Super event from the latest release of TNO 1.2.0 Toolbox Theory. 0:00 - Great Asian War (High Legitimacy) 0:45 - Great Asian War (Not enough Legitimacy)
@@terrorbird8957 it was scrapped. It was a dev canon for the 1972 start date whenever TNO2 is supposed to come around. only some stuff was confirmed, it went up to 1982. all we know is the R-Ds always won, Heydrich was hitlers successor but bormann won the gcw russia was unified by zhukov the 2wrw ended in a ceasefire collaborators won in england himmler dies in 1982
Lyrics of the PRC national anthem (for the high legitimacy version): "Stand up! Those who refuse to be slaves! With our flesh and blood, let's build our newest Great Wall! The Chinese Nation is at its greatest peril, Each one is forced to let out one last roar. Stand up! (gun fire) Stand up! (gun fire) Stand up! (gun fire) We are billions of one heart, Braving the enemies' fire, March on! (gun fire×4) Braving the enemies' fire, March on! (Charge bugle and battle cry of soldiers) March on! March on! on! " which I think is a perfect match for this super event
You guys forgot the third super event: Thermonuclear war as Long Yun marches into Korea and naval invades Taiwan and Sakahlin by stacking the million dead Japanese from failed naval invasions towards the island.
in the mod, the March of the volunteers is the NPA anthem while the ROC anthem is the anthem of the collab govt so whichever anthem plays is basically saying which govt is seen as the "true China"
First superevent goes like a tide. The intro feels like a bomb being detached from airplane hatch, like an avalanche, that can not stand still any longer. It is a tide of people, willing to free China from turmoil, slavery, and international opression. The peoples of China are finally united under one banner and goal, and dream - a banner of free china, a goal of stopping the suffering, and a dream of freedom. The trumpets call them into battle, it's a signal to all Chinese that the war of liberation has begun. The thunder of guns and marching steps of millions of volunteers echoes as the voices rise higher and higher in song. And then the wistle sends them into charge, they battle cry, attacking the enemy, wanting to push it back over the sea that they came from. One of the finest superevents IMHO.
I think when it's low legitimacy it's better to use the old version. As Sun-won speaking, it shows that everyone turn away, thinking it is an act of suicide. and The current low legitimacy event is Probably suit for Gao Zhongwu's China version GAW.
Picture the masses of soldiers marching into Beijing after liberating China, with millions of people cheering them on as they begin the reconquest of Inner Mongolia and Manchuria.
0:00 Border of Manchuria; music starts in the background 0:09 A Japanese soldier wanders out of his tent. He squints, half-drunk, wondering where the hell that music is coming from. He notices a few columns of smoke in the hills. Exercises? Here? 0:27 In time with the music, artillery shells explode closer and closer to him. He dives for cover over some sandbags. 0:31 Shells pound around him. Planes roar overhead flying the White Sun flag. 0:36 A whistle pierces the air and a thousand lion hurrahs answers it in a single voice. The Japanese soldier jumps out from the sandbags to see Chinese soldiers pouring out from the hills like a burst geyser, bayonets at the ready. 0:40 His eyes shoot wide. He desperately scrambles for his rifle as they storm into the camp.
"In China, two suns - One White and One Red - stand on the brink of perhaps the greatest conflict since the end of the War. Gao Zongwu, prime minister of the Republic of China, spoke from Nanjing earlier today calling for a renewed fight against their Japanese overlords. Reports are flooding in from CBS Correspondents that tank columns have begun to amass on the ports of Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagasaki. Washington has declined to comment on these events at this time, but the world holds its breath for whether the Middle Kingdom will stand ascendant in a new Asian order or remain trapped under the Kenpeitai rule of old." - Walter Cronkite, CBS Evening News, 1974
My theory for why the devs used March of Volunteers for high legitimacy and ROC anthem for low legitimacy' It seems like high legitimacy GAW is perceived by the broader international community as a fight of the entire Chinese nation against Co-Prosperity Sphere, thus the populist-sounding anthem, but low legitimacy is perceived more as the Kuomintang fighting Kuomintang in a civil war of one government against another
Wei-kuo's National Pacification Army v. Yun's National Protection Army v. Xiaoping's SocDem ROC v. Gongbo's Reformed Government v. Enlai's PRC v. Qing Dynasty

Gongbo's ColGov Protectorate Government v. Anying's NatVan Western Sino-Soviets Vanguard v. Yuyan's Taboritsky-style Imperial Cultist Eternal Mandate Front
This is based on the new "Second Northern Expedition" mechanic, where the NPA has to increase their legitimacy, morale and war momentum to get warlords to join them.
@@pandepanda31 "Today will mark the day of the first times the sun of freedom will shine over asia and the wretched imperialist will watch as their own loot began to desecrate their so called "eternal empires",Its time for the far east to truly free"zhukov announcing russia entry to the great asian war to aid their suffering comrades at china -probably
Depends on who reunifies them. Like a more empire aligned Russia (Chita or Vyatka) wouldn’t mind going in on Japan for a round 2 of the Russo-Japanese war. But perhaps Russia’s that are Soviet or democratic would wait to see how it would play out and pick to support the winning side. And a Russia led by Yazov or A Fascist Russia would just be indifferent to The whole thing probably.
Bruh I just sent volunteers to Long Yun and teleported them across all the victory points and now I have no clue if he had enough legimitacy because my audio was off.
The beginning is from a video of a rare recording of the Taiwanese national anthem the second part is the modern recording specifically the last 2 lines
This one is different from other war superevents.... The older ones like Fall Schwarz, Fall Rot, etc. got heavy gun sounds and the music is just a decoration in equal position with sound effects. But this one got heavy music and very very shallow and weak sound effects...
Qǐlái! Qǐlái! Qǐlááááááááááááááááiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! (What is the source for the rendition of the "March of the Volunteers" for this super event?)
It is not, you have to roll back your game to 1.08 in the Beta options on steam. Also uninstall all submods except for any music submods you use for TNO
Just search the National anthem of Taiwan 60s version for the beginning part and the end part is just the modern version at the last few seconds starting from the line "One heart, One soul, One mind, One goal"
As a Chinese some how I do hope there will be CCP road for China under Zhou En-lai or Deng Xiao-ping or even Lin biao’s lead. Of cause as well as a RoC government can be a good try.
They did kinda confirm that the communist movement in China is pretty much dead in an event where the last Maoist soldiers die to starvation and being rounded up by local police. You start with 1% support for the CCP and the event I described takes away that 1% so that tells me communism won’t come back in China.
@@brightdrake_9992 Sure, but you must also remember that: 1. Future Chinese can try to revive the ideology if they see necessary 2. Mao's son, Mao Anying that is, is alive in Kyzylorda (Communist Kazakhstan unifier) so really the success of the Kazakhs could inspire him to try a resurgence in an united China.
At game start it's kinda frosty cos China starts as a Japanese puppet state but China will backstab Japan the first chance it gets and if Germany under Goering chooses to invade Japan China will join the war on Germany's side
To my knowledge China has a fairly negative view of Germany in the TNO timeline. Mostly due to the fact that Germany backstabbed China in favor for Japan during the war between China and Japan. After the NPA victory in the Great Asian War China may remain a independent power or become an OFN observer due to Sun Fo’s time in America after he was exiled from China
Germany and the US would undoubtedly send guns and advisors to China as the GAW is a prime opportunity to extremely damage one of the nuclear world powers for good.
I used to think TNO didn't have a leftist bias, but ever since seeing the PRC Anthem and Mao's Quote as part of the blessed good ending GAW Superevent, I think they have a leftist bias now
