Well, as someone who's seen numerous dashcam videos showing objects flying off vehicles on the highway and hitting the windshields of other vehicles, I can assure you that it's quite possible to see an object flying at your windshield and punch the windshield before it makes contact. Are you elderly? Because it's not even that big of a deal, it's surprising that anyone would say this. Based on your reasoning it's impossible for a normal person to block a sucker punch, which only begins a few feet away from them before impact, yet it happens all the time. And bringing up MLB is totally pointless, but the fact that you did says a lot about your understanding of the issue, and your ability to reason and think logically. First of all what he did would be far more like trying to catch a baseball than trying to hit one with a bat after being thrown by a pitcher, there are completely different body mechanics involved, and trying to line up an elongated object such as a bat with a little ball by swinging it from one side of the body to the other is very different from attempting to stop something coming at you by putting your hand out. I had a heavy pipe fly into the side of my mini van from a trailer that got loose from the hitch on a truck from the opposite side of a 4 lane highway. There was a grass median . The trailer stopped there but the pipes kept flying . One hit the side of my van like an arrow shot from a bow. I had 2 newborn foster babies in the back seat. Thank God no one was hurt . The driver of the truck felt horrible. Nice guy. Some other cars had tire damage but mine was the only one that the pipe hit straight on. I was so scared but kept it together until I made it to my parents house . Carrying the 2 babies , my dad opened the door for me and I burst into tears. The police officer kept saying “ You were really lucky . Just an inch or two more and the babies would have been hit . “ The pipes were heavy duty , about 5ft x 6 or 8 inches and hit just below the glass window next to the babies car seats. It was a long time ago but I’ll never forget that fear of seeing the pipes flying with no way to avoid them.
I had been thinking - no matter the underlying dynamics of this marriage - that on that morning Barbara must have complained once too often about that windshield that had been sitting so long in the attached garage before ending up, indefinitely, in the detached garage. They may have been heading out, as usual, for him to drive her to straight to her work for 8 am. I think he reacted to a complaint about that windshield and abruptly left with her in the car to go get that truck right then, though having no idea where it really was. She, likely, panicked and/or became amgry and said she needed to go to work or be late. Things escalated and the fight was on. The pipe may have been in the trunk and an afterthought to create an accidental death scenario. Maybe not. But something was dysfuntional about that relationship and doing everything together all the time when not at work. Either, she henpecked him or he controlled her. His incessant wide eyed deer in the headlight gaze with his sad pouty mouth doesn't have the "I'm innocent, feel sorry for me" effect he was trying to achieve.
Yeah you're right, it's filmed with a potato. We've never invented anything in the technology area. By the way, what channel are you watching this on? And what type of device are you using? Get used to it if you are a true crime junkie, trials and interrogations, etc are often not recorded with high level instruments. That applies to all countries.

I'm really interested in watching this trial but I have the sound turned all the way up and still can only hear every 20 words or so. The person with the coughing fits isn't helping matters.
Todd's defence blamed his lies and memory loss on stress and medication but Todd had no trouble recalling or remembering what he didn't do! Jerry Buting's evidence shows that the pipe could bounce! In Todd's first police interview he said the pipe never hit the ground? Or do we also have to put that down to the very convenient one-way stress and medication?
