Kazuya is a rough MU for some characters unfortunately. But he also has some he loses heavily, due to his disadvantage state.

@@Irreve-rsible Yes, and I hate him for it. He is a charter that Invalidates some, then gets invalidated by characters like Sonic. This heavily punishes character specialist. In my opinion this makes him even more broken then Aegis or Joker.

I don't understand this "deserve" thing. Deserve a set, deserve the win... I only see comments like this in Smash community. I don't see it in other fighting games. In other fighting games, if you win, you win. It's not like outside forces cause you to lose. It's also a 1 on 1 competition so you can't blame teammates.

I know Kazuya isn't even the best character in the game, but man are some of his moves outright unfair. Nao played better but still got 2-0. Not saying Riddles isn't a great player, but the better plays were done by the loser of this match.

Exactly what I was thinking. Those Mario combos are so satisfying to watch, and he has to do so much, only to have it all undone in a couple seconds.

Agree. I think it's a shame that some of the best technical players are devoted to characters (Like Luigi, Peach, etc) that are just at a disadvantage against most late bracket opponents that rely heavily on their gimmick(s). Kazuya in particular is in the running with Sonics and Steves as just sucking any enjoyment out of viewing.

I have a genuine question, if people hate kazuya so much why are they always first views on Riddles matches? Almost as if they had bell notifications on. That’s real weird. The game isn’t getting dev support anymore so nothing will change, like I know min min isn’t getting tuned or joker. With that being said you would never catch me on a video watching said character🤨. Unless…. There’s an underlying reason why these people tune in so hard🧐

Kazuya would be 40% more balanced if he died at just a bit lower percent. This is at least the 10th time I've seen Riddles' Kazuya live from an attack that should've ended a game. It's frustrating to see a player that's a bit more skilled get "outplayed" because of how busted the opponent's character is.

I understand the weight argument but if they were to fix his Weight they would have to adjust something else. Like maybe the 7 frame jump squat that he has. All other characters is ultimate have a 3 frame jump. He’s already at a severe aerial disadvantage.

Considering this MU I think it's safe to say that Japan is *much* better against Kazuya than NA and EU are. He lost but he moved really well vs Kazuya, if he got more Kaz practice I think he could've won even. Very soon we're going to see people run circles around Kaz with certain characters trust me. Kaz is overrated.
