I won't need the Japanese versions since the Hasbro ones are good for me, but I feel bummed out that we haven't gotten the other two Zords. Hell, I'd be happy with just the Beast-X King Zord!

im glad to get to see the Japanese version, I'm kind of glad Hasbro got rid of the heads. (the characters being in them) after seeing all the clips break, I'd say the sensible thing to do is to get the Hasbro one next and compare. lol that hasbro blue ape mode. This series makes me wonder if they drew inspiration from gobusters toy line when they did ryusoulger.
@@bcmorgan96 While it's nice they have some added articulation, I really didn't think it was that much of an improvement to me. Though I admit that it comes down to preference. As I said in my video I dig the bulky nature of these. They have a nice heft to them that, aside from the clips breaking, has a premium kind of feel.
@@JTMitchell87 the good thing about the hasbro version and the reason why I'll recommend it to you is because you don't have to worry about clips breaking
I have these toys, and theres soooo many broken clips lol. Even where the rabbit plugs into crane for Great Go Buster oh are broken AND where the sword plugs into the crane. I love these mecha and this was the first season I started collecting sentai but I wish they were sturdier.
I'm going to try sometime to make resin copies of the clips for these. At least while most of mine are still intact. If I do I'll be sure to post a video/tweet about them. These toys shouldn't need to suffer with all the broken clips. :(
There actually was a mecha team that sort of did a combination like Go-buster-oh, and I speak of Dairenoh. In fact, I think that they used Gosei Sentai Dairanger Mecha as some of it's inspiration when making these.
I thought there was a gimmick with silver and gold where if you fly silver all the way down gold's track it could flip a switch and do half of the transformation
There is a switch under the jet that can swing out the pincers if pressed deeply enough, but I was unable to trigger it with the track on the crane so I didn't mention it. You'd still have to push the nosecone up which would also trigger the pincers so it doesn't seem to be an essential gimmick unless I'm completely missing something.
Warning about the rabbit front legs though, they may shatter. My Li-Oh's left arm and connection port also became loose after holding the Ultrazord weapon for months.
I've had these set since 2013ish and only my Gorisaki has a broken clip and I believe it was the one of those you showed in 6:44. I found out that if you pull it on a weird angle, the clip will break easily. There is actually a proper way to pull them apart and Wotafa showed it in his recent redo video for the set. If I only knew that about 4 years ago when I accidentally broke it that one. Also I repaired that clip using some plastic weld. The clip is holds fairly well even though a bit loose nowadays and I tend to not touch that set anymore. My Gabutyra from my Kyoryuger set is a different story though. That one couldn't handle how heavy the auxiliary dinos that's why the clips break. Mine pretty much has broken clips everywhere. I kinda want to take it apart and actually do a remold with those clips with a buddy that knows how to do that with a stronger more durable material. The clips for Kyoryuger were hard but brittle plastic. They should have used the more pliable and durable clips they used to use with older sets from the 80's~ early 90's, as those are actually heavy duty and can handle diecast parts and only an idiot or a small child ham handing it would break that. I have a couple of Pre-Zyuranger sets that are much more durable than the sets that have come out in recent years. Seriously, my 31 year old Turborobo feels more sturdier than the last set I bought which was from Ryusoulger
I don't mind parts formers at all, but to me most of these megazords just look a jumble of parts compared to older ones. I know that's just how they've evolved and it represents how they look in the shows, but they just don't look good to me.
I agree. I love how Go-Buster Oh and Go-Buster LiOh look, but once you start adding on more it becomes jumbled messes. Part of me does like how it looks solely because of how crazy it is though.
@@checob224 I agree in terms of the parts forming, it opens up so many new avenues for combinations. Having said that, the way in which some older megazords transformed in more "traditional" ways always felt more impressive than taking a lot of things apart and adding them onto something else. It felt like the designers had to work a lot harder and be a lot more creative as a result. Not that parts forming means it's lazy, it isn't, but I guess it just doesn't float my boat-zord.

If Hasbro wanted, they could retool any of the insecticon Hercules/stag beetle figures, and turn them into articulated versions of these guys. Since, even the beast Morphers versions had typical articulation for megazords. Oh yeah, kick back, and I am forgetting the name of the rhino beetle insecticon.
Also, i'm not sure if this is entirely sure, but I think that if you run Stag along the track on Hercules' crane, it'll do the auto-morph and flip out the pincers. Kind of the reason why that little stubby tab is on that middle crane piece.
Yeah, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get anything to trigger if I run it along the crane. If I press the tab on its own with something thin it flips the pincers, but outside of that... nothing.
Coming back, to comment that I just started collecting the go buster line abd i have to say, thay it is much better than i was expecting, is not the same when you see the figures on a video vs how they are in person.
Great to see you doing these. I do like the Sentai versions, even with the breaking clips. Hasbro really dropped the ball on their versions. And we still don't have the PR version of Lio.
Beast morphers is better. No clip breakage on the Hasbro Beast morphers version so far. Don't know if I can say the same in 7-8 years from now. Thanks for the shout out. Merry Christmas JT.
Late comment, but I did once own the first 4 Buster Machines (Ace, GT-02, RH-03 and Beet). The only one I have left that's not in storage is Ace. I remember some of the clips on my GT-02 and Beet breaking in the exact same spots yours did. Something tells me broken clips are a particularly common problem with this year's toys in particular...
That certainly seems to be a common issue with these and it's something I hope people start making replacements for. As is; I have tried making some resin copies and they seem to be fine, yet I'm unsure how long they'll hold up. I've also heard the clips of the Kyoryuger mecha also become fragile over time, but mine (so far) haven't broken...
It might not be super great for some of the flexing and weight needed for clips, but when it comes to clastic toy repair, I've found "Gorilla Glue Superglue" to be an excellent solution. I often stick my fingers together though. And watch out for hinges you might glue together. The stuff has saved many a transformers.

I mean. They normally reserve the Haslab stuff for overly large things. Let's not pretend Bandai also didn't bring every mecha over to the Power Rangers toy line as well.
@@JTMitchell87 one would think the lion zord way looks would have legs that can move back and forth. guess it must cost to much to have legs that can move well there are them rare ones that can move there legs
I'm very interested from the little we've seen. It might be something I'll look into buying as it comes out instead of trying to gather it all up years later like I have been as of late.
@@JTMitchell87 you’re supposed to pull down the horn on ace when combining also you do the guns while the guns are still connected to the legs in bc04s battle mode and you dont put aces head on kero ohs shoulder
A bunch of my Kyoryuger clips are broken (specifically on Bragigas and Gabutyra) It's a shame given how nice that line looks but I'm glad future seasons don't have those issues (as far as I'm aware)
So far my Kyoryuger clips seem to be holding up, but I definitely plan to try making resin copies of them just in case they start to deteriorate. Maybe have enough on hand that I could sell them to people who have had theirs break.
I don't want to totally knock Hasbro's since it was their first time doing Power Rangers, but I agree. Some added articulation here and there from them just can't compete with the heftiness and paint jobs of these.
There really isn't a way to get it properly show accurate with how large it is. In the show it's a much smaller skirt so it can remain flat while being closer to the body. It all comes down to personal preference.
Thanks for this video. I bought them all on ebay, and I had a hard time with it. I am disappointed they break still. Quality is still good though, I just wish I can figure out how to fix them for longevity.
