@@imanigordon6803 How is Hopsin a meme? Token can do whatever he wants with his music, but It's pretty clear that his past stuff was far more popular. Household Name, Code Red, 30 People, RU-vid Rapper, Curfew, Republican, these are the songs that made millions, if not 10's of millions of views (RU-vid Rapper has 25m atm). In comparison, he hasn't had a song get over 1M views here on youtube in over 2 years, except for BOOM with J.I.D His music is his art, to do what he wants with, and as he says in this video himself, he doesn't chase views, and would rather lose fans than lose himself, but if he spent the past 2 years changing styles to gain popularity (as you claim, not he)... well it backfired. I would love to hear more of this, and less Goldy or Mayflower

@@mattc9598 His past music was popular to a certain demographic which are the fast rapping nerd crowd, which isn’t a crowd anyone really trying to make staple in hiphop wants to be a part of. To be known by the masses you have to be different as in experimental and find your own voice. Being popular and labeled “the next Eminem” is only good if you want to be a meme. Token wants to defy that narrative.
