For anyone who has no knowledge of music or how it works, Bill is NOT using auto-tune. It's called vocal effects/vocoding. It's something that warps the sound of the voice. For example, every Daft Punk song EVER basically. Imogen Heap. Gotye (the guy who did Somebody I Used to Know) did it in State of the Art. Also, the "new member" of the band is probably just for performances. Tons of bands hire on other guitarists to take over the parts that the main guitarist can't handle on top of the stuff they have to play (a downside to multiple guitar tracks being on a song).

1. He is not using auto tune, he is using vocal effects, thats the way this particular song sounds like. Not all of them require this effect. 2. This is a fun little song, maybe its not "deep" and rock-ish as you "old" fans are used to it, but its good and a nice change. I for one love this new sound c: Cheerio.

+Kristina Drew Auto tune has more of an electric effect on it. If you want to correct voice mistakes that's just called good producing. Not auto tune. How i know? I'm learning how to produce music.

I absolutely love Tokio Hotel and I am an alien since 2007, but I just hate autotune, and the way they use it now.. It's way too much, I feel like it's all fake.. I dunno how to explain it, like, years ago they didn't use so much autotune, just to fix some hard notes to hit, as most of the artists do nowadays, and they sounded great! Now they've changed, and that's okay, I mean, we're talking about 4 years it's good and normal to change, it would be boring hearing always the same type of songs, and even if I don't really love the electronic genre they're into now, I still appreciate them and I probably will go to their concert this year. But really, this autotune thing sucks. And I don't get it mostly because Bill can fucking sing, and he does it well. With autotune he just sounds like a robot, and the Humanoid Tour ended 5 years ago.

hey! I'm not their fan and i don't want to offend their fans or them. I just wanted to say that I really enjoy listening to their first album because it gives me feelings, even though i don't know german (i always look up the traslation of them) and it feels real. I can't imagine that someonte wrote this masterpiece at such an young age, but this is different and that's okay, but I think they lost some of their fans by changing their style. The previous albums were different from everything that was out then, but teese new songs are songs for a month, a year, not forever. It's just my personal opinion.

Old TH new TH who cares whatever they do they are perfect great and always the best. Stop the old and new gap its just bullshit they couldn't play the same chords all of their life and the fact that they made music in many genres and styles is the proove they are good artists so stop mouth breathing and enjoy
