I thumbs down this because: Fred Durst back in 2000 gave a FREE TOUR back to basics and I got free tickets to see them and cypress hill dispute Napster by giving a free tour to fans who waited in line at each venue..fred walked the entire line of 4400 people who waited days to hours for free tickets meeting greeting them like a true artist he is. No other band can lay claim to that . Much respects to them....F all the haters. They are dead wrong about Durst. True to the core..

Seriously, I'm a musician and I know what shht music is. Limp bizkit made some amazing tracks for sure. And I'll be honest there was a few that they came out with that I didn't like but most of their stuff I love it. I grew up in limp Bizkit and I absolutely love them. I don't know why they've always gotten that hate since the 90s. Maybe because of Eminem and that type of beef I don't know, but West Berlin is one of the most underrated guitarists ever, the guy is incredible everything about his guitar playing is just phenomenal.
Have to be honest I was not a limp biscuit fan, He seems to be a very humble person these days And his answer about rages bass player really changes my whole opinion on him.
It makes me sf happy to see everyone coming to Fred’s aid here in the comments, he was always a chill and funny guy and he handled this very well. I've listened to Significant Other and the whole album is a masterpiece Nu metal wouldn't have been the same without Limp Bizkit Whether you like them or not, you have to admit they have many solid songs that are amazing
LB were never metal, were never in the same box as Korn. Stupid press back then was baptized "nu metal" everything new was coming out after Korn and the subgenre was filled with stupid bands. 7-8 bands from that subgenre of metal were actual metal. Alternative metal. The rest were just something nonsense trend. LB had their tiny "metalic" touches for a couple or 3 albums, but nothing more! I will not say if they're good or bad. That's a matter of taste. But they have nothing to do with bands like, Korn, Slipknot or Mudvayne for example

I saw Limp Bizkit live they were incredible. Absolutely lit the entire crowd on fire like it was 1999 all over again. This was over 10 years ago. Glad I saw them.
Im in the Army and 11 years ago my unit took a bus from ft hood to ft bliss. We broke down maybe halfway but managed to get to a gas station. Who was there? Fred Durst haha he was really chill and took pics with all of us and thanked us for serving. He's cool in my book

I like both bands, but I find RATM lyrics hold more quality and value than Limp Bizkit. Other than that, I think both bands consist of very talented musicians, but Zack de la Rocha beats Fred on the mic.

I love Rage and LB between 91-96 I saw Rage 13 times and I lost track of how many times I’ve seen LB. Fred is a cool Dude. Tim is and always has been the definition of a Douche Canoe.
Came here after Rage broke up for the 3rd and last time and Limp Bizkit are still around and is still playing shows. Yeah Limp Bizkit are "gone" hahaha
I love Fred and LB way more than I ever liked RATM. They have a few good songs, but LB has great music on Every. Single. Album. This response just makes me love Fred even more ♥️
I really don’t understand all the hate they get maybe it’s my age but limp Bizkit was a big deal when they first came out and they still to this day have at least 2 or 3 songs that are awesome
I respect Rage's lyricism and them for drawing attention to serious issues, but the Limp Bizkit disrespect seems unnecessary. Not everything has to be serious and topical. Life is difficult sometimes, so we need silly, fun escapism. I'd rather Limp Bizkit do what they do best than make some moralising preachy material.
I love Rage Against the Machine, but Tim Commorford seems a tad nuts to be completely honest! The full body tattoos, the mountain biking against the wishes of his bodyguards, and so on. At any rate he’s an otherwise smart dude, plays bass pretty well, and was a friend of Zack’s growing up - so, respect to him anyway.
Music aside= i don't think anyone from RATM are decent people. Say what you want about Nu-Metal but the non-mainstream stuff was fire. Like Korn,Deftones & Limps 1st albums.
Limp Bizkit is an over the top, silly, gimmicky, intentionally ridiculous group who write catchy songs that defined a generation. Rage Against The Machine are an extremely serious, pseudo-intellectual, group of annoyed politically charged entitlists who can't even manage to play together for one night because their lead singer is the only one left in the group who never sold out. I'm sorry Timmy boy but Durst doesn't need to be apologized for. Sounds more like you should have history re-explained to you.
