Nestled in the fertile, mountain valleys of Utah, Ballerina Farm is named after Hannah, a former Miss New York City and graduate of the Juilliard School of Dance. Daniel is a history major and now holds his MBA to guide the ever-growing business. All those huge farms only keep the cows alive because the cows are pumped full with antibiotics, so the milk is also very unhealthy, which is why since before I was born my family has bought of milk and meat from local small farms, and decided to grow are fresh produce and get chickens for eggs.

My father grew up on organic food. He rarely gets sick. His grandfather was completely healthy until his death at 120 yrs old due to injury he sustained from a fall. These kids are blessed to grow on organic food & fresh air, it will do wonder for their immune system.

@haniforever wow that's really amazing. I totally believe it I just haven't spoken to anyone who's grandparents lived so long. I'm 24 too and my grandparents passed away about 5 years ago. They would have just been turning 100 this year.

A lot of folks died early growing up on organic food. Organic doesn’t mean you’ll live longer. Let’s give credit to science and medical advancement. People were organic in the 1500s and 1600s and the life expectancy was 35 years old.

Milking isn't stressful; it's very relaxing actually. Once you have the hang of it and you're going with the flow, it can be stress relieving. It was truly satisfying to watch the level of the milk rising higher and higher. The worst is when you're almost done and the milk cow kicks at a fly on her belly and accidentally turns the bucket over. Unlike the poor folk in Appalachia, if necessary, we could run to the store and get milk. These folks couldn't. They'd have to wait until the cow was milked again. I actually left my husband based on what happened to my milk cow, Josey, because of him. (Long story that I don't like to think about. ) 😭 😱 😡

If you want a milk cow, the Jerseys are the BEST!! I raised 2 day-old Jersey calves, Chloe and Josey, and milked daily. I shared with their calves. Best of the best of farmlife.

I remember my Papa and Mama having milk cows I was like 6-7 years old. We would go and spend the night with them and the fresh milk was so different to the pasteurized milk that I drink now of course. Papa didn’t hand milk the cows he had these bucket like things that had the suction things on them that he put on the cows. They also had chickens and they used the eggs from them and also dressed out the chickens. I don't remember a whole lot because of my age then but I can remember some of it. They didn’t have running water either so we had to use an outhouse and take baths in these big tub like things after drawing the water up. Your lifestyle y'all have is amazing being able to live like that would be a great big change. Sharing how y'all do it is really interesting. People nowadays depend on modern technology so much and when we dont have it (ex.electricity) its like what do ya do. I'm glad one of your shorts popped up i subscribed to your channel its so interesting thank you for sharing y'alls life with us. Stay safe & be blessed.

Super! I'm watching you from Fair Lawn, I'm a grandmother, I have experience, since I'm from Ukraine. I put a cute hat on my head when I was cooking and when I was milking (I milked a goat, there was such a page in my life). I wiped the animal's udder with warm water and dried it with a clean, dry cloth or small towel. And she hid her hair under a cute fabric cap.🙂

I miss our cow, but at some point had to get a calf as I couldn’t process that much milk. This is hard and rewarding work ✌️

I grew up with my Daddy milking cows twice a day. We sold the milk and people loved it! I remember my Mom shaking the milk jar that we kept to mix the milk and cream together. Sometimes she would make butter. We also had chickens and would sell the eggs. I so wish my kids could’ve grown up like I did! When I saw your children running around barefoot I laughed! I did the same thing. I was always out at the pens with the animals! I think it made me a better person! I still have our milk strainer. They bought it from Sears and Roebuck.

You made me smile. I was like Tulip the cow for a year and a half. Nothing calmed my son or made him happy like being close to me and having a drink. Yes I felt overwhelmed at times but it was a blessing because I always wanted to breastfeed but prayed it would work out. Much love to you, I hope you have a smooth labor ♡

I miss my jersey cow.. her name was.. "Blommetjie".. translate in English is Little Flower.. she had to be milked Three times per day.. I obviously didn't let the Bull near her for her last 4 years.. it was her time to just live life.. she had a wonderful spoiled life at the end . I had a hand turning milk separator.. it separated the fresh milk and cream.. a genius kitchen appliance..

Try straightening your thumb and forefinger take the teat between them and pul down remember to use a milking cream first its much easier

We used to have a Jersey Cow too - she was so much fun (but also a bit crazy at times 😅 like when she climbed up on many many bales of straw just 2 days before she gave birth 🙈; and we looked everywhere on ground level and couldn't find her 😅)
