I met Chuck Horner as a young airman at Shaw AFB as we were revving up to deploy for Desert Shield. I was keying up a secure telephone at his house... and asked where should the phone go? A 3 star general. He replied, "Son, ask my wife."

Tom Clancy is a great author of insight and authority. His novels have been turned into successful Hollywood movies. I can't wait for what he is going to come up with next.

mdb831 it’s really unfortunate how people are taking his name and twisting it into their own agenda. He has passed on, so I believe that it would only make sense to honor his legacy by trying to treat his creation how he would if he were still here. I guess someone’s agenda is more important than the vision of a literary genius. Very sad.

Bennie Mabe We did 3X more bombing in Vietnam than all air wars combined. If you mean saturation bombing the North placed strategic targets in civilian areas & Russia tried to provoke UN intervention by offloading munitions close to bombing sites. Only crazy LeMay thought like you.

This interviewer has no talent for what interviewers are supposed to do. He speaks over his guests to let us all know what he thinks rather than what they think.

The opposite might be true. Charlie was/is a very experienced interviewer. He knew/knows how to cut through the needless words to get at what was needed.
