Lars Alexadnerson is my favorite because he's the ultimate weeb. Is Swedish but speaks only in perfect Japanese, friends with Naruto and Noctis, and he has a real doll robot gf
@@beastkidsgamershow368 Nothing regarding his preference, Lee though had unique interludes with Anna in Tekken 5, in the non canon 90s anime slept with Anna and dated both Nina and her He is the gentleman flamboyant dude type character, with T8 making him tony stark, imo he is into females
Yoshi players are really eating good with this game, from his design and voice to his gameplay additions and his rage art to his ending. I just wish he would've also had a little tekken force section at the big battle because him just randomly disappearing didn't really fit his character imo
Tekken 8’s ending were a mixed bag IMO. There were some good endings, some bad endings but a majority fall somewhere in the middle I’d say. They are overall a huge improvement over 7’s ending though (although that wasn’t exactly a high bar).
For me the main culprit is that they feel like they're just continuing the status-quo but on a higher budget this time around. Take Bryan, Yoshi and Asuka for example. They've had the exact same ending with slight variations for 4 games straight now. So they're not substantial while also losing some entertainment value due to repetition.
It would take like thousands of megatons of tnt atleast to kill him, probably a few thou Thats how strong he is. Even Jack 6 has a feat on the hundreds of tnt along with other characters. Lars can take that
Mainman felt pissed off by reina ending? Now you know how Law mains felt since tekken 5. The biggest video game homage to Bruce Lee getting disrespected like that is crazy
1:39 at least he took the time to play through every single characters campaign, record it all and edit it. I don't mind him plugging his channel considering the effort that it took, even if it's not that much.
I think they don't have the rights to reuse it or something, but I could be wrong. it's the same reason why they don't have Snoop Dogg's/Lion's theme for his stage in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
A lot songs are missing and have been since Tekken 7, another 2 are The Head Shaker and AS BALD AS (Heihachi and Yoshis Tekken 2 songs), i think i remember reading it's a sample issue with both of those songs, really sucks tho
the stage itself was removed form the PS3 version of Dark Resurrection. due to connotations of the name Ground Zero with 9/11. in spite of Tekken 5 coming out 3 years after 9/11 happened.
The Shaheen ending is such a spirited attempt at convincing us that he isn't boring af character-wise lol (not mad at it. Shaheen is a fun character to play. More ppl should give him a chance).
Not that i'm expecting Tolkien's level of character writing, but people responsible for assasinating Asuka, deserve a month of ranked against Xiaoyu mains.
A month of ranked against Yoshi mains will be better punishment. Cause most of low level Xiaoyu are trash and no threat at all while Yoshi is annoying on any level of play. Ling is OP only because of her mainers skill.
These endings are hit or miss. Some I really did like but they really need to re-hire whoever was directing the endings pre-Tekken 6. Like thinking back to T3-T5 era makes me sad. I really wish they would have used Yoshi's sword as a way to connect to Soul Edge.
Why do folks hate Lars so much? I was big into Tekken 1-4 and fell off, then got back into 7 about 5 years ago. So I never played 5-6 and just watched recaps on RU-vid/read the wiki to catch up, so maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get why the intense hate. Like yeah, the hairs a little extra, but it doesn't seem THAT bad
Maybe because he was too strong in T6. If someone hate him for the rest, it’s just stupid. Lars is a great character, with solid personality and moveset, and - like it or not - his is the best written story of the series.
On the topic of tmm talking down on channels like gamers little playground, i find that pretty hypocritical of someone doing react content. All you did was record yourself watching his video and upload it. Theres a lot of people that want to see the story of a game without having to buy and play it themselves, so channels like these capitalize off that audience. And you could argue editing those cutscenes together requires more effort than what you put into your videos. I was drawn to your channel because im loving tekken 8 and enjoy learning from more advanced players, but acting like a pompous douche is a good way to drive people away
He would absolutely be the chill guy that you ask for some help painting a mini, you go to the bathroom, and when you get back it has perfect shading and is completely painted and dry. The most you'll get from him is a grunt.
How could you hate on Zafina's ending!? Honestly it is how things were suppose to work out for her and Claudio in the main story to me but instead they nerfed both of them mainly Zafina to job out to Kazuya and make way for Reina to be pushed hard. It also ties up with Zafina's orb intro to Claudio in Tekken 7 where she addresses him "You possess the power to destroy the Devil!" Claudio fulflls the prophecy here. They literally did nothing with that angle to work within in the main story like they could and should have. This kind of makes up for that a bit to me. It makes Zafina and Claudio look strong and in control working together and kind of leaves a curious outlook for her future there a bit with her last words as she looks to the sky releasing the last remnants of the Devil/Azazel energy from her left arm. I thought it was done well for what it was.
They didnt nerf them, thats how they should fare. The problem is that Reina was pushed too hard even though she is annoying af and seriously damaged the Tekken story.
Honest response to your points is simply that it was generic for her. No interesting epilogue, no character development, she ends the devil gene, that's it. Accomplishing a goal is not necessarily satisfying from a storytelling perspective. As a Yoshi main, the idea of Possessed Yoshi moving forward has massive implications. Love Zafina, but that ending was dull af
@@newhybrid101True but in Zafina's case they def wrote her to be alot weaker for the sake of Reina being pushed. Unlike Claudio they gave her no opportunity to directly confront Kazuya in a battle displaying her use of Azazel powers a bit or have any meaningful dialogue between them to build more suspense before he got upperhand on her to acquire Azazel spirit. Claudio at least got a chance at an all out attack on Kazuya but she got nothing to show she wasnt a push over in that respect.
@@terrynieuwoudt8586To each their own thats your opinion as a Yoshi main but yeah it could have been more there. I'm glad they gave her a halfway decent ending outside of that bad writing of her in the main story. If they made no attempt to do her justice there why did you think they would make it all that deep in her ending? I'm glad your character got a decent well fleshed out ending but as a Zafina main it works ok for me so I can appreciate it for what it is better than you can.
47:57 Lili's ending had me in tears. Law just shows up out of nowhere, calls out Lili for no freaking reason and then immediately dies, this is so dumb my stomach hurt😂
1:00:34 - I hate doing this on every video where there's french characters, but these subtitles just suck, man. She's not saying "I can hardly believe they targeted me from such a distance.", she says "I can't believe they would target me here." which doesn't translate at all to what the english subtitle says. "Je ne pensais quand même pas être prise pour cible ici." refers to your current location, I.E. the town they're in. This would make Lili aware that people want her dead and she's had to deal with that before. Better character development than being surprised at being targeted from such a distance.
1:01:01 - "Que dirais-tu de prolonger ton travail de garde du corps à nos côtés?" this does not translate to what's on screen. It means "How would you like to have your work as a bodyguard extended?" nothing about indefinitely and what she says wouldn't mean "indefinitely". 1:02:19 - I couldn't hear because of Mainman speaking, but what I got was: "Il faudrait avoir un crâne aussi épais que celui d'Asuka pour me protéger." "You'd have to have a skull as thick as Asuka's to be able to protect me." The subtitle I don't think is necessarily wrong there, but again it's literally not what she says in the game.
1:06:25 - Victor starts with "Et d'un", then goes with "et un autre", then just says "thanks" (not "good work soldier"), followed with "et encore un", then "c'est le dernier". In order, he says "There's one, and another... thanks -- and another one. That's the last one." Not "one two three". The rest is more or less accurate.
it's not only for french that this happens brother pretty much all of these subtitles for other languages are bad. i think it's an issue at the studio that translates the game.
Tekken 8 endings surprisingly doubled down on the wacky tropes of nearly every character. Compare the narrator of Tekken 4-5 to this Character Episode guy, the background music and everything. This particular game isn't taking itself seriously (outside of story mode) in the least and I'll be surprised if TMM gives them the benefit of the doubt because he's usually quick to shut all of that down. There's hardly any interesting progression yet again, and hopefully most of the fans are done with the honeymoon phase to realize this. Thought Tekken 8 was all about breaking chains, but guess I was wrong. My eyes were rolling throughout most of these... Is it too much to ask for Tekken to feel predominantly *COOL* again?
Yoshimitsu's ending sucks & this comes from a Yoshi main. His rivalry with Bryan hasn't changed since Tekken 5 (which was 20 years ago, making this rivalry more static than Asuka vs Lili) so I have no reason to care about them because they won't take this story to any kind of conclusion. Remember before Tekken 6 came out & you didn't know who was going to be in the game &, as it turned out, they both made it? You know for sure that there's no chance that Bryan won't be in Tekken 9 because Yoshi has killed Bryan in 2 of his endings & still came back which proves that they won't kill off characters unless they dedicate the whole story mode to them, making this ending completely pointless & meaningless, they've done nothing to add to his character. Also, Yoshimitsu can outrun a minigun in his T5 ending but he just waits for a grenade to blow up in his face here? And where did Bryan get that steel beam from?
Some of the translations for this game is a bit off. Especially the story mode’s translation is not accurate. I watched the story mode videos with different subtitles and the Korean subtitles is one of the most accurate translations in the game.
Fun fact the subtitles for the series have always been bad. The most egregious example for me is Devil Jin's winqoute "Fear the Wrath of God," which actually says, "I Will Show the Meaning of Fear." At least that one got improved to "Fear My Wrath"
I stop at DVJ ending of his reaction, dude just bored out his mind and doesn't understand why that ending happen SMH 😒when your friends & family are all dead by the UN that act like they don't want to mess with you..but lied and you have a Devil power within you as well, your gonna snap..2/10 just stick to online TMM 🤦♂️
Dragunovs ending was arguably the best. It's not just that he builds models, but the thought is it's more or less the complete opposite of something I would expect. I did a customization based off his ending as well with pink tac gear and the mini Mokujin.
is it just me or does anyone else hate this bright filter the endings have Nina and Asuka's especially. they also do this filter in the rage arts and its so bad looking i hate it
For Law's ending, it's more like, "The bastard was drowning in debt for so long, and then he finally escaped it by winning the Mishima Zaibatsu. When even that couldn't save him from bad luck and poverty, what else was left for him?" It's like when Randy Orton swore he killed the Undertaker only to get destroyed at Wrestlemania.
I got the vibe that the blanket in Jun's ending was to show that Kazuya at bare minimum still cared to not see her uncomfortable. Whether or not he's in the tent or left is purposefully unclear. I imagine that in T9 we'll find Kazuya finding his own sort of balance (not a redemption arc by any means, that would ruin him), but a way for him to carve his own path without his devil powers.
I don't know what's funnier part in the Azucena's ending, the surprise of several with Lili's comment about cultural appropriation or that in the online chat, someone named "Rushhourz" believed that Lili was calling Azucena woke 10:41. It's so funny how people got so confused at that part 🤣🤣🤣
There's no reason for King to throw he's trying to influence Steve to become his rival(cause that's all king has been doing since Tekken 5 just gaining rivals)
1:39 yea he played all characters unlocked their endings something mainman did not do, then he edited them all together another thing mainman wouldn't do, never edits anything.
Honestly I expected them to be waaaay different, most of them are goofy and not so much related to the story at all. Take Reina for example, when I did her story quest i expected that we get an insight on her upbringing / why she idolizes Hei Hachi, where is she from or what she's planning after the story of the game ends (those who know, know) but instead we got some weird ass delusioned story that could be summarized up as a fever dream. Some of them were funny / wholesome but hardly any of them did the main story a favor and while Tekken was never known for having a too interesting/deep story these short ending would've been an insanely good opportunity to turn that around and give us something more comprehensive and you could totally keep wholesome ones in but for some it made 0 sense.
53:50 Paul ending makes no fucking sense. You fight character battles to unlock his ending to realize he was late for the tournament? Even though the tournament isn't in just one place?!?!
It's funny really, because if we literally swap Reina with Heihachi in this whole sequence, he would've been much more okay -- if not love it instead of despising it. lol If we think of Reina as Heihachi's incarnate, then it should fit super well.
30 years of Kazuya being a badass and I am forced to see him bowing to some little girl cringe character they pulled out of nowhere for tekken 8. Reina is so lame.
Pretty much par for the course, Tekken has always had good and awful endings. I miss the days of when the ending didn't have narrative and you had to figure out how they applied to the character. This is why T3 was soo great. The ending weren't some amazing story arch, the gameplay was the focus.
