Tokyo Cafe Hopping VLOG ☕️ Nakameguro (coffee, pastries, brunch) | Life in Japan 🇯🇵
Hi guys! In this week's video, I explore Nakameguro a neighborhood in Tokyo that's popular for its cherry blossoms, cafes and high end boutiques.
Here's a link to everywhere we went - goo.gl/maps/RDnZVZG1XYzxaZoB7
We start our morning at Flour + Water, a brunch spot that opened within the last year. Here you can choose up to 4 types of bread and a soup or salad for 1,900 yen. Overall while I consider it quite pricey, I was full until well into the afternoon. If you love bread, pastries, and tea then this is definitely a spot for you to try out.
Next we had coffee at Nakame no Temiyage which is more of a coffee stand than a cafe but I would definitely recommend it for traditional Japanese sweets, seasonal drinks and of course, their coffee.
Following our walk along Meguro River we headed into Sato Sakura Museum which is pretty hard to spot since it isn't flashy or anything. It was 500 yen to enter and see the exhibit and I enjoyed looking at the different paintings of cherry blossoms.
After that, we had another afternoon pick me up at Plain People. It doubles as an apparel store and it's dog friendly so there's always a lot going on. The owner of the cafe is really friendly and it was nice to just hangout in the cafe surrounded by dogs lol
Our fourth cafe of the day was Onigily Cafe an onigiri (rice ball) speciality store. If you're looking for cheap eats, I would highly recommend this cafe. Unlike other places that serve onigiri, the lines aren't so long and it's less than a five minute walk from the station.
Last on our list was COM cafe. It's along the main road, much smaller and popular for its cannolis. It was my first time trying a cannoli and I liked it more than I expected.
All in all it was such a fun day exploring Nakameguro. I enjoyed it so much more than all the previous times I've gone and I hope this gives you and idea on where to go on your next trip!
