Dude thanks a million for doing this video.I had tried everything and still leaked.I removed the side valve as u did and sealed it up and happy days a working mag again.
So how come whenever i fill my mk23 magazine with propane it like sprays out crazy from where i fill it but still fills it sort of? Mind you this gun is brand new.. anyone know why
Breanna Bryant your fill valve ring is broken. Just use some silicon tubing in the bottom of the fill valve to prevent metal-metal interaction because it cant hold the gas transfer
It’s meant to blow back out it’s made that way so you don’t over fill them. When you do the mod in the video I also put tiny 0 rings on the inlet fill valve so it stops this happening.
Is it normal gas magazine leaks the gas in the winter without specific reason? All of my mk23 leaks the gas slightly on the bottom suddenly. Do I have to fix that magazine now or just leave it till spring ?
well, with cold temperatures everything shrinkes, including o-rings in gas valves and such. best thing to do is simply not use the green gas (or whatever version of green gas you may use) and stick to Co2 in the winter if you must have some form of gas. in other words, buy another handgun with Co2 if you can, otherwise, don't use the one with green gas in the winter!
Hi guys, or whoever still lurks here. Anybody tried this out yet? I haven't managed to push the side pins out (2 pins that dont need drilling). Anyone can enlighten me on how to push those out? Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Lay the magazine on a table so you can see 3 pins. Use a 1/8 inch punch (such as a TEKTON 66053; there are cheaper alternatives) with a small hammer to drive the two outer pins straight down. It should only take a few sharp taps to loosen them. Once the pins have started moving, be sure to move the magazine to a position where the pins won't be driven into the table. For the center pin, it's easiest to use a centering punch (a pointed punch) to dent a small mark directly in the center of the pin. Then take a 5/32 drill bit and carefull drill straight down to eat away the pin. If you slip off the side it's very difficult to get centered on the pin again. You only need to drill down 1/16 inch to remove enough of that pin. IF you end up slipping off the pin and can't get back on, the magazine still isn't ruined. Use the drill to make a small SHALLOW (remember, just break through the edge of the magazine body 1/16 inch deep) channel in the magazine body from the bottom of the pin to the baseplate. Then you can still remove the baseplate even though the pin is sticking up through it, and continue with your repair.
