Iowa made a mistake Tom brands made a mistake and he did that by keeping Ryan Morningstar over Bret Metcalf Morningstar was at best was a All-American at best at this time in Iowa Metcalf was a national champion Hawkeyes have lost great wrestlers that could be on that coaching staff but instead Tom chooses to keep morning Star because he was buddies with his dad I'm sorry if this ruffles any feathers but he was just an average wrestler and you got him in coaching wrestlers that want to win a national championship well you need national championship coaches to do that Tom and terry can't do it all they need help from their coaching staff and I really believe that's where they're lacking as a team

3 point takedown takes a lot of the grit and grind out of the match with stall calls not as significant. 3 point takedown directly affects the effectiveness of Iowas style.

Have someone else talk to the media about Iowa wrestling other than Brands. He is the least helpful or informative. Almost always combative to the media, evasive and unwilling to actually answer simple questions.

Iowa program sucks, the brands as a staff are too old to connect with this generation, they are suffering at the upper weights, the Ferraris were a bad look, Oklahoma State seems to have a better future even though they lost in the dual, and to top it off uniforms suck (they could do a lot more wih yellow).

His style doesn’t win titles and his guys don’t get better they slowly get more conservative and go backwards.

Go get some more black kids. Iowa style isn't working. Be diverse with recruiting
