thingys.
I guess alot of cooks can do this. Your hands get burnt so many times that the nerves get burnt off and u can't feel it anymore... I've seen Gordon Ramsay take pans fresh out the oven with his bare hands like a madman
My fingertips have slight callouses on them from all the little (and not-so-little) burns I've suffered them through over the years. You do just get used to it after a while
We use to do one at a time in a restaurant I worked in, it was part of our Japanese breakfast we offered. That was hard enough and we had strict instruction around colour and layering. Ours was cut thin and served with slices of grilled thin cut salmon and rice. So tasty.
Wonderful culture, wonderful food, we were going to spend a couple of years there but after FukUshima happened & is still going on with no end in sight we opted out of one of our greatest bucket list dreams. Glad we had numerous trips prior to.....LOVE LOVE LOVE Japan & her people, Sending all love & thanks to you!
Has anyone ever realized how neat the Japanese Street vendors have many neat gadgets to cook these wonderful food dishes. Has anyone ever done a documentary about making each of these gadgets? I think that it would be fascinating.
Nancy Tomlinson like what gadgets? The square pan? The paper towel soaked in oil? The chopsticks? The bamboo rolling mat? Edit: ah so the oil soaked paper towel is to ensure the omelette doesn’t taste like oil.
I was terrified that each of those was for a single sandwich, but was relieved at the final result being a smaller portion. Even as an American, I can only eat maybe three eggs at a time. looks heavenly in any case, so light and fluffy!
Looks great 👍 That's how I make mine. A little milk, or water and they fluff right up. However, I put in some other "stuff" usually. Like onions 🌺, maybe bell pepper, bacon, tomatoes, etc. Cured jowl bacon is the BOMB 💥 Love from Kentucky ❤️💕
@Vicki Chittum , most of them will be cut to small pieces and goes with bun or sandwich , anyway, many people don’t like it, there are 4 thousands thumb downs
@@guerra_dos_bichos HahaThat'sa lie, but what isn't is that he added uncooked eggs every few minutes. Some lik them raw, I like mine moist but cooked! BTW... Medium rare! Powerful name... if you're Puerto Rican.
This technique is like a Chef Ramsey venture!! I saw another video where the layers were thinner and the egg was rolled into the loaf pattern. But I would buy this just because I am not that type of cook!! 😀
