If I remember correctly, this genocide was a long time in the making. Perceived insults and degradation on the Hutus from the ruling-class Tutsis who had managed to hog all of the elite government jobs. Well, a point was reached when they said enough was enough.
Dutch made the Hutus and Tutsis classification. Put "Tutsis" in the colonial government. The Dutch leave. Hutu-majority take control of the elected government.
That's not true at all. I'm Rwandan by the way. Before colonization, Hutu, Tutsi and Twa were just social classes. If a Hutu was able to obtain enough cows, he would immediately become Tutsi. If a Tutsi lost his cows and went to farming, he would become Hutu. They even married among themselves, spoke the same language and shared clans. There were 16 clans. Twa were pot makers. When Belgians came, they made it fixed and put it on Identity Card. From 1959, Hutu ruled the country, having expelled most Tutsi outside the country. They planned the genocide for long, but executed it in 1994. Now, we are all Rwandans. No Tutsi. No Hutu.
@@AsteriskDatBoi ang dami dami nangyayari sa Pilipinas that we're only scratching the surface ng the issues noe. May panahon pa talaga tayo sa issues ng mga ibang tao? Pumunta kayo sa kada government agencies or lgus and doon gamitin nyo mga journalistic skills nyo kung meron talaga kayo non.
@@osyoso_ilonggo No insult but is it true that there are still ISIS strongholds in Phillipines? I watched combat footage from Marawi and what can i tell is that it was pretty intense fighting.
