Damn, what a memory for me! I’m American, my wife and I were in Quebec in the summer of 92, back when crossing the border was easy. I wrecked our car after I discovered the exit ramp I was taking was actually a hard curb. The whole front suspension was messed up. I’ve always been grateful to Tom DesBois, the service manager at the VW dealership at the time. He and his team hooked us up with a motel in the area and got our car back on the road in three days! While we were at the hotel, we were watching Canadian music videos, and Sinking like Sunset came on. I’ve loved this song ever since, and discovered only later he was in Red Rider Oh, the memories!
Best Tom Cochrane song ever in my opinion. Tommy going from low baritone voice to his classic “I aam not a rock and I can feel it now” voice. As a man in my 20s, I continue to love introducing my friends to this legend

Over 30 years later and this song still brings a tear to my eye. Such passion! Saw him in Kitchener a few weeks ago. He's 71 now and basically looks the same, just a little grayer on top. Still moves and sings like he's in his 30's.

I have always liked this song so of course I turn it up when it is on the radio. Then one day this song comes on and I turn it up and it hits my ear like it never has before. I have a greater appreciation for this song now.

Had front row floors at Massey Hall to see him a few years ago and he's one of the few artists, like Rush and Pink Floyd, who sound as good live as their albums. Always one of my favorite musicians. Very underrated!
WMVA, Toronto, in the late 80's at Much Music. I thought I saw Tom Cochran there, but since my eyesight's not great, didn't want to pester him, just shadow him. Always wondered if it was him. Alan Frew was easier to peg, he actually came up to me because he saw me keeking at him. Tom Cochrane, hands down, the best solo singer to come out of Canada.

Things aren't going very well I'm sick and I can't take it more I am emotionally drained and things are very bleak . No one gave me a chance to voice my opinion I am best I am done I will never understand why no one listened to me .at this point I don't think I will be ever ok I don't think that is possible to much has happened and I am a emotional mess. It is what is I simply cannot be what im not and no likes to be pressured into something no one asked no told me that would have been helpful all to discover everyone is freaking out

Doesn't match the album version. Vocals and instrumentals aren't the same. Also sounds lower quality too. Thumbs down. (I have the original album, so I don't get fooled by bad RU-vid uploads.)
