• Select the cell or cells you want to format
• On the Home tab, click Number Format
• Click More Number Formats
• In the Format Cells dialog box, click Custom under Category
• In the Type list, select the format you want to customize
• Make the desired changes to the format in the Type box
• Click OK to save the format.
