For Drag Race this season, they gave the queens 75k all together to compete... allegedly. 50k for appearance, and 25k for looks and costumes.

I do love that in this one episode, we've had 3 prior twists brought up from Drag Race: the jury twist (All Stars 3), the non-elimination format (which was first done on All Stars 7, the all winners season), & the Fame Games (All Stars 8, where the eliminated girls did get to show their runway packages).

drag race did a jury format for All Stars 3, and it was poorly received (Trixie won instead of Shangela) and I think the producers want a lot more control than that for storylines, editing, etc.

I actually watched the last part of the reunion even though I do not watch this show because I'm sadly aware of all the storylines and these stupid people, but also because I knew this episode of TMGR would be AMAZING! 🙌

Grace and mamrey listen to race chaser Willam and Alaska know a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. There's been a charity season before. There hearts are in it because most of this season wouldn't have done all stars otherwise. Also production knew about the libaraches that was storyline.

I don't know if you saw All Stars 7, which is why you made the comment - but that was an All Winners, 8 queens, no one went home season. But it worked so well because the caliber of talent had already been established prior to the season with each of those queens winning their seasons. Side note: I agree that Gottmik's runways are amazing, but it's Plastique for me who I look forward to every week because she is KILLING it

Honestly, the way the producers blindsided Ari was fucking AWFUL. At this point, the only ones I do not FF right past are Ari, Katie, James and Ally. Truly a disgusting "gotcha" on production's part, probably in retaliation due to her walking out in the finale. Left SUCH a bad taste in my mouth that I cannot get over. And do NOT get me started on BlaBla.

Just a friendly PSA: Gottmik uses she/her pronouns in drag and he/him out of drag the same way cis men queens do. Please don't use they, he has repeatedly and explicitly asked the public not to use they/them for him in or out of drag. ❤❤ loving the reality show recaps tho!!
