POSSIBLE SPOILER! In the first round (about Manny Balestrero), I was completely fooled by contestant #2, because he said something to the effect that he "wouldn't care" to see the Hitchcock movie, "The Wrong Man." I felt that perhaps only three or four years after the fact, the memories would be too fresh for him to enjoy it as a piece of "entertainment." As I recall, none of the other contestants were asked this question directly.

The first game was as thrilling as the Hitchcock movie. Wonderful suspense, good questions and not a sound from the audience. Magic.

Manny is very blessed that he didn't have to serve any prison sentence before someone found out the truth.

The panel needed Google back in 1957 because it took me precisely 30 seconds to find out who the real Manny Balestrero was.

Young Mr. Collyer is the first instance of a gimmick that showed up on TTTT regularly enough on occasions to be noticeable: the disguised child of a panelist as a challenger. My vote for most memorable child on TTTT was when in syndication Chris Hart completely bamboozled his mother Kitty Carlisle.

Phil Rizzuto was the very first mystery guest on "What's My Line".

I knew it was #3, because 1) He looked like Henry Fonda. And 2) He knew Henry Fonda was known to his friends as "Hank".

What a joy to watch the young trying to fool the old. All seem to enjoy, so did the audience.

The only panelist from this particular episode who is still alive is Dick Van Dyke.

It seems the first three members of the panel were not baseball fans. Pat Rizzuto looked just like her Dad especially in the eyes. Interesting who the other two young men's fathers were. Thanks for the video.

When I was a kid in Philadelphia, Phil Rizutto appeared as spokesman for The Money Store on local TV.

One of the best crime-story films ever made, period.

Later in the year, number 1 was in the "What's My LIne?" audience when his father appeared as a mystery guest. Dorothy Kilgallen revealed that he and her daughter Jill attended the same dance school. He eventually became "The New Yorker" drama critic.

Just finished watching 'The Wrong Man' and could not figure out which one it was. I couldn't keep the lies straight. It became a bit like doing math.
