This is a highlights video of Clitheroe CC's first game of the 2023 season - against Todmorden in Division 1 of the J W Lees Lancashire Cricket League. It was played at Todmorden on Sunday, 16th April.
I can only enhance that. I watch a few other sites, and they are also very good, even though some have no commentary whatsoever. Keith's site is a one off
Great to have you back Keith, shame about the start as had hoped you guys would win it this season, still hopeful but thanks for your fantastic and fairly simple coverage where the cricket does the talking. Your narration sets the scene and them the very good standard of cricket takes over.
@@davidwilliamgay4821 Apparently he is down to play this weekend so he's continuing. This winter he played in the Cricket World Cup Over 50s competition in South Africa and England won!
@@keithfawcett5150 brilliant that Marcus is still playing at over 50. I didnt realise he was. I guessed around 40 odd. Look forward to sundays first home game, and a bounce back from Todmorden. Mind you their overseas player Will Bollisto was good, and is only their standin until june
I know what you mean but it's interesting to note that the Todmorden opening bat and captain for the day, Andrew Sutcliffe has lost some 5 stone in weight over the close season. Check out old videos - an absolutely brilliant effort!
There's one from Read CC called Duncan Bennett who is playing against Rochdale next. The problem has been at Clitheroe that there is a bit of a bottleneck with a strong first team preventing some good young talent from playing more frequently. They in turn have voted to gain first team experience elsewhere. In the last two years some 7 young players have done this rather than "wait their turn" as it were. Its sort of inevitable but its a worrying development and no club would be happy about it.
I'm interested & looking to play in uk if your team required overseas player next year so i'm interested. Can u pls send your gmail id so that i can send my cricket achievement
