Glad to hear you're doing okay! I'm having a similar problem with language school. I stupidly enrolled in a more advanced Japanese class disregarding the fact that I'm 7 years out of practice. I keep embarrassing myself in front of complete strangers. I'm trying really hard to catch up with the class and sometimes it gets too tough that I want to cry but I keep moving forward. Congratulations on the youtube award! You really deserve it. Your vlogs always lift my mood.

I am really glad you are still around, even though it's from time to time. It makes me feel good to watch your videos because I really appreciate how you talk about your feelings, and those ups and downs, because I struggle with mine too and hearing you makes me feel less lonely. I also find in you a person to share with the appreciation of those little details in life (like nature, or the joy of making a cake haha). About your peach pit issue - I had the same issue when I started sourcing peaches to grill in summer. There's an important distinction with peaches related to how the flesh sticks to the pit (or stone) of the peach. Freestone varieties will seperate cleanly and easily from the pit, while clingstone (or "cling") will have flesh that sticks to the pit. It's likely that you had a lot of freestone varieties at home, while your current area is all cling. You can't really tell from looking, so it's best to ask your merchant as to the peach variety, and stone type. The cake looks lovely though, I really like the presentation with the pears on top. :D
