You said that the cheetah head has no storage, but japanime in his review found storage. It's hard to describe and not perfect but it does exist. Thought you should know
Thanks for this. Frank Nitti let me know too during the premiere live chat and I've thanked Japanime on his video page for the idea! I've also found you can store it in the Blue Wheeler cabin if you move the gorilla head sideways, I prefer it there because it's hidden.
I personally think that Hasbro just saw a brand opportunity in GoBusters. Think about it, Ninja Storm started the Disney Era with what seemed from the outside like a new formula for Power Rangers in the 3 Ranger team. The perfect coincidence for marking a new era. Saban's return wasn't too ceremonious, since Samurai wasn't some big milestone aesthetically. I think Goseiger, with its already present similarities to Zyuranger in terms of design, would've been a better fit for saying Saban's back. So, with that in mind, Hasbro likely chose GoBusters since its aesthetics are so different from other seasons available to them, thus making the start of a new era more noticable, which makes people talk about it more.
ToQGer is probably too childish to start with. Zyuohger is boxy, but versatile, Kyuranger is massive in number of members, Lupinranger and Patorenger seems to me as an Autobot-Decepticon gig, though Gangler is their common denominator, and finally Ryusoulger, could revive Kre-O for Power Rangers. Perhaps the 2020 Sentai could give us something more promising and nostalgic like going back to vehicles and boxy robots. Just think of Zyuohger's boxiness mixed with Lupin/Patoren's different vehicles, plus battleships.
If Disney had adapted Shinkenger, and T H E N sold it back to Saban, that might have worked better. We also may not have had Goseiger and Gokaiger merged into hot garbage.
Oh wait. There’s one other point. If Shinkenger was the last Disney Era season, then the Disney would have begun and ended on one of the Chanbara Power (from the Zenkaiger cannon) seasons.
Super Sentai had ratings issues in the past (OH Ranger is one) and is still going on. I do not think a 44 year old Goranger 1975) show is going anywhere
Ohranger also had the most successful toyline until Gaoranger though, so Sentai was never under fear of cancellation in that period. It was shaky around the end of Hirohisa Soda's period as main writer until Fiveman, Jetman brought things back up again. Right now Sentai isn't doing too great, sales have been on a downward trend since Kyuranger and Kiramager did below Timeranger numbers in toy sales. Unless Zenkaiger does really well it may be under threat again.
It kind makes sense that the Megazord is poseable because it is made by Hasbro and they are known for their transformers line of toys that can transform and be poseable.
Holy shit Hasbro actually gave the red one articulation. The promo shots for it were all static but this just proves you can add articulation on a Sentai mech and not make it terribly expensive or a Mini-pla. Fucking Bandai as usual. The only problem with Hasbro is that they do tend to get floppy after a while if they're not ratcheted.
I know this is an old video but just want to point out something. Smyths don't "Get hold" of anything earlier than any other toy retailer. The issue is when Smyths get stock they often put it on sale before the makers (Hasbro in this case) want it on sale. Power Ranger toys often have an embargo on them, meaning the store will have the stock but shouldn't sell it yet, however Smyths are notorious in the toy retailer industry for breaking the embargo and selling it anyway.
I always figured red's zord having a individual robot mode and the other guys forming armor for it was a nod to Season 2 of MMPR with the Thunder Megazord. Cause red's zord was a dragon that turned into a fighter, then the other zords turned into the armor for it or Tigerzord.
I think one of my favorite aspects of your videos, and one of the things that make it stand out, is how organized it is. It even has section for history! Never say you don't learn something from Powerrangertube's videos.
At least Hasbro fixed a complaint i had about the Japanese copter zord, that being the cockpit area up front on the Japanese version, there is a pair of ugly looking fists and an empty chunk just sitting there (and i know why it's there it just looks awful) {Edit:Just saw you pointed that out}
I think Bandai America lost long time fans with Zord Builder. The black ports sticking out of was very ugly. Sure, it's fun for play, but this offering from Hasbro packs in more play features with every mode ticked off the checklist, a great "show accurate" design, and articulation that is unheard of in most Zord sets.
My gorilla body port sticks on fine, it's just hard to remove without damaging it. The cheetah tail though, does yours stay put upright? Amazing if so!
I was able to fake a hunched gorilla mode having the upper half lean on the lower. Looks great when displayed and I don’t even use the standing mode. I also have the tail in cheetah mode by placing the handle upside down and using the same port as the spoiler mode.
To answer that question about Toei paying homage to previous sentai, they do it A LOT. If it's not blatant like in Gokaiger (and now Zenkaiger) you have things like Boukenger having villains looking like previous mechs (one of the main ones looking Daizyujin) and Galaxy Mega in Megaranger being a homage to Bio Robo, both of those being 2-piece mechas.
Also watch out for repaints. On the transformer side, currently transformers is doing cell shaded repaints and even a whole line dedicated to repaints. They might just repaint it with metallics if they think there's profit to be made
@@myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9 yup. But not only that but I just realized, when Hasbro gets around to previous zords, we could have a repaint line too, for all the obscure movie zords
@@myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9 not just black repaints. The wildforce knight red repaint gorilla zord, the shogun zord from rpm, the carnotaurus from dino thunder as well as the lava dkmetrodon. There are so many repainted zords I can't imagine in a normal retail store, but a line like the selects may be our solution
En mi opinion me gusta mas el japones ya que aunque no tenga articulacion como la americana, su combinacion y armabilidad son mejores y no son tan deformes como la american. Pero es el gusto de cada quien.
interesting. When i get mine im probably gonna sand the screw hole so i can plug in the yellow piece to the back of the megazord cuz that is way too loose for me and ill probably find a custom way to avoid the new blue piece.
It's a shame the Gobuster designs. You either get the Japanese originals and have the clips destroy themselves slowly and painfully or you get the American versions which look like they're made from shampoo bottles.
got good news for you man Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger is getting adapted into Power Rangers Dino Fury most people are disappointed cause they wanted the name like Dino Knights my opinion of the name the opening music for it wouldn’t stick well Dino Fury seems like it could work for the opening music theme for it everything for arsenal and Zords themselves will probably be called the same as the name like Dino Fury Morpher and so on what do you think of the new PR series
@@powerrangertube I DID however, grab the Dino Charge DX Megazord and Ptera Charge DX Megazord. Pretty good compared to the Legendary Megazord in my opinion.
my target in the us sucks at stocking their shelves. Since toysrus is coming back I hope that target loses toy sales. They shouldn't sell what they don't stock, also think sentai should take 1 year off so they can then release the series again yearly also stream it online would help in droves
Go Onger And Go Busters Zords Are Almost the Same Alive= Same Animal= Same Car= Same But Go Onger Has Engine Cells So It Can Live On Earth Without Any Problem
canada took over the episodes airing too we didn't even get a hiatus and according to a reliable source who's been watching the australian airings ( soundout12 for anyone that cares not a shameless plug i swear ) is only one episode behind ish
Well, this video didn't age well. Power Rangers is all but officially dead with Warden going back to Transformers while Sentai seems to be going strong right now.
Hasbro’s forcing the cash into the Transformers Siege line, so the plastic quality in the Beast Morphers line is Transformers Cyberverse quality (it’s shit).
Eight months in and US stores have yet to have all the zords in stock. Racer and Wrecker are no where to be found. Speculation has it Hasbro might be self sabotaging to prop up Transformers.
@The Deadpool Who Chuckles. Barbie is owned by Mattel. Hasbro is making enough money off the Lightning Collection figures to not care about zord sales.
Because you sent me down a rabbit hole with that "last Megazord with elbows" question... technically Lupinkaiser has them but Lupinranger vs Patoranger hasn't been adapted yet. Really the only one is Gaoking/Wild Force Megazord.
honestly I never really cared for the neo saban megazord toys bc they felt cheap and missing out on stuff but this looks promising , I might pick this up
It's a bit of an allusion to the Tortoise and the Hare, and in Power Rangers terms, I was referring to how each year has a lot of balls to juggle around the world, with both the toyline and the TV show. How it's weird that when I made this, America had the new toyline and the series first, but Australia had become first for new episodes, and the UK had got the 5 zord toys first even though the show wasn't airing yet.
