Toe walking isn’t a normal variant in development. But isn't always toe walking or flat feet or pigeon toes a problem. It depends at what age the baby starts and how to perform it.
During the first period of walking, babies and toddlers walk in alternate patterns, from toe walking to feet turning in (pigeon toes) or with flat feet (that are normal at first), and sometimes with bowed legs.
Babies first start walking, around 12 months of age, with their feet flat on the ground, and from there, after about six months, they start walking in the heel-toe pattern.
If toe walking, it is not necessarily something wrong, but it always depends on the situation. In some cases, this seems normal until the age of 2 years.
But if toe walking, pigeon toes, flat feet, or bowed legs remains after 2 years of age, maybe you should see a professional.
