I just have to say I just found your videos and I love this one especially. Your technique is amazing. The way you use your nails as tools is awesome. All of it. But more than that; I love that you get to have such focused time with your girl. It's going to be invaluable for her as she grows to be able to connect with you. Get advice. Learn to appreciate herself as God made her. How to take care of her hair texture properly. Patience. All of it. It was such a tragedy for some people in the past to force others to ignore their hair texture and wash away their heritage in the name of who knows what. Fear I suppose. Such a loss. I've been seeing (on social media) a bunch of people embracing their heritage. Learning to care for their hair type and falling in love with themselves maybe for the first time. And it's beautiful. I'm so glad I get to see small chunks of it. I'm a white girl. 😂 I don't have to do elaborate protective styles or anything. But I appreciate the skills and determination involved. And I would love to incorporate some of the virtues from your culture into mine. Not in a stealing sort of way, but an appreciation for the good. Things like togetherness, connection, selflessness (because your arms must kill after this), patience, fortitude, charity, self worth, etc. I'm glad I get to learn from you and I needed to say I appreciate your platform. i have new in-law kids and can’t get their styles to last at all with their loose hair type. They don’t want to use added hair. What product or strategy is good for lasting styles on almost straight fine hair?
Is this braid style taught in your course? I also notice you use your nails to help create the crisp look, can it be done by comb? I’m praying your course will help me learn how to braid my 2y/o hair. All I got are individuals for her. 😂😂
