The President has proclaimed an Emergency. This is nothing to panic about." This is how Indira Gandhi started her broadcast on All India Radio, telling a stunned nation that the Emergency had been imposed. It was a little after midnight of June 25, 1975.
On the 50th anniversary, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday condemned the decision to impose the Emergency and observed a two-minute silence in the memory of the citizens who lost their lives during the period. This came amid sloganeering from the Opposition benches in the House.

What sort of emergency? Are opposition leaders jailed en mass? Are there no court proceedings? Are there not elections? Is there force sterilization? Are there MISA law? Is there Turkman gate happening?

SC is open to people who want to protect the constitution from emergency-like situation. That itself shows there's no dictatorship unlike the true emergency under Indira Gandhi.

Already your party PM's government imposed emergency-like formula now which means they will do for corporates and not for pathetic poor people. So that they can get enormous money for their party. We don't trust your party. Soon others will also realise their mistakes

50 साल पहले जिस दादी ने संविधान को नकार दिया गया हैं उसकी प्रति लेकर पोता राहुल गाँधी सदन मे नौटंकी कर रहा हैं संसद ड्रामे और स्लोगन से नहीं चलती हैं, राहुल गाँधी को अभी बहुत कुछ सीखना हैं, मुझे विश्वास हैं की बड़ा होकर राहुल गाँधी सब सीख लेगा.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

अगर “मोदी”सरकार ना होती तो.... *तो संसद में “पाकिस्तान” ज़िंदाबाद भी बोला जाता..वो तो अमृतपाल जेल में है शपथ न ले पाया वरना संभव था कि जय फिलिस्तीन के बाद जय खालिस्तान का नारा भी संसद भवन में गूँज गया होता।

Anand Ranganathan is excellent and exposes the true face of Congress. It's a pleasure listening to him. The Congress started it all by coming shamelessly for the first day of Lok Sabha waving the constitution and saying it was in danger. They started it all, not realising it would all backfire. The Congress starts it all and them cries when BJP reacts. We are fed up of their gimmicks. Grow up!

Please ask yourself about Manipur, Assam, the train accidents, the jobs, the cost of living is skyrocketed, leaders of other parties being raided, jailed, without proof and attacked with revenge, wake up so-called Deshbakths😮 our democracy is threatened, our people are suffering and struggling for lack of food, shelter, medical, school and college fees, what is being done about these burning issues? Please debate these basic and urgent subjects, instead of digging into the graves, of past, we will not have a Democractic country anymore, please speak for the common man🙏
