Nelson, the D'Angelo interview popped up on my timeline which in turn introduced me to you. Great interview. Having grown up In the United Kingdom in the late eighties and 90's, my father who is a Rastafarian, tried his best to instill or teach me the world I would be integrating into as a black man. He gifted me the Alex Haley Malcolm X autobiography book for my 16th birthday. I wasn't mentally mature enough to understand or even get past the preface. Only when I turned 28 I finally read the book. I then realised and understood all the nuggets of advice my father had been trying to help me see. The patterns are the same. they were just dressed up differently. Really relatable short. Seems like i will be going down the rabbit hole of finding and reading all your work. Hope life is treating you well.
