Probably the best figure skater to have lived. He was so innovative and artistic.

Always loved him! So unique - never afraid to be himself.

So sad to hear of his passing! Much, much too early! Every single gesture he made meant something within the music and the characters he portrayed. Not a single bar of music nor movement was ever wasted. He sang with his body and interpreted music like a ballet dancer, opera singer, instrumentalist and painter rolled into a passionate artist. His body was an extraordinary instrument. He was breathtaking and captivating to watch. For me, the essence, artistry and enigma that was Toller lives on through his artwork. No skater before him nor since has ever inhabited music and dance as he has! My thoughts go with his family, friends and, above all, his wonderful coach, Ms Ellen Burka!

He was awesome. His positions in his spins and arms are remarkable as was his flair. I wish he was skating now and could skate to whatever music he wanted to.

Beautiful! Just beautiful. He had a great sense of drama too when he skated at the music of "Tosca" (you're right: this was not "I Pagliacci". Nevertheless, this is TOLLERMAGIC again and of course "The Graduation Ball" is always so fantastic to watch. I'm happy the audience appreciated him more than the judges did. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Toller - purely iceballet (Nureyev on ice/Baryshnikov on blades. So graceful! this can hardly be compared with the clownish way of skating by Plushenko. You are certainly right, MissFit

Evgeny is a very technically strong skater but I prefer Toller's artistry indeed. Especially his spins and arm movements are never to be forgotten

T.C. was by far the greatest skater of his era...(or any era,for that matter!). The fact that he was once awarded a dopy bronze says more about ref's and their incompetence then this canadian virtuoso !!! And you hear this from a russian!

Simply stunning. HE's one of the only male skaters I would truly describe as mesmerizing. His position at 1:38 might be my favorite position of any male skater in history... beautiful.

I'm sorry but I must contradict you: the music from this exhibition really is from the opera "Tosca" Nevertheless, Toller "skated his heart out" with this nice exhibition: his positions and spins are never to be forgotten.

Toller was superb and funky. The judges were watching John Curry, who was superb and exquisitely classical.
