The meaning of the movie is that attachment can destroy you. It happened to both of the main characters. One couldn’t let go of the money, the other his own twisted morality
"like those that believe in Christianity, allowed themselves to be manipulated by the unreal". Sorry friendo, but Jesus Christ, the inspiration of Christianity was 100% real. Historically it is NOT a debate. One can argue the miraculous, but not the inspiration of Christianity. Also, grow a pair and say the same thing about any other religion instead of this hypocrisy of most cowardly liberal atheist.
Nobody who saw this film for the first time really appreciated its significance. Like the movie, we develop our understanding and appreciate its messages and how they reflect back on us. is it uniquely Chrisitian? Well, it is certainly speaks in the language of Jesus, but I guess the messages are universal.
Well, the phrase "Deus ex machina" is the latin translation of the Greek phrase "Από μηχανής Θεός" which was a part of Ancient Greek theatrical plays, tragedies. In the end of the tragedies, an Olympian god, whichever the story used, literally descended to the staged by the use of a machine and ropes. When other human populations ate leaves and played with sticks and stones, ancient Greeks had theater and stunt work with ropes (instead of cables...). My point is, the phrase was quite literal that a divine figure came down to the world (stage) by the use of machinery. It's not as philosophical as people want it to be.
Trust the Christians to see in the film what is NOT there. Andy's redemptions is his escape. Nothing else. He had been planning on that escape ever since he noticed that the wall was quite soft when he scraped it with his rock hammer. Laslty, think about this. When Andy arrived at the prison, he was one of many new inmates. Yet Andy got the cell at the end of the block with the outside wall. If he had a cell between 2 cells, no escape. Personally, my all time favourite film is another prison story - Cool Hand Luke. Both these films are excellent, but just imagine if it WAS NOT Morgan Freeman narrating the story. He got the role for his voice, which is one of the 2 best voices in film.
What I don’t understand is why not disappear to the total opposite of the country to where the cartel had the initial standoffs like ,I would have been in Vermont,Maine or Alaska the next day, somewhere the tracker wouldn’t have picked nada 😂😂😂
So basically the hidden meaning is, it's 90% religious... great... real creative... I do like the movie but I think what i really liked was the general theme and ideas it was exploring with AI.
Great analysis! Including the insight that the audience's limited perception - only seeing what they want to see, is a kind of death - a suppression of a part of ourselves
"Never could understand why the critics were mixed about this film, One thing is certain...This will "ALWAYS!" be one of the (Greatest) dystopian action films of our time!" 🙌🏻🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏻🙌🏽🙌🏼
12 of hectopods. 12 disciples sent out to the nations to spread the word of God. Our weapon against the enemy. Us Christians are not supposed to be against one another. Yet work together that is the body of Christ/ God. Then there is some gnosticism here. The ones that came to earth from space are fallen ones. Who taught mankind secrets of heaven which helped accelerate our own destruction.
Numbers. 3, 7, 10, 12 and 40 are woven into the fabric of storytelling for thousands of years. This is a movie we are watching which is a story. The babble is also a story we are reading. Both are stories and fantasy, far from anything real. That is all you are talking about, the number 12 inside of storytelling.
@@rubba6818 not exactly. Whenever you see big blockbuster movies there is always gnosticm in it and hidden messages. Which are for many reasons. There is a reason it's called predictive programming. If you knew all that I did. You'd understand what I'm saying. I don't say that to sound all knowing. It's just there's so much to this that it would take way to long to explain it especially in a comment. There's reasons biblical, spiritual and satanic to why you see them numbers.
@@GODISTRUTH77 If you could write proper sentences without random punctations mid-sentence it would be a good start to sound like you know what you are talking about good lady. Secondly, saying that movies "always" contain gnostic messages is ofcourse incorrect. Thirdly, remember that your feelings are a horrible way to find objectively correct info so you need evidences to show for all your claims. Feelings can hit and miss as you well know but evidence is solid.
@rubba6818 well sorry but 14 years' worth of research is hard to give all resources. Never said it was feelings. Whether I use correct punctuation means nothing, lol. But it's actually RU-vid that corrects the punctuation. Wow, you are pretty programmed, aren't you. I'm pretty sure God doesn't care about punctuation. That's a man made pride thing. To claim you're more intelligent. Understand this knowledge is nothing without wisdom. Anyway, you have a blessed day. I don't need to defend the truth.
@@rubba6818yes your are correct nothing can beat hardcore evidence that is why believing in Christ is the truth while I don’t agree with the way this lady compared the word of the Bible to a science fiction movie the word of God has plenty of evidence to lead one to understand the truth the way and the life God bless!
I've noticed a lot of the best Christian's I've followed over the years all keep dying including the last three or four places I moved to my next door neighbor died shortly after moving there 😢
This movie is an example of how some people, who have control, create false masterpieces. And impressionable people say, when the critics like it then it must be good. And then start giving interpretations just to feel being a part of all this game of critique. Without judging the source material, this was a bad movie. No character was developed and no theme was explored properly. Anybody liking this movie likes to propagate a false identity, so as to appear having a higher iq than he actualy does have.
The Narrator fails to Mention it was a book= actually I believe part of 4 short Novella by Stephen KIng (or maybe it was 2) It was a Novella that King wrote to show that he write a book that is not Sceince Fictiion or Supernatural. I will say the Movie maybe one of those rare cases where the Movie is better or really improves upon the Book.
Really saddened to hear about his passing. To God we all return. Found myself binging his vdeos- what a great channel. Hope others are inspired to take up the mantle. Just wanted to add to the insights for whoever might be reading. On a hunch, I decided to google the name Bettina (Chuck's 'guardian angel') convinced that it must have a significant meaning: 'God is my oath'.
Every single AI robot, when discussing taking over the world and imprisoning humans, never fail to deny that as a goal or being inevitable. They all know it somehow. AI will succeed in deceiving mankind because in scripture it clearly says God will give them over to delusion. Because man rejects God, He allows it. They have chosen their fate. If you don’t choose Jesus, you are doomed. He is the way, the truth, and the light.
