I like the Honda cub...but might need a bigger seat ..in all Honesty I would pay for a personal driver just to be safe and just to not be stressed...it looks like having a car here would be at a disadvantage because of its size

Worth noting that 125cc and less do not require a licence, thus the school kids. Very easy for tourists and expats to rent and/ or buy a bike here. My old Honda Airblade starts every time, has never broken, and uses $4 of fuel per month

Thanks for the comment. As for the school kids, legally they must be 16years old to operate a 125cc or less with the exception of those , dangerous because you can't hear them, electric scooters. Also, thanks for watching the video !!

Thanks for little overview! I rented click and scoopy in Thailand before and will ask for this kind of automatic when I come back to SR. I have to get used to the "traffic rules" in SEA again and therefore it is very handy to drive automatic. And cruising through the countryside as an old man means I drive 40-50 ks per hour and I need definately not more bikepower then😆

How popular are E-bike in Cambodia? Here in Mexico and California the E-bike are so popular even for the homeless people because they are so cheap and you rent it by the day and it's just a bicycle with a motor..so you can pedal or just ride in like a motorcycle...and when you are done you leave it on the sidewalk and someone else uses it

Well, we don't have the ride and drops but there is a growing interst for the electric motos and 3/4 wheelers. cheap and great for around town. I heard you can get a new electric scooter for about $500. Thanks for the comment and for watching the videos !!

batterys and heat and rain in se-asia is a really bad combination..perfect weather for batterys are around 10-25 degrees celsius and no floodings

Side-by-side, or utv I think is ideal for Siem Reap all weather all road conditions road or dirt.. not to mention an add-on trunk or cooler for traveling.

One mistake i do se many "westerners " do is going BIG and HEAVY ..well its good on a open road..but in chaotic se-asian citytrafic where traffic rules are more like "rekommendations" its virtually dangerous..and exhausting and bad with a heavy motorcycle 100-125 cc scooters are perfect for the city and i did drive for almost 9 years in Bangkok /Thailand everyday. My thing was buying 2nd hand scooters type honda cub type (or Chinese copy) and drive them until they are beyond repair trade them in for parts to a local mechanic and buy a new 2nd handscooter =)

Also worth noting, bikes and cars are about 20-30% dearer in Cambodia then in Thailand…my ADV350 would probably cost almost $8K in Cambodia, here in Thailand i paid less then $6K. BTW roads in Cambodia have very fine sand/soil on top of surface in certain areas.

Yes, I agree. Definitely watch out for the sand on the street, it will bite you if you're not careful.

Like most Asia countries motorbikes are something that are ridden with no true training, they drive on the sidewalk, the wrong side of the road, run red lights & Stop signs, make illegal turns and if you have a small gap at a light they jam in, they have no patience and no manners when riding. One of the most dangerous things to do in Asia is to ride a motorcycle. I have near misses every time I ride due to no requirements of training or enforcement of laws as to age of riders or basic rules of the road, and its your fault if you are a barang if anything happens, so ride at your own risk, and yes I have been riding since 18 am now 68 so I know how to ride properly, no flip flops, no five people or babies on a bike and always wear a helmet, closed toe shoes, and long pants and ride on your own side of the road.

Thanks for sharing! What does a Honda ADV 160, 350 or a Kawasaki Versys 300 and similar motorbikes cost in Cambodia? I think it would be a very good idea and very useful to make a video or more about smaller to medium size motorbikes and scooters.

I know that a new Honda Click, 125cc new is about $2400, and a fully loaded Honda PCX is over $4000. Thank you for watching !!

No sure how much most of them cost but I can tell you a Honda Click new is @$2,400. The honda PCX 160cc @$4,000. You can get a good used for @$1000. Some theft but not like it would be in the USA if they parked their like they do here in Cambodia.
