In this video series I will build a Renaissance style table positive pipe organ.
In this video I will build the toeboard
Topic of the video, first stop and toe board.
It will have 2 manuals and four stops, a stopped 6' an open 3' open 1 1/2' and regal 6', with sounds suitable for the Renaissance/Baroque repertoire.
The challenge is that it will be ultra compact without sacrificing sound.
The construction will be traditional, with some modern concessions, such as the use of the electric fan and some technical materials such as ducts to carry the air, the aliphatic glue for some parts, etc.
If you want to support the project you can subscribe to the channel and leave a like.
Additionally, I also have a Patreon channel: patreon.com/nippocast

There is absolutely no reason for you to apologize for errors in your English. Since it is obvious that you rate not a native speaker, we should not expect your English to be perfect. We’re grateful that you are sharing your work and knowledge with us. Thank you.

VERY nice work, and an absolute joy to watch the progress! I have a few suggestions for you, based on what I observe in your videos. First, you will benefit greatly from using the "knife wall" technique. Google the phrase "knife wall paul sellers". This will increase accuracy tremendously. You should also sharpen your tools way better. A 30-ish degree bevel polished out on a fine stone (sand paper works too, I prefer diamond plates but they are expensive), followed by polishing using polishing compound on a leather strop or a piece of MDF. Remember to flatten the back of your chisels (a cm in from the edge is plenty!) and polish it to mirror finish first. You never touch the back of the chisel again unless you damage it or wear it down past the flattened part. The same thing goes for the iron in your planes. A little tip: a piece of white candle is GREAT to lubricate the sole of the plane so that it glides nearly frictionless. Work on your grip on the plane - one handedly you risk planing out of square. Clamp or screw a block to the end of your work bench to act as a planing stop, if you do not have a vise. And if you don't have one, consider making a moxon vise. Should be very easy for you to do, by the looks of tings! :) I hope I am not stepping over the line here, but I do think you will benefit from these suggestions. Again, it is an absolute joy watching your movies - and I understand you perfectly! :) You are doing something that I want to do myself someday. I have already built a 32 note AGO pedal board for my Hauptwerk organ, so I am not unfamiliar with organ building. You can find articles and images of that (plus lots of other woodworking topics) at my blog, if you are interested: fagerjord.org - I also have my own article about the knife wall, but I have that from Mr. Paul Sellers. Which, if you don't know who he is, you should check out!!! Keep it up! I am eagerly waiting for your next video! God bless!

My personal goal is to build a ii/9 organ for practicing. Three of those ranks would be in the pedal (16' bourdon, 16' Sordun, 8' Flute, and possibly a 4' principal via transmission).

Congratulations on having 10k subscribers! Watching your videos has always been one of my motivations for wanting to build an organ. After a busy period, I can finally watch and appreciate your videos, and I will pause the video from time to time to study. I also want to build an organ with a pedalboard (II/7+Ped) next, I don't know when it will be completed😂

The positive pipe organ already looks very good!👍👍 I have already tried to attract the attention of my friends to your project. I'll try again)) Please tell me, will there be a video explaining the design of stops? I would like to see this mechanism closer, because imagining the design of a pipe organ in great detail, I cannot imagine only stops.
@nippocast

if you mean the physics behind making pipes, yes I will. If instead you mean the mechanism that operates the insertion of the registers maybe I'll show something in the future. Thank you
