They were good in the past. The current team is riding on past goodwill that is diminishing fast with their FOMO behavior, lousy designs, old materials and now, a retail store in a mall
Excited to see the review. I've already preordered, so it won't influence my purchase. Still excited to see others' perspectives. This bag is pretty much everything I had been hoping to get out of a bag. The biggest thing...I love, I mean LOVE Tom Bihn. And this one is likely to fit my wants/desires perfectly.
If I were in the market for a new travel bag, I'd give this a serious consider. But I already have both a Techonaut 30 and Synik 30. At first glance, I wasn't very impressed with the Bixby, but after seeing a few reviews and pack-outs, I think this one does have its place in the TB Lineup.
Great review with a lot of details. Excellent job as always - I've been toying with this new model to replace my Synik30 but I don't care for the Bixi's organization - The Synik30's pockets are amazing and it's hard to switch to something else (except for the Able Carry Max). Question: Do you memorize all of these details or are you working off flash cards or notes somewhere while filming? Your delivery is solid and I'm amazed that you can recite all of this so well.

For the videos I do typically memorize the specs / details (although I might need to consider using some sort of notes as I sometimes forget items 😅)

This bag was controversial amongst the Tom bihn diehards, I think it’s fine. I prefer the layout of the techonaut, but for some people the more normal looks of this bag will make it more appealing than the offbeat offerings from tb. It’s like a more colorful, lighter aer with more premium internal fabrics.
