I have so many fond memories of TNT Toons. Watching classic Hanna-Barbera, Jonny Quest, Bugs Bunny and the MGM cartoons, and Rudy and GoGo. My home didn't get Cartoon Network until Christmas of 1996, so TNT and TBS were our Cartoon Network. TNT had so many great commercials that I couldn't use due to time. But it would be a crime if I didn't at least link this one video for you guys. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TCSjUjf6MRU.html So this is the first video that I'm using my new avatars. I've been working on them off and on for almost a year. I would prefer them hand draw (which they are originally) over them being vector puppets because I can get more detail into them and these take longer, but, I mean, they are what they are. I'm satisfied with them and I'm going to continue to improve them. Now I wanted to focus mainly on the block itself, that is why I didn't go into too much detail with Jonny Quest. The history of that would take 20 minutes to explain itself. Now I'm not stopping the "caption this photo" thing. It also won't be in the next video either. I'm taking in consideration that I have many different series going on currently and not everyone watches all those series. I'm considering keeping the Fox Kids ones with the Fox Kids videos, Disney ones with the Disney videos and you get the picture.

I miss those days- now, if TNT Toons had aired The Superfriends for 1 full hour, following or preceding Scooby-Doo, that would've been something to see!!!

Holy crap I remember this in fact I pacifically remember TNT having cartoon block before Cartoon Network. Even though that turns out not to be the case I pacifically remember this existing before Cartoon Network and watching this way more at least until 1998 I switch to Cartoon Network and because we got cable.

I remember when TNT & Nickelodeon were the only place to catch cartoons ( no 24 hours folks!) and to think without TNT there 'd be no Cartoon Network.

@@Toonamp I remember when TBS aired 'Battle Of The Planets'. The first english dub of 'Gatchaman'. Later, Turner would create a new 'Gatchaman' dub called 'G-Force'. It was gonna air on TBS, but wouldn't see the light of day until it aired on Toonami. I wonder if you'll touch on that in a future video.

I've seen 'The Real Adventures Of Johnny Quest' when it had a brief run in syndication during the late 90's, and I did notice the changes made to the show's cast during its run. Originally, Robert 'T-1000' Patrick voice Race Bannon, but was later replaced by Granville Van Dusen, who not only was the previous Race Bannon, but also Dash O' Pepper from 'Freakazoid's 'Tobey Danger' skit. (Just let me throw a barrel at it!) Patrick would later go on to star in critically acclaimed movies like 'Double Dragon'. (THAT was sarcasm) Also, animation wise, I would rank season 2 of 'Swat Kats' much higher than 'Real Adventures', but that's just me. I wish more cable channels had cartoon blocks. Especially since nowadays, the broadcast channels air nothing but garbage. (Cough*JerrySpringer*Cough*Infomercials*Cough*TMZ*Cough*LocalNews*Cough!)

I was primarily a nickelodeon kid but I got too old for Nick Junior. So on days off from school when I was allowed to have the TV on in the background I have it on TNT. Love those old Hanna-Barbera shows. When WCW Monday Nitro premiered TNT pretty much monopolized my television time. Then we moved away From our rural town where antenna could get a better reception and my parents felt like they didn’t need cable anymore.

If you want to do something weird when it comes to history of cartoon Network there was a show called who the nanny and have two host that were pretty much someone's hands with googly eyes and mouth drawing on to the Hand I watched on cartoon Network as a kid and I look back and I think to myself why did I watch it?

I enjoyed all the blocks. When one went off id then switch to Nickelodeon. Never got enough of cartoons. Sill watch toons today. I'm into anime more today because let's face it, cartoons aren't the same today

Yeah Johnny’s golden quest was interesting not only because it introduce Jessie Bannon but it also introduced and killed off Johnny’s mother. I don’t think it has ever played on any of turners channels because I think it was produced by the USA network.

I find it funny that Family Channel aired Hanna-Barbera's 'Popeye' series while the Turner networks aired the classic Popeye shorts.

If it was before Turner bought Hanna Barbera then it made sense. If it was afterwards, it probably because they still had the television rights to air the Popeye shows that Hanna Barbera made.

I'm retooling it a little. It also won't be in the next video either because of the structure of that video. It's a commentary. It's not gone, I'm just working to make it better for those viewers who watch just the Fox Kids and Disney stuff.

Forgotten cartoons that you find interesting, from any channel and any year And as a bonus, you should stream jackbox party pack games, as you said in your 2019 update video

Unfortunately The Cable Cartoon Block series is a placeholder between seasons of the History of Fox Kids. When I'm done with this, it's back to Fox. Although I might consider some of these when the Disney TV Animation series goes on hiatus in between seasons. As far as game streaming is concerned. I have to finish the computer first. One part but is an expensive part.
