The “shuffling” of Oline & QB as Alejandro explained… these are symptoms of a coaching staff who is completely clueless about how to fix their offense. They’re just throwing pasta against the wall to see what sticks. No intentional planning, no identity.
Whoooaaaa. Wait a minute now. I bet you were all giddy after the last 3 regular season games of 2023. Like most of your dumbass fanbase, yall thought Cry Moore was soooooo great for standing on the sideline in place of Harbaugh. Now its "Why did Manuel hire him"? Just admit that your entire program sold your soles. Now youre reaping all the bad karma. Now bask in it!!!! 😂😂😂
Moore hasn’t shown anything as actual HC that he’s a good HC. He’s responsible for not evaluating his QB room during offseason and hitting the portal. Worst offense in college football! Campbell is atrocious. Changes in staff need to happen in 2024! -Not 2025!
But when some questioned Moore being ready, we were insulted and told we don’t know ball? Playing HC 4 hours a week is not the same as going solo. Moore is AWFUL. The offense is painful to watch. But I was told how stupid I was for questioning the hire. Wink is not much better. This is a bad team with a bad staff.
Fire the whole staff man. They are completely wasting some of the most talented players in the country, and what’s worse is the team is actually regressing. The coaches just lost the locker room with this one. We will be lucky to make a bowl game at 6-6 at this point
@@razor7241 Michigan has potentially 4 first round picks my guy idk what you would call that. And I never really wanted to move away from Orji but Campbell won’t adjust the system for his abilities so he struggles but at least protects the ball. Orji needs be played in a spread option style and they keep sending him out to run pro style. It’s moronic.
@@razor7241 no, it’s a part of the problem. The coaching is a bigger problem. This team is the most undisciplined, dumb Michigan team I’ve seen in years.
That's a ridiculous take 🙄. We've certainly recruited better than Illinois and Washington. The offense is complete garbage. Worst QB play in the country .
@jonpierce2137 I agree with you, but it may be on our QBS coach that Warren kids got an excellent arm. It just seems like he's making mistakes that should've been coached out. Same with Orji, who has been coaching him 🤔 .we were to believe he'd be the guy. I'm just disgusted with the coaching.
Good God this offense is lost ! The play calling is a joke I realize this offense is young but you work with what you have.. but we keep trying to shove a square peg into a round hole !! No excuse for this mess and accepting the blame and repeating this is unacceptable after every loss and then putting the same mess out on the field the following week is a joke.! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result ... Absolutely embarrassing !
Your problem is not coaching. You don’t have ANY player that is any good to actually put at QB! And your defense is no where as good as last year. Just face facts. Michigan will be lucky to win 2 more games this year. And good luck after the NCAA comes down with their sanctions for the Connor Stallions debacle. Harbaugh left the sinking ship (after he sank it)!
@jagarcia528 I don't know about you, but late in the game, we drove down the field, and we're first and goal. I said to myself, just run the ball. we have to score here, and we got 4 downs to get it done. The very first play after that was an interception . What are we doing????
Manuel had NOTHING to do with the decision on how much he would be paid and the language in his contract. That ALWAYS comes from much higher up in the food chain. The AD NEVER makes those decisions. ALL those actually y knowledgeable knows this
Poor coaching. Horrible offensive playcalling. The players are in part to blame for not excecuting, BUT the coaches are NOT putting the right players in right situations to succeed.
Donovan Edwards should really be just a water boy. He's not a running back and he's definitely not a wide receiver. He falls over at the very first touch he gets hit. I've never seen him break a tackle. The only big runs he has is when he's untouched
Before everyone here blames Sherrone Moore for ALL the offensive problems we have, you better ask yourself how did Michigan get in this situation? Anyone know why that we had NO quarterbacks commit’s behind JJ(besides Jadyn Davis)?? Because Harbaugh flirted with the NFL the last 3 years and he couldn’t land any QB commits! We should have a plethora of QB’s waiting to play but we don’t! So far since Sherrone has been the HC, he has landed 2 Four Star QB’s. But NOT getting a QB in the Transfer Portal was a mistake! I think Sherrone and his staff thought that Jack Tuttle, Davis Warren and Alex Orji would suffice and that has killed us! This QB room is decimated! And this is what we have got! So I don’t believe it’s 100% Sherrone’s fault. Firing everyone would do no good. Commits would leave and you would set yourself back 3-4 years. This year is gonna be what it is…..
They’re going to leave if they stay, this is an incompetent coaching staff. Outcoached every game. No good player is going to want to commit to a program whose coaching staff is clueless.
The recruiting class will likely fall apart. Kids need to see something on the field to come be part of. Who wants to play in this awful offense? Seriously, it is painful to watch them. I would expect some hit the portal as well. I knew there would be a step back this year but not this bad. Damn.
@@daves4589 Tape don’t lie. This Michigan football team has become the college football version of the Washington generals. Outcoached, outsmarted, undisciplined.
We don't know that cuz Warde didn't do $hit. 15/ year as long as you want it, you won't be fired for what ncaa loa said.... that should have been ready to go 1 hour after Lakers for much read the draft. Nope. Where is the running game? Why not using Edwards wr skills sometimes???? Cmon!@foxbodyblues6709
@@foxbodyblues6709 That is one opinion. Most people close to Jeem say he wanted to stay just as long as the school protected him. Warde initially said no but when jeem did not sign and the time was geting short, Warde gave Jeem everything he wanted. At that point it was too late. Jeem already agreed to the Chargers. So Warde needs to be fired.
Especially our QB and WR play. Same could be said in our secondary. Sometimes those dudes look flat out lost out there. Bas thing is it doesn't look to be getting better over the season.
A horrid Purdue team put up 49 points and over 500 yards against that crappy ass Illinois defense just last week. How is it we can only score 7 points? My god, what would Purdue do to us?
Not a fan of you guys, but Purdue will neither blow you guys out nor even win in my opinion. I think that is highly unlikely. Adjustments will be made and improvement will come. I think the games against Oregon, OSU and Indiana could be hard though.
He most definitely is. If that’s what he wants his michigan legacy to be, then so be it. Great talent but not a leader. Same goes for the rest of the guys who started and played significant snaps last year during the title run. They should all feel like they failed to uphold the standard that was set by the leaders before them.
Several of those defensive studs were looking around in the portal in off-season .. Through the agent community. Bet they all wish they would have left because they would have got paid and been playing for winners.
It used to be you had to earn the right to wear #1 by being the best WR. Walker has done nothing to earn that right. The only player that deserves to wear #1 is colston Loveland
Correct the first play of the game was a horrible route by walker. Stevie wonder would have seen he obviously was not running an out route. You have to sell that your running an out route for a double move to work.
@@wkareem69ifyhe won his games he played out. He got yanked after 3 drives and it wasn’t even his fault. Had a couple passes batted down but they didn’t give him a fair shot in that game. They didn’t call plays to his strengths and let Tuttle play as horrible as he did without a thought of pulling him. It took 6 interceptions for them to pull Warren. It’s just frustrating to not see him given the same opportunity as those two because with him the running game was at least way better. We aren’t having a good passing game no matter what so use the best option to strengthen the rushing attack
I like Moore, however he has shown incapable of running ANY D1 program let alone Michigan. I'm kind of pissed at Harbaugh pushed Moore when it was Minter that should have been the HC, you keep your STUD DC and let him find an OC that isn't INEPT and can change the offense to the players.
When the basketball team was becoming a dumpster fire, they saw it and dumped Howard and the fix is on. This coaching staff is turning football on its way to a dumpster fire, the quarterback situation is embarrassing. I would support a whole change of coaching staff. I thought I was going to like Moore, but he’s clueless
Agreed. Davis should get playing time in at least three of the last four games to evaluate for next season and if a transfer portal QB is needed to start as insurance. This is a rebuilding year for the offense, especially for the OL.
Michigan will be fortunate to finish 6-6. They are hapless on offense and the defense is dying game by game. Season is over. A matter of time until a complete coaching staff overhaul. I love coach Moore as a person but he is in Waaaay over his head!!
Seeing what Michigan players enter the portal and seeing what Michigan is willing to spend to get the best QB and other players of need from the portal will tell the story of what Michigan is willing to do to build a competitive roster. It will cost more than Ohio State spent last year.
I have been watching MICHIGAN football simce 1985 and this is the worst offense i have ever seen. And its not even close. Its on the HC. Period. Sherrone is in over his head. You can see hes not making the hard decisions. The O.C should be demoted or fired. The players need to be held accountable. All these turnovers are ridiculous. Im not one usually for firing a coach after one yr but its blatantly obvious he wont get this team back and before long recruits will be jumping ship.
None of the other issues are major issues if the QB play is competent. This is the difference a world class QB and HC combo brings, go from Natty to 6-6. Our inability to take NIL and modern recruiting seriously is costing us where it matters most.
But at least the RR teams were entertaining to watch because they could light up the scoreboard while their defense also got lit up. This is the worst offense I’ve ever seen wearing maize and blue.
Well Tuttle threw for 200 yards. How did that work out. Orji wasn’t losing games like Warren and Tuttle. If you can’t protect the ball as a QB, your team is going to lose more times than not.
@@blankname6629 He wasn't moving the offense vs Washington and we got behind. That's different than negative plays (ints, fumbles, sacks) directly leading to short fields for the opposing offense that the defense can't always bail us out of. Not moving the ball and not scoring is bad.. But turning the ball over which leads to points for the other team is worse...
To be honest we MIGHT, MIGHT beat beat MSU, but forget beating Oregon, Indiana and OSU and the only way to stop this bleeding is to CLEAN HOUSE or we will stink for years. Moore is NOT head coach ( he just inherited the position) and Wink should be fired too. If we wait, we will be in DEEP TROUBLE. We had a GREAT STAFF last year but they're gone and these guy's aren't coaching ANYBODY UP!
@@donutfitness6324 Not saying he was never inured but did it take him 7 years to recover from surgery? Dude is soft, period. Not a football player. Just a guy who sometimes throws footballs.
I feel so much better now that I see the comments below and know there are brothers (& sisters) that shared the same feeling as me. Yes, someone has to be on the chopping board! We shall overcome!
I think Michigan and Warde were cornered into a feel-good HC hire to pander to the players and they'll be stuck for a few years with coaches that don't know how to run a competent CFB program. The powers that be are too arrogant to make a change. We'll have to hear all the platitudes about getting better which will be ad nauseam. Wink is a has-been the NFL didn't want who gets too cute with exotic blitzes. Campbell is a never-was that Old Dominion didn't want. Poor technique. Poor game plan. Poor NIL. Cowering to the NCAA. Thank God for last year because you can see the new trajectory of the program without Harbaugh.
So true, the platitudes "we just need to get better" are very difficult to listen to, and they don't mean a thing. There will be many more losses this season and beyond before Sherrone gains significant Head Coaching experience. Michigan did not think this through.
Because of winning the natty people forget we groaned about Moore and Campbell's offense last year. They didn't let JJ loose to throw deep, didn't utilize Edwards in the pass game. We had a 1st RD QB, arguably the best Mich RB of all time, and an A+ defense with savants at safety to erase nearly all the issues, but they still made offense look harder than it should have.
SO TRUE, this year's D is spending A LOT more time on the field compared to the past 3 years, due to the failures of the offense. By the 4th quarter they're really tired and can't make important stops
Warde Manuel allowing Ben Herbert to leave was unacceptable. Substantial loss. Losing to inferior talent. Attitude, focus and effort have been consistently poor. Again - No Ben Herbert.
@@alanouye5355 Ben Herbert was their strength & conditioning coach (2018-2023) If you find time, watch some of his training videos from the past handful of years. He built the men behind the playbook.
Man, it's depressing to fall off this hard after finally reaching the mountaintop. I don't completely blame sherrone because our previous coach really did not set him up well when he left. I have to blame the past coach while also praising and being thankful for him at the same time. We got our Natty and I didn't expect that 3 years ago. I think this is going to get worse before it gets better and hopefully they can rebuild soon
Is it that no one is getting open, or are the QB’s that bad? I wish I could be at the game (or get the All 22 view) so I could see what is happening down field while Tuttle is patting the ball.
I think it’s both. WRs are not good and don’t get a lot of separation but Tuttle is clearly missing guys. He missed a wide open Loveland in the 1at half for a TD and under threw Loveland at the goal line for another score.
This season was lost when Dante Moore and Lloyd Carr's grandson decided elsewhere. This left the QB room in the worst spot possible for a team that's still incredibly talented. Idk what the recruiting pitch is for QBs but that needs to change asap. Those two in state losses are the reason why this season is what it is.
Bottom line: If Tuttle and Warren aren't gonna protect the ball, nor eclipse a hundred yards passing in any game; then you're better off putting in Orji and getting back to grinding it down the opposing defenses throat like an Academy school. That would keep the opposing offense on the sidelines, and give your defense a much needed rest. It worked against USC and Minnesota until it almost didn't. But what other choice do they have?
We've seen enough for me to say it. Sherrone is way over his head and it shows. The team is undisciplined and sloppy. The talent on this team is far too high for this sad performance week after week. This team will lose at least 3 more games
Trying to figure out why Walker on the very first play just watch the ball fall short and he never made any effort to come back to the ball and he was looking right at it
The coach has to go. He cannot find anything in the portal at this point. Why would players in the portal join such a team? What’s in it for them except poor coaching?
Juwan was always too proud to seriously change his approach, and he still didn’t even after it was too late. Moore has time, but he’s gotta get things figured out fast, and have the courage to change things that aren’t working
I’d rather put Davis Warren back in. His turnovers were bc he forced an unnecessary throw instead of taking a sack or throwing it away. Jack isn’t seeing the defense. Really thought he’d play better this year. I still don’t understand why Kirk can’t see they’re a run first team! Michigans best three drives were set up off the run and PA. If you give Warren a run game, he would hit those receivers off the PA.
@@AP-to3hz I agree. If Warren doesn’t try to force passes under duress he’s a better option than Tuttle. Even Orji is a better option as long as he doesn’t turn the ball over.
Sam said it. Illinois planned for it and got it. Michigan has demonstrated it can no longer plan for anything. There will be many more losses to Illinois and other teams over the next few years before Sherrone gains any significant Head Coaching experience.
