Look I don't mean to be rude, but you're saying racial stuff didn't exist before 'wokeness'? What about segregation, the civil rights movements, the lynchings? Hell even in the NFL you barely had any black QBs 30 years ago and now you have loads. It's not to do with wokeness, it's tribalism and the ability for the average human being to be incredibly stupid and xenophobic. Of course in an ideal world nobody would give a shit about race but the reality is a lot of people in the world are to some degree, racist.
