We “discovered” Matt a couple of years ago through here and we invited him to our podcast fire theft radio. He blew our minds with his perspective and helped us understand Jesus and the word better. It was easy becoming friends with Matt and he imparted so much wisdom to me. I’m a much better human, father and Christian for having known him. Thank you for sharing him with us. God bless you and your family. I am praying for all of you.

I’m actually tearing up bcuz his arrival video covers the acceptance of life and how the universal language is a circle because we all need every part of a whole to define all the parts. And right after that I see this video omg I’m so sad but I know from that video that Matt had a great perspective on life and I’m so sorry for your loss ❤

Dear Lord, I am so deeply sorry for your loss and hope you can find some sort of comfort in this time. Matt was on my mind a few days ago and I was telling my wife about his story and videos. This really breaks my heart.

English isn't my native language, I speak Russian and the videos your husband made are... just what I want to say is that it's so strange that I had run into this channel at some point of my life; it helped me to cope with something I'd been struggling with and he was a really brilliant guy with thoughts so deep I rewatch his vids from time to time. So thankful to have had Logos Made Flesh shared with me! He impacted my faith and my ability to think about movies deeply. I am thankful for what I have learned from him, may God bless your family for the work he did as a RU-vidr but more importantly a man who lived out his faith! As an English teacher, I have learned so much about analysis through his videos! My condolences to your family.

Matt inspired us to look at things from different angle. Gave us not only entertainment, but also gave us these moments of sense of direction. I will pray for his soul, for him to reach his destiny.

Matt’s video’s helped me out through the lows of my medical residency, when I had lost almost lost all hope and contimplated taking my own life. He showed me there was meaning in life when I could find none. Im know im just one amung many, though, and I do regret not having let him know the extent to which he changed my life while he was here. I hope he had a sense of the lives he changed even if so many of us never properly thanked him. Looking down, I hope he can now knows the extent to which his actions on earth made a way for so many to discover God. Thank you both for everything.

I was a new Christian when I stumbled onto Matt‘s Shawshank redemption video. It blew my mind and increased my faith. Imagine these Hollywood, moguls, unwittingly produced the greatest Christian movie of all time! Is that our Lord magnificent! Thanks Matt, for sharing your gift with the world!

I’m so sorry to hear that, my condolences. I just saw part 1 of his Castaway video a few days ago and I was so impressed at the depth of his analysis and appreciation of the film. He was clearly very intelligent and quite talented, I’ll enjoy watching his other videos and give thanks for him sharing his gift with us.

Oh my goodness, Tammy! I am soooo sorry to hear of Matt's passing, and your great loss! I just now, today, for the first time "stumbled" across this channel and watched the video he made 5 years ago about the hidden twist the Sixth Sense, with Bruce Willis. I was immediately sooo impressed with that particular video of Matt's, because I've seen the Sixth Sense MANY times because of my love and admiration for it! Because I was so impressed with Matt's video, I then looked at his channel to see what other videos he has made. That's when I found this one, and learned of his passing! I was so shocked and saddened to have learned of this, and just wanted to let you know how truly and deeply sorry I am for this loss! And yet at the same time, very joyous that he is now united with His Savior!! Memory Eternal, and forever with Our Lord, Jesus Christ! ☦️

I have always been blessed by Matt's passion for finding meaning in his projects. Whether they were in film or his study from passages in the Gospel of Mark. I am saddened by his passing, but know in faith he is with our Savior and enjoying the voice of the Father telling him well done, good and faithful servant. May the grace of the Savior comfort you in this season.

So sorry for your loss. Matt was incredible and feel so blessed that I was able to learn more about film through him. I lovvvved his gift in finding Christian/religious symbolism iright under our noses. He had a beautiful eye for it and I have no doubt that he impacted many by sharing God's message by highlighting Christian messages in fan-favorite films.

I feel like God has me on a track that runs very close to story, though I'm still trying to figure out His intent and plan for it. It's a blessing to find someone else who loves Jesus and God's word and who has insight into the stories that are capturing our culture. Matt is one of the Internet personalities that has stirred in me a desire to learn story symbology better so I can turn it to God's glory. I rejoice for your husband, but pray for God's grace for all those he's left behind. It's a blessing to be one of the souls he's touched through his video work.

Very sorry for your loss. Matt had ears that could hear and eyes that could see in what most of us experienced only as cinematic entertainment. He shared the Logos with all of us so we could live it in the flesh. Grateful that his enlightenment is captured and will inspire others forever.

Lost my wife to brain cancer a couple of years ago. Watching the steady decline in function was a test of my faith and hers. In the end it only brought me closer to God though. I look forward to our reunion when the time comes. God bless you and yours.

Really appreciated Matt's work, and was glad I discovered it in time to tell him. He found meaning in a couple of movies that I had missed, and effectively gave them back to me as stories I could return to more than I would have otherwise. Was very sad to learn that his time here was more limited than any of us would have liked. My grandfather died of a brain tumor; it's a tough experience. Hope and pray peace is, or becomes, known to you in your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found this channel and immediately subscribed. It was obvious that he had a creative mind and pulled me into his video immediately so I came to look at the videos and seen this.

I am so sorry for your loss...Matt's videos helped me to appreciate films more thoroughly and more deeply. I go to them often and enjoyed every time a new video came out. This channel is one of the few I actually have the notifications bell on... not many people can say they've reached over a hundred thousand people in a positive way. I am deeply saddened by this news, and I wish I could offer more than just words...

I only just discovered Matt's channel this morning through the god who isn't there part one video. I enjoyed it because he showed me aspects of the film I hadn't considered before. It's a film I've seen many times but only in first and starts and never all the way through but have always found it very appealing and I keep on coming back to it. I was sorry to see in part 2 that he had had to have brain surgery but although still having problems seemed to be on the road to recovery but then the comments section dashed these hopes. I learnt a lot from Part one and I'm sure I'm going to learn a lot more going through his back catalogue. RIP Matt. Deepest sympathies to his family.

Had no idea that he was battling cancer. I’m deeply sorry for his passing, but we find comfort in knowing that Matt is with our Lord and Savior. To say he was a big help in understanding meaning and beauty would be an understatement. He will be missed and will never be forgotten.
