I wish there were more Arcade remakes like this. I can only imagine how cool games like Snow Bros. Or Midnight Wanderers would look like. A man can dream.

Toki's victory dance is goofy, I love it

I used to play this all the time at the arcade in our Little Caesar’s as a kid. It never struck me as something that was a candidate for a remake over the years, but I’m really glad they did.

Huh... After all these years, i thought the whole Toki remake project was cancelled and just... left behind. But i was wrong. They somehow manage to remake the game and i'm... So freaking happy. Thank you so much for this amazing feat, Golgoth Studio!!

Zorzamoth feels so different. In the original it is made of crystal (not only the eyes) and it breaks down to pieces when defeated. On another note, I guess this could be the original intention but used to think that the final boss' damaged form was a sort of shell, not its organs! Had enough intestines with the third boss :D

Completed Toki tonight and I really enjoyed it. I just wished they included the Arcade version as a unlockable after you finished the game as I haven't played it for over 24 years. I loved playing it in the arcade in the early 90s and.I was a bit disappointed with the Mega Drive as it wasn't really an arcade port.

The animations are amazing. This is the kind of graphical upgrade that the Metal Slug games should receive.

I waited something like 10 years for this game since its announcement and it was worth it. Hopefully they're still planning on doing the Joe and Mac remake.

It's incredible how they made such a polished remake for such an obscure game, but I LOVE it!

I just found out about this game today and without searching discovered it has a remake.

Boss 1: he now looks more like an orc instead of an insanely racist stereotype. Midboss 1: the biggest boss in the game, despite only being a mid boss. Boss 2: hasn't changed a bit except maybe the thorn on its shoulder. Midboss 2: it has one. Boss 3: still freakish and memorable. Boss 4: disappointingly demoted from a crustal Mammoth into a regular mammoth. Boss 5: still surprisingly easy like he was in the original. Boss 6: why do dragons always end up being the easiest boss in the game?

The game Thunder Hoop of Gaelco is inspired from the Toki original version

I had NO IDEA this had been remade. I used to play it a lot as a kid.

The animation is top notch but it only shows how weirdly crazy the character design was, those japanese artist were really creative!

Mogulvar looks like something that would be in Earthworm Jim.

I used to play the arcade version on my aunts laundromat all the time. She would let me play all the games for free and this was one of my favorites. The other being a soccer theme pinball machine and cruise n world arcade.

That's a good remake and amazing gameplay.

I've never seen the original Toki, but something tells me the pixellated art would look better to me than this cell-shaded uncanny-valleyness.

Those minecarts before the last boss always made for a shitty checkpoint. I'm glad I only paid £2.39 for this. £16 pound would support the indy developer, but the full price could only be justified with galleries, and maybe original arcade mode.
