It was nice to hear your thoughts on some of these characters. I might do a separate video explaining these characters strengths or weaknesses like Asuka or Miguel and how they do in competitions.
100 years later Arslan responds to TMM responds to his tier list video to Arslan tier list by TMM's video of response to his response of Tier list's video
ofc he would do it, since it will get views. but to be fair to TMM, arslan did question several times what TMM said, so I did want TMM to respond. haven't seen this video yet, so i don't know if he does.
One of the reasons why Arslan is hesitent in putting Alisa in S imo is that he was once talking about her lows not being on the S-tier level. Arslan values characters with good lows very high, hence Akuma S+, and that is the reason why he has has expressly told in his stream why Asuka is not above B...because her lows suck.
@@artguy7992 Well if you look at her pokes from a damage point of view, sure. Put her lows aren't the main crux of the game. Her jab, 1,1 and df1 pressure is enough to shut down opponents. db3 is a very fast -12 low that forces crouch and gives +frames. It doesn't have a lot of range but with df1 and jab pressure you can sneak em in. Also her generic lows, d3 and d4 are much better than other generic lows and then there is db4. her db2 string though reactable, creates a mini mixup...Even knee had eaten that string from Arslan. The fact is that Alisa's low doesn't allow her to create the kind of sustained poke pressure like Kazumi can with her other lows. But...Alisa has many other things due to which she Raises upto the A-A+ category alongside Kazumi. Plus I never said Alisa has bad lows, just that her lows aren't the best. Lars, Asuka, Armor King...now these are the bad low characters.
If anything, it's really awesome to have two people outwardly state that they respect each other's stuff, even if they sometimes have different opinions. It's pretty notable considering all the hate and disrespect on the internet.
28 : 09 that's exactly what I said on his video like why he put howrang in the same tier as lars when hes clearly stronger then him and someone said "well he got beat by lars" that doesn't change the fact that howrang has better tools/frames then lars
9:49 Nina is kinda the same. With his sidestep 1 cancel (or whatever I don't play Nina) I saw that you can be + 10 to +15 something like that. It's the same thing that a taunt jet upper, theorically op but impossible in practice
It would be hillarious if Arslan reacts to this video aswell and then TMM makes yet another response. Imagine the title lmao xD TMM responds to Arslans response to TMM's response.
I haven't played T7 in months but isn't Akuma relatively easier for someone who is coming from the Street Fighter side of things. Isn't a lot of his command list similar to his movelist from street fighter, just adapted for the 3D fighting engine of Tekken? I didn't play Akuma much in T7, I was mostly playing Armor King, and Lee. I'm not good at Tekken by any means, I'm way better at Street Fighter, I just want to understand the situation. Please mind my ignorance in this subject.
IMO you are analyzing characters by measuring their objective qualities ( reach, frames, execution difficulty, risky or not etc) and making a balance of these factors to rate them. Whereas Arslan is also looking at the positive matchups they can have. The difference is slight (which is why he agrees with you largely) but the nuance is that some characters may have some weaknesses on the paper but these can be minimized during a specific matchup due to using a particular tactic that works well for that fight Just my opinion though, thank you for the videos :)
I've played 2 eddies that were absolutely the best players I've ever played against online. I've also played a Lars that frame trapped like no other. Just from those players alone I'd rank Lars and Eddie near Paul. Sounds like these lists are just totally subjective.
TMM so naturally funny dude. Or at the very least your sense of humor and sarcastic nature clicks very well with me. Was dying when you were waiting for Arslan to say "Very good player". It's an honor though. Ngl. : )
Hey, new fan and player here! I decided to try tekken because of main mans content and its super fun but i need some help please. To help narrow down the issue my experience in fighting games is strictly mortal kombat (and yes i know its a baby game compared to tekken) but I do incredibly well with almost all the characters. (not meant as any sort of brag but to demonstrate i understand fundamentals that i can usually out box any opponent even if im using a new character) with that in mind im certainly no god tier player i can just hold my own against most people is all i mean, so to my surprise im having a serious issue with that in tekken. Specifically, im maining steve/bryan. with steve i can dodge all day and get people off me no problem but with bryan i cant seem to get people the hell off me. it seems like every match goes like this: they rush me down like crazy no mater who they use and i try so hard to get them to stop humping me with pokes but i either cannot get a move out to save my life or i end up spamming low pokes like a fricken wood pecker to just stop the endless harrasment. I was hoping someone could tell me how to keep people away with bryan and or why when i pick him do my opponents rush me like that? is that his weakness or something? i mean clearly its my personal weakness but does he suck up close or am i missing something? thank you
I am not a Bryan player but I do think being rushed down is one of his weaknesses. I notice I have a much easier time being offensive against him rather than defensive.
I am a Bryan and Kazumi main who started almost 6 months ago and Now I can hang with Bryan against high level players. To start off, you need to understand Bryan's keep out game with moves like 3+4, f3, db3, ff2 and a few other moves. Let me know if you wanna know a bit more and I can give you some pointers. Always happy to help a fellow Bryan player.
tekken is a game where i can see a tierlist like this and agree with it and yet not hate the game for it, like im cool with it and i never had this feeling with any other game, like yea some characters are slightly better than others but not in a game breaking way
31:20 dude, any characters "can" beat each other. Rangchu's panda beat a lot of S tiers. The thing about tiers isn't about "maybe" or "what if something outrageous happened", it's about, ceterus parabus, all other things being equal, in a match between equal players, which characters are generally superior.
Rangchu won Evo mostly due to the fact that almost no one knew the Tekken 7 Kuma matchup at all. This is demonstrated by the fact that after that Evo, Rangchu never got any noticeable tournament placements due to everyone else labbing the character
@@Ritsu362 agreed agreed. What I'm actually saying though is... a C tier CAN beat Akuma or an S tier... it's just not very likely! Even Gigas vs Leeroy, it's not unheard of for Gigas to take 1 round instead of being a 3-0 washout.
@@Jasonred79squeek oh definitely! Stuff like that happens in tournaments all the time, even at the top. But I feel like its largely based on either one player not knowing the matchup and the other player reading the other guy extremely well. Characters like Kuma and gigas are c tier for a reason. Crap range, crap movement, and nothing too op or good. Player skill and knowledge is what really allows one to win this character tho. In that case, these C tier characters can definetly beat A tier characters
@@Ritsu362 One day... ONE DAY, maybe, we'll see a Panda, Lars or Gigas win a tourney finals 3-0. ... ... ... YEAH RIGHT AS IF LOL!!! Yeah, those low tiers can often take a round, heck they can sometimes scrape out a 3-2 victory, but the majority of the time, the top tier fighters are just gonna stomp the low tiers 3-0 or 3-1.
Only need JDCR and Knee here for make the definitive tier list. Prob on S4?.... Pd: Pls Can u make a video with Arslan Ash, I only want see my Tekken hero talking with his Tekken hero
@@RaeBordz27 Please elaborate on how anything I said was toxic. By parameters in which you could label my reply as "toxic", your comment as well as this reply of yours would be 10x worse. I don't get it.
@@RaeBordz27 This is what you said 4 days ago: "Someone in the chat said "why are we offended by facts" because it's facts and it's hard to have a reasonable argue with facts so people take the "hate, toxic, unreasonable argue" route. Just sad man just sad..." End quote. What happened to this mindset? You just did the same thing.
Arslan: hello guys this is MainManPak here(better than the swe ver.) hope you all doin’ awesome as always. Today i’m going to do a response to a response of a response to a response of my tier list video a while ago.
I'm quite pleased of how when TMM says that KOF is famous at Pakistan, and refers to the players there picking Akuma and Eliza first, rather than referring to *an actual* KOF character that's already in the game, the evil blonde, Geese... So They rather play characters with 2d elements, unknown to them, than playing an actual KOF character they're familiar with ? Sounds funny to me and I'd believe it tbh, Akuma is the most rewarding character in the game to master, and that's a fact till now.
Every char can win tournament,it all depends on the player. That's true. But,if you saw Knee picking Akuma and Arslan picking Lars, both people who understands the game, who would you bet your money on???? And that's why tier list Exist. Know Kami(YT) said something like that.
All I wanted to see was MainMan’s reaction to Arslan saying all characters are gonna have projectiles in the future. I’d stop playing Tekken if that happened.
If you want to spend years in the game the better character is obliviously Devil Jin for the only reason that he seem to always be top tier no matter the game, he probably will still be top tier in the future Tekken games that'll come out
When you talked about how technical KOF is, I wanted to start talking about how technical Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle is. Then I realized that no-one plays that game.
Excellent punishment, great counter hit game, long wall carry to make sure you pile on the pressure even if damage is average. A lot of good moves that are safe or have a better risk reward ratio. Lee's only drawback is that for the same amount of work, you can get characters like Jin, Steve, Julia, Zafina, Akuma and Geese...even Eliza imo, to give you better throughput for your efforts. Same drawback with Bryan.
@@BullC6 I'm Lee main as well. In previous tier lists he had always been somewhere lower than average. Season three buffed his b4 and Deadly Edge but also nerfed his Acid Rain and d3. So I didn't think he would be rated that high.
Please just zoom-call each other. It will save all of us a lot of time. 😛😂 This method of communication is like the letter-writing of 15th century, except that we have video now.
Arslan basically just says what everyone else says: the game is balanced. You can win with anyone. Obviously there are way better characters and worse ones but you can win with all of them.
