Darn, Oden sure has taste in women: she is just as strong as he is. And he was a monster of a man.

She took on multiple arrows and a gunshot to make a prophecy to the people of Wano. What a strong person!

The OST for this part is also played at Whitebeard’s death. They both died while invigorating the future. Very fitting.

I just love female characters who stand tall no matter the situation And toki is one of them

Being a parent in One Piece is basically signing your own death sentence they all end up dying 😭 Only exception to this as of now is Dragon and Garp

If Toky was really born 800 years before, I hope they'll show her again in the backstory of the Ancient Kingdom. Assuming that she first left in that occasion

This whole scene hurt, but at least she's with Oden now.

Toki is probably one of my favorites female characters, she is strong in character without the neccessity to show physical strong as Oden, she shows her own character with her kindness and dedication, her will is appreciated and her sacrifice as a sign of hope to her country is just beautiful. I hope we could see her more about her story considering that probably she knew about the avoid century.

This flashbacks was a Masterpiece.

"I ran from the past" (in other words not some personal thing but that time in general, the void century or on either side of it probably) "hoping someone would do it" (referring to whatever joyboy and roger were waiting for) " but I can help" (both Wano with hope and in helping set up what Oden said would happen after that 20 years) - I tried an interpretation.... kinda blunt

Oden and Toki last acts were to give Wano hope. They became legends.

I just noticed. If Toki is truly dead, does that mean there's a good chance that somewhere in Wano, the time-time fruit has been reborn and is just waiting for a new user?

A girl who traveled through time to see the Dawn, arrived too early, fell in love with Oden, and left the world leaving a sliver of hope for the people. Now THIS is a strong female character. Not those cardboard cutout figures of empowerment Hollywood peddles. Toki may not have been as physically strong as many OP characters, but her conviction was strong. She could've jumped forward into the future but chose to die in the same time as her love, sending her son and and some Scabbards forward instead and providing the people some hope for the dark 20 years ahead

The oden arc has been a masterpiece

I like how her name is a reference to the fruit she ate

This theme fit WAYYY too well with her death...the moment her eyes lose their spark along with the tune in the back sent shivers down my spine!

The voice actor sold those arrow and bullet shots amazingly. Incredible episode.

this is probably the best scenes picturing someone's death in one piece.. the moment she took that bullet and how the life left her eyes.. it's just they really did such a great work on it.

One piece is great, no matter how long it is it is not to be messed with!

The moon reflection in the blood gave me CHILLS

"you are the moon unaware of the dawn"... This line still gives me the deepest chill 🥶It's been 2 years I still come back and watch this scene sometimes... Heil oda what a life time you gave us... It's been a good journey growing up with your tale ... Heil to the all the voice artists and sound composers to life up this amazing tale...

God this scene was just so poetic. The King dead, the Queen dead.

MAN minato and kushina sacrfificing their life for naruto. Oden and toki gave up their life for their retainers, their children and the people of wano. Gotta love parents

This Anime single handledly made something as Toxic as flashbacks one of the best pieces of story telling I’ve ever seen. This flashback arc was better than the main plotlines of alot of great Anime. One Piece truly is the King of all shows.

You know something tragic is happening when the Ost plays Clockworks Island’s collapse in the background. Rip Toki and Oden. We better see Orochi and Kaido get what they deserve by the end of the arc.

Have they played this theme anywhere else in the show besides whitebeards death? Either way its a fitting theme for a woman who was on whitebeard's and rogers crew and Oden's wife, with origins from the most important time period.

In Odens letter Im certain he told her to escape with the kids if he die fighting in battle. She could’ve easily escape to the future with her power but in her heart that would’ve been to easy, painful, and cowardly to do. Never in her heart she thought to leave Oden to die alone for the dream and life they shared together. She wanted to live with him and die with him out of pure love. Amazing women it was so sad to see life leaving her eyes and not have the opportunity to see her and Oden’s dream become a reality. Hopefully Oda finds a way to revive all the awesome characters that did not deserve to die that would make me happy.

Both husband and wife are tenacious as f*ck. Oden spent an hour in boiling oil while holding up the scabbards Toki was beaten and took multiple haki arrows to the body Momo gonna do them proud.

I wonder if there'll be a scene after the battle with Momonosuke and Hiyori reuniting, with him bringing up how much his sister looks like their mother.

This flashback is a masterpiece. Amazing scene and amazing soundtrack

This does not sound like a prophecy related to the wano war, but to the final war.

her final declaration had 2 meanings "and you shall know the brilliance of the dawn" she meant 1 kaido and Orochi will fall, and 2 the wg will fall

I totaly dig that 9 Shadows and brilliance of the Dawn theme. Because we have multiple factions with the number 9 and we have had theorys about the Dawn for over a Decade now, even going so far as theorising that it is what D. means, tho it could also mean specificaly luffy or something we dont know yet, because rarely is Oda that obvious about anything.
